We had our roof replaced, dormer added, and new gutters installed last summer (2016). They finished work quickly, ahead of schedule, and I have had ZERO issues with the roof and gutters since. Not to mention that it looks a heck of a lot better. The water situation has improved around my foundation drastically, with properly installed gutters.

We called to get a estimate scheduled, Jay Nyboer came out in a timely manner he was very pleasant and professional. He listened to what we wanted to have done came back within a week with the estimates. We agreed on the price and the date his company could do the job. Even though the date we agreed on had to be rescheduled 3 days later...the men were here bright and early and got started. The men were friendly and seem to know what needed to be done...we had one day delay because it rained but they were back the next day ready to work. When the roof was completed the men cleaned up very well. There was a 4 day delay from when the roof was complete and the gutters were installed. My husband had to call Jay to find out what was going on and it seem to be a communication error on their part. The different crew men that came to install the gutters were also friendly, it was a very hot day, but they completed the job and we are pleased with the work. We are very pleased with all the work we had done and will hire Nyboer again when needed.

After a severe wind storm that ripped off roof shingles which allowed rain into my kitchen, a friend referred me to Nyboer Builders. Jay, the owner, came to assess the situation and counseled us on different ways to tackle the issue. He also came several times to oversee and make sure things were going right once the project was in progress. In the beginning, as the demolish unfolded, they found an area that was previously done improperly and wasn't to code. Knowing it was a hazard to our family, he made sure to call in a structural engineer to fix the framing and roofing matter. He kindly worked with us since the insurance company wouldn't cover it due to it being a skylight issue where the former owner cut trusses. It was an unexpected additional $1200 and with our large family, he was willing to do a payment plan. No fault to the Nyboer Builders Company this part of the project extended the length of the project, which bumped our date to getting things done. However, Nyboer Builders returned immediately to finish the project and did a superb job. All my neighbors thought we were remodeling and came to peek in. Everyone of them (6) were impressed with the kitchen ceiling remodel and the paint job that was done. <br /> <br />Jay and his team at Nyboer Builders are dedicated, and do fine high quality work. The Hatch Family are grateful for his professionalism, skilled craftsmenship, and being willing to work with us. As a matter of fact, we our moving and needing to do some minor repairs quickly to be able to get the house on the market and Jay was able to fit us in since our deadline is a rush situation.

I set up the date with Jay Nyboer to come out on June 25th that way I could be home while the work got done. They showed up on time and I was amazed on just how fast they worked. They had all the equipment that was needed on the job and it didn't take them long to remove the old shingles and start the new. <br /> <br /> I had went out and offered water and they politely declined because they brought their own. They were nice to talk to and I got that warm feeling from them. Very honest with everything they did. I even got a full breakdown of all the supplies and the cost. They were done by late afternoon. They even cleaned up the old shingles and disposed of them by their selves. <br /> <br /> I was greatly impressed with the overall job and how they got it done in a timely manner for me. I no longer have to worry this winter of my garage leaking. They even offered a 2 year warranity with their product. <br /> <br /> I have referred them to some of my friends and family that were working for work to be done on their homes. I have them actually coming back in the late fall to replace a bathroom window with the wood trim that needs to be replaced. All the prices were reasonable and not to high. I paid $1265.75 for the roof after taxes, <br /> <br /> The window that I need replaced they were kind enough to look at while I had them here and that they said shouldn't cost me that much. I have not contacted them yet for the quote due to I am limited on funds at the moment and cannot afford it till this fall. <br /> <br /> Over all very nice people to be around and have working on your house. very respectful of someone else's privacy and property..

Nyboer builders did a great job with this project. They took a bit longer than expected to complete the project, but only a couple of weeks past the estimate and weather did play a part for some of the delay. The quality of the work was excellent. The roofing crew were all very friendly and very responsive to questions or small requests. The job supervisor was especially professional and courteous. The job was completed within one day. Additionally, there was an issue related to the initial construction that required new exterior siding. It delayed the job for an hour or so while Nyboer tried several locations for matching siding. Eventually some was located and matched the existing siding. In this case, the Jay and Dave were there to do the actual work!

It was a nightmare! They took forever to finally schedule to come. We had multiple constant problems. They dented my new $3000 fridge and said they would fix it, and never did. They used expandable foam in windows that clearly said on the sticker, not to use expandable foam, possibly voiding my warranty. They tried to charge me $1200 for 2 shower heads and a rain head, then argued with me about me wanting crap in my house. I found his estimate for the items in my house for $755, so he was trying to up-charge me. He insisted on my getting tiles at a tile place he selected which were highly overpriced, so when I suggested buying my own he said if he had known I wanted to put crap in my house he wouldn't have taken the bid. He also insisted I buy my vanity from a kitchen cabinet place, so I went and purchased it somewhere else myself. The cabinet place he recommended was strictly kitchens that you could "use" for a bathroom. They completed a horrible tile job all with tiles I purchased. The tiles were all uneven, using some spacers on their sides and some correctly. None of the tiles were even. You could stub your toe on the tiles on the floor, they were so bad. They ripped all of the tile down and started over, only to do another horrible job on the shower floor again. Now they won't replace my tiles so I can do the job myself. <br>One of their guys even pooped allover my toilet twice, and on my bathroom rug! <br>Now he's trying to overcharge me for plumbing and electric that was only roughed-in. The plumbing was installed in the wrong place, when the plumbing guy came back to fix it, he had to open the wall, exposing all of the old torn up moldy insulation that I clearly stated to 2 of them that I wanted replaced. He didn't even fix it. He walked out and left it all wrong, so now I have to pay someone to come back and fix it. <br>His way of letting me know they weren't completing the job was to be a coward and leave a note at my house with a bill! Get this! He says I still owe him money! I bought everything myself, and they never even completed the job! <br>I wish I could post pictures on this so people could see just how horrible they did. <br>Stay far away!

