Tech arrived when he said and explained his process, and options pending his assessment. He check my refrigerant levels, double checked the system output, and then came inside to hear me out on the noises I was hearing. After he explained what it actually was, he assured me the system, though older, was running fine. The techs from the other companies were always up selling me on the immediate need to replace my ac and furnace (which is why I'd been so concerned). I felt this was the most honest conversation I have had with an HVAC professional. I will definitely call him back should I pursue some of the other tune-up options he offered.
