1 star is not low enough. For dan, he is undoubtedly the biggest scam artist I've ever run across in my 60 years. He ripped us off for 30k dollars and to top it off he's not even skilled at concrete. Crooked forms bad surface on sun porch. Garage floor came out good but only because he had someone else do finish on it. I had to pay his crew because he had taken money that I gave him for foundation work and spent it elsewhere. Just a terrible guy. I wouldn't hire him again to dig a ditch.

A high-quality plumber that was punctual, highly trustworthy, clearly communicated, gave me an expert diagnosis, clean, and fair priced. Dan repaired the clog in my pipes. He knew exactly what was going on. He gave me a price and stuck to it. Before he came, he asked what was going on and gave me ideas on how to clear the clog to save him from coming out. He sent me different things i could buy to try to do it, by myself and said he would be willing to call me and the advise was for free. Just a very good guy. Not only, did he clear the clog, but also, saw other issues in the house that needed to be addressed and told me what product i could buy to repair it myself. He made me, as a customer, feel valued and comfortable with the work performed. Don’t hesitate to hire Dan. I was very concerned about some of the reviews I saw on him. I couldn’t afford the other prices i was being quoted, so i took the chance. I told Dan my concern and he told me that someone was giving him bad reviews and hurting his business. I don’t know who is doing that to him, but if you are reading this review, it is not right to mess with peoples livelihood. Especially, in Maine where winters are brutal and work is hard to find. Furthermore, Dan is a great guy, hard worker with an unbelievable work performance. It is wrong on so many levels. Based on his performance, there is no way he could be reviewed that badly. Therefore, whoever is watching his reviews, take my word and ignore the bad reviews. Once Dan left, i knew for sure that the reviews were made up and will definitely hire him again.

To start with Dan Woods seemed to be on top of things. We needed a garage door replaced which he put on upside down and drilled holes in the wrong place. He offered to replace the door and the frame. He complained he was having family problems and said he would come back and repair his mistake, well it is now 3 months later my door has not been replaced or repaired. This is extremely frustrating .Worse yet we paid him in advance. Being fair he did do a few other small jobs and the work he did was good. Having a family problem is no excuse for a poor and unfinished job. He did the hand railing and did not sand smooth at first but did come back and fix that.

I am writting this because I think the world should know of a scam that was pulled on a 77 year old woman. Dan Woods from Callous Construction LLC begged her to give him her credit card early to help send the woman he was with on vacation. Not only did she give him her credit card but she also let him take money off it and he did not start the job for a month and then he only showed up for a few days for a few hours. She bought all the materials to do the wall on the one side and paid him in advance for a few days work. When he came for the first day for 2 to 3 hours he ended up destroying the entire thing when he was only supposed to do one side. He messed the job up and also did not take care of the materials so some bags were destroyed in a rain storm. She gave him permission to go get the bags anyway to complete the job. Not only did he only show up a couple times for 2 hours maybe. She prepaid multiple days because he begged her to help him so he had money to live and cried about his woman leaving him and not coming back and taking his money. How unprofessional!! He has since told many lies and promised multiple times to show up when he has not. Not only did he not complete the job but he tore it apart and destroyed it way worse then he was supposed to. He said he was so good at this work and could do some much that other carpenters up here could not but he lied. It is a bigger mess then it was ever supposed to be. When he finally answered from a number he did not know he came up with a bunch of excuses that he had to pick up side work cause of his woman leaving and he needs money and hes trying and blah blah now he refuses to answer again. I have all the messages and recordings of the calls that he admits he was paid so I will be more then willing to let anyone hear and see the proof if he lies about it too. Now this 77 year old woman has no idea I am doing this but I must because to take advantage of the elderly like this is just disgusting. What kind of man supposedly running a legitimate business does this. Not only did he screw her on this job but he never cleaned up the mess he left from the first jobs she had him do. Please Please Please if you have any questions about all this or want to hear and see the kind of man he is and the way he runs his business please just ask. I am more then willing to show the truth until she can get the justice she deserves! Better business burrow and courts here we come. I cant wait to see him talk his way out of this one when they hear him repeatedly admit he was paid and how many times he lied about showing up. Thank you all for listening! I believe the elderly in this world deserve to be treated with more respect then to have someone just come in and steal from them! You should be ashamed of yourself!

I was very pleased with the quick response to my glass roof leakage. I was kept well informed with the problem and how they were going to fix it. Things look great, however, my problem was a leak. I will not say everything is great until I have rain on the roof and I see no sign of leakage. I feel confident things have been handled properly, but until I have rain falling on my roof and see no leakage I can t give them a Great rating. The project changed a little bit but well worth it. Great job, well done, kept me in the loop on changes, very friendly all while we had incredibly hot temperatures.

Dan is very responsible and does a great job. He is proud of his work and rightly should be. I will recommend him to people, friends, and family.
