Horrible. I met Jon Nooney who is the front man/estimator for OC Elite Construction. I am a single female senior citizen who had just purchased a small 1000 square foot house which needed a new roof, interior painting, minor electrical and handyman services. Even though his website offers credit cards and PayPal, Nooney told me that my $6,000 deposit had to be paid in cash. We signed a contract and the job was supposed to be completed in 3 weeks. I returned 500 miles to pack my ther house and begin the move when the job was completed. During this time, I sent multiple emails and texts to Nooney and he didn't respond. Phone calls were not answered. When I arrived 1 day after the completion date in the contract, Nothing had been done except the roof with No skylights, gutters or downspouts. I almost had a heart attack right there. I called Nooney again and he answered the phone. He had the nerve to ask me how I liked the house! When I told him nothing had been done, he said he would come by the house " sometime tomorrow". He also told me he dropped his phone in the ocean which was why he didn't return my calls, texts, or emails. If you look inside his truck, his computer is mounted next to the driver so he could certainly respond to emails. Then Nooney blamed the painter who Nooney had subbed out the interior work to. Then he blamed his grandmothers illness and death for forgetting my job. Plain fact is, he took my 6k, paid his father and uncle to put a new roof on house (with no skylights, gutters and downspouts), then forgot all about my house. When I asked him, in the presence of his supervisor Dave, why there were no gutters and downspouts, he said they don't use them in the area because with all the leaves, the gutters were always clogged and a pain to clean. ( Now, the neighbors are complaining to the HOA because the water from my roof is eroding the ground around their house too.). The next three weeks, I had workers straggling to my house in 1 and 2 hour increments. Because the painting supervisor didn't know about the job till 1 day after the contract completion date, he scrambled for any body to come to my house and work on the list of contract items to be completed. My movers had to be delayed 4 times because the painting of the interior of 1000 square foot home took more than two weeks instead of 4 days. The carpet installation had to be delayed to accommodate Nooney's schedule, but, finally the carpet people installed it even though painting not completed. I never knew from day to day if or when anyone would show up. Many of the workers complained that they had already worked a full day on another job before Nooney told them to come to my house. Many complained that they didn't know if they would get paid, so I paid out $1,000 to workers because I was so grateful that I had a worker and I didnt want them to go unpaid. Many of them told me that they go thru this with Nooney all the time. They told me Nooney underestimates jobs to get the work, then shorts the workers. Over this time I never once heard from Nooney. The workers who were supposed to install the new outlets and switches were not electricians, so none were installed correctly. I discovered the electrical issue when some water splashed on a GFI outlet and all the outlets stopped working and couldn't be reset. One outlet had been wired so badly, that the licensed electrician who I paid $1,200 to correct Nooney's work told me that it could have started an electrical fire. Now, I have asked Nooney for a refund up to $3,000 so that I can have proper gutters and downspouts installed because his company did not do a professional roof job, I never received any warranty paperwork on the roof. I paid $3,000 to another company to have two skylights installed that Nooney's roofers forgot. It cost more money to retro fit skylights which is why they should have been installed at the same time his father and uncle replaced the existing roof. Now with all the rain we have had, thousands of gallons of water are running off my roof each time it rains, pooling at the foundation, and streaming down my neighbors yard. When it's raining hard, no one can enter or leave the house because the force of the water coming off the roof. Not once did Nooney ever apologize for his unprofessional behavior, and putting me through this experience and he refuses to refund the money to complete the roof job and install gutters and downspouts.
