Montes Concrete LLC

Hired Montes Concrete LLC (Valentin Montes) for a 20'-0"x25'-0" Concrete Patio in my backyard. He was is a registered MN Contractor in the state of MN. Contractor Registration Number: IR813605 Paid the 1/2 down payment of $2,592.00 for materials, the rest of the sum would be paid after completion of the concrete patio. On 07/14/26 Valentin Montes informed me that he didn't order enough Class 5 Gravel for the base of the concrete and that he needed more money for materials and tools. I told him I already paid him the down payment and he said he already spent it all on rent. Valentin also said that he didn't have enough money to order the concrete truck at all since he spent it already and wanted me to pay the remaining $2,592.00 so he could order concrete and purchase tools. At this point I told him that we agreed I'd pay him the second half after the job is completed. I will be making a full complaint to registered MN Contractors department.