"We tried very diligently to work with this customer and found it impossible to please them. From the beginning of the process, it was a struggle for the directions to be followed. They were supposed to make an appointment to pick out the materials before the job started. Instead, they showed up unannounced and expected the whole store to know their project. During the project, I received calls from both my electrical and plumbing contractors that they were disrespectful and rude and using foul language. When they had opinions or changes, they decided not to go through the proper channels either and still could not understand why the work wasn't getting completed the way that they intended. This is a problem when the general contractor doesn't even know that they want changes. We fully agree the first attempt at tiling the shower was not up to standard and Nyboer Builders completely removed it without any hesitation. The homeowners were constantly criticizing workmanship that they felt they knew better than the professionals. We found that they were walking on and checking on workmanship before it had time to set up. We at Nyboer Builders, constantly strive to work with our customers, however, this particular job we decided to not complete because the homeowner couldn't work with 3 different trades. Homeowner has attached pictures of unfinished work as well as work that was removed and these pictures do not reflect the finished product in any way."

Nyboer Builders did a great job! They were very professional. Travis fixed the roof leak and replaced the rotted soffit. He did an excellent job making the new soffit match the old soffit on our 80+ year old house. Communication was great. Mandy manages the office and she was a pleasure to talk to and work with. This family owned business was a pleasure doing business with. We highly recommend them and we will definitely call them again when our old house needs the loving care of a professional roofer or contractor. Thank you Nyboer family!

I have a 116 year old Victorian that I purchased 10 years ago and have essentially rebuilt from the lawn and driveway all the way to the roof. Originally contacted for an insurance repair, Jay and his team have responded to all my very detailed and demanding needs and wants - specifically making a 116 year old home look both new and old at the same time, preserving the integrity of the home while modernizing the foundations (walls, ceilings, chimneys, etc...), and to always, always leave all repairs camouflaged into the history of the structure. The recent project required a rebuild in the foyer, including a very detailed paneled staircase and balcony that was turned into a closet roughly 40 years ago. This project requires both structural knowledge and creativity, and a lot of patience when handed a picture and being told "Make this look like that." But he delivers and allows me to work with them (which is probably really annoying) and ask a lot of questions to learn and further my own skills. Further, I am the queen of "add-ons" and while some of these are small it has also happened that one was an entire exterior wall. Jay always offers options and thoroughly discusses these options and is open and honest about his professional opinions and experiences. Of course some repairs have required reworking, although not many, and Jay did not give up until I was completely satisfied with the end-result. <br> <br>I have four more rooms to finish in this house - and I will call Nyboer builders for these rooms too. Even though Jay loves to remind me that he could have built me a brand new house for what I have invested in this one, he knows I love this house and he treats the work in that exact fashion. <br>

Jay came over with the crew and introduced them and went over everything that was going to be done. The crew got right to work. This being a 100 year old home, we had some challenging trim to work around. The guys stepped up to the plate and did an excellent job on it. They made it look like it fit right in. Each day they came to work prepared to work not having to stop and get tools or materials. We will be happy to call them for and future work we need done. We highly recommend them for anyone looking to have some work done.

Nyboer had a crew here as early as allowed by law every day. They removed the old aluminum siding, blew insulation into the exterior walls, and put vinyl siding on. They also put new seamless gutters on. The work was very good; they were even able to preserve the aluminum window casing from a prior window replacement job! The crew was very professional and friendly. I pointed out some areas where we had carpenter ants in the walls years ago and they patched those at no extra charge. The only criticism I would have is that after they were done I went around the house and picked up large glass full of nails that were left lying from the tear off. Somewhat understandable in that they were aluminum nails and could not be found with a magnet. Overall though, I would recommend Nyboer and would use them again. <br />

Nyboer Builders was highly professional. They arrived everyday when they said they would. The outside was cleaned up so my dog could run around worry free. They explained to my the products they used and why my house needed to be properly ventilated. I felt well informed and am very pleased with the job they did. <br />

When I contacted Nyboer Builders on October 21st, 2015, they agreed to come take a look at the house so that they could get an idea of what I wanted done and then give me a price estimate. Jay met me there a couple of days later and was able to give me an estimate the next day. I had a couple of other companies give me estimates as well, and Nyboer Builders was the best deal around. The following week I signed a contract to have them do the work. They had their guys there the following Monday. These guys were very courteous and were all hard workers. They made sure that their tools, equipment, and supplies were all placed in a manner that wouldn't cause damage to any of the remainder of the house and property. They were quick to start the work. The men worked from morning to dusk each day no matter the temperatures. I have never seen such professionalism displayed in all my years. The respect they had for each other and their customers is seldom displayed in today's society. At the end of the job, they made sure that everything was cleaned up and there were no stray nails remaining. My roof is beautiful. I haven't had any issues with leaks or loose shingles. I was so impressed with this company, that I am thinking about having them do a kitchen remodel for me this summer. I have also recommended them to some of my friends that have been talking about a remodel of their home. <br />
