Reading was well within temp. range for proper cooling.

<p>A neighbor called us in Pittsburgh about our heat pump compressor that was running constantly.  We sent him a key to our house.  He reset the furnace and the heat came on.  On our next visit we selected Ocean Breeze Htg and Air from Angies List to look at our system.  Charles came as agreed.  He found a capacitor that was not working, replaced it, and inspected the rest of the system.  Our heat is working fine now.  He will return in the spring to inspect the air conditioning.  Charles was pleasant and answered all our questions.  He also took a picture of the information on our heat pump so we could find some documentation on the internet.  We give Charles a gold star for his service.   </p> <br />

One zone of our two-zone HVAC system was not cooling properly.  First, we got an estimate from a different vendor who recommended replacing the entire system (interior and exterior) without even attempting to diagnose the problem.  We decided to get a second opinion and a neighbor suggested we contact Charles at Ocean Breeze.  "HONESTY & INTEGRITY" is the name of the game for this company.  Charles came to the house to investigate and first checked the interior unit to make sure there were no leaks.  Then (according to my husband - not sure I have this exactly right), Charles disconnected the lines from the interior and exterior units and pressurized them to check for punctures or other signs of leakage.  <br /> After doing a thorough examination of the possible causes for faulty cooling, Charles recommended replacing only the outdoor unit.  He took his time, examined the system thoroughly, consulted with my husband each step of the way, and replaced only what we needed.  He was in our home 2 or 3 times without us being there and could've taken advantage ... but he did not.  We were very impressed with his honesty and thoroughness, and would seek his help again in a heartbeat!  Happy to write this review!  (And thank you, Erik, for the referral!) <br /> <br />

Angie's List to the rescue again. My 4 year old HVAC system wouldn't cool and it we were staring at 4th of July at the beach....with guests! I called some other larger, recommended companies on the list and despite great word-of-mouth recommendations, I didn't even get a call back. Charles is one of the owner's of Ocean Breeze and he takes customer service VERY serviously. He called me back within an hour of my initial service and wroked around my schedule to replace a part (which he got in just 4 days over the holiday). I would highly recommend these HVAC experts!

Ocean Breeze was recommened by an aqaintance, and they have always come through. I feel safe with them in my home.
