Michael was onsite every day explaining to me what work had been completed, what still needed to be done, and areas they were focused on. He answered all my questions daily. He consulted with me on all material choices to make sure I was happy with the look of the end product. The communication was excellent. He and his crew cleaned up at the end of each day and left the property clean which was appreciated by me and the neighbors so they could use the sidewalks while the crew wasn’t onsite. Michael and his team completed the job on time and on budget, which given the amount of work they completed was no small feat. I am absolutely thrilled with the finished product; the wall looks better than the day it was built, and Old English Construction truly restored the stone to it’s full beauty. I can’t recommend Michael and Old English Construction any higher, an honest company and team who go the extra mile to deliver on their promises. Five plus stars from me!

Mike and team were contracted to level my basement floor but what I got is far from level. Essentially all Mike and crew did was resurface my floor. I tried to contact Mike to give him a chance to fix what I paid for, but I haven’t heard back from him in weeks.

Mike and his team removed an existing porous walkway and replaced it with concrete. They did an excellent job. When it began raining after the crew left for the day they returned to refinish the concrete because the rain had changed the surface. Would recommend to my neighbors.

The team completed the demolition of multiple concrete and brick structures in the backyard and the laying of a new concrete pad in just two days and I'm satisfied with the quality of the work. Would recommend.

Excellent. I had an old cracked crumbling driveway with a backed up drain. They came quickly and removed the stone, resolved and added beautiful pavers with a 5 year guarantee. They also repaired my aging retaining wall in the front yard. Team (Michael) was very involved and very responsive and definitely a reasonable price. Would highly recommend and would hire again.

We had some concrete steps that were in very bad shape and needed to be replaced. Michael came to look at the site not long after I contacted him; then, because it was a smaller job, his team fit us into their schedule within a week. They turned up in the morning and by the end of the day the old steps were destroyed and the new steps had been framed, poured, reinforced, and set - we were walking on them the next day. Between that, the reasonable price, and the 5-year guarantee, I was very happy with the service and would definitely hire them again.

Mike and Old English Construction did a great job repairing, resetting, and cleaning the flagstones in our backyard patio. They look great, and are no longer a tripping hazard for myself and my family. Additionally, they replaced ½ our driveway, which was badly cracked and needed to be repaired and regraded. Mike really went the extra mile to make sure that part of the project met our goals.

Old English Construction, which I contracted to replace the retaining wall at my property, did a great job. I would hire them again. I had concerns about blending the new retaining wall with the existing adjacent walkway. Michael, the project manager, listened to my concerns and addressed the concerns to ensure a good blend between the new retaining wall and the adjacent walkway. Michael ensured that I had proper drainage (weep holes) in the new wall. Michael worked with me to ensure the design of the new retaining wall was right for my purpose and was appealing. Old English Construction provided rebar and reinforcement of the wall to make the wall sturdy and lasting. Additionally, Old English Construction gave me, I feel, a great warranty of their work. From the start of working with Old English Construction they were responsive to proposing and installing my retaining wall at a great price and within our agreed upon schedule. I have received compliments that my retaining wall is nicely built. I rate Old English Construction 4.7 out of 5.

The Old English crew did an excellent job repairing our stairs! They fixed our cracking concrete, stabilized our iron-bannister and covered our steps in granite-grip. The stairs look flawless now. They held themselves to a high standard and went above our expectations with the concrete repair and painting job. I highly recommend Old English.

Mike and his crew installed drainage pipe to take care of the drainage problems front and back. In addition, the house had settled and water was creating a moat around the back of the house on the old concrete (not good for the foundation) when it rained hard. He then had the old concrete walkway removed and had installed a beautiful new walkway in pavers. It was a pleasure to work with Mike and his master crew!

After getting several bids from various contractors I decided to go with Old English Construction. Michael was great to work with and the end product is very nice. The project involved the removal of an old concrete retaining wall that was falling over due to improper construction and replacing it with a cinder block wall with brick facing. All of the work was performed within the estimated timeframe. The finished product looks wonderful and did wonders to increase the curb appeal of the house. I would definitely recommend Old English Construction for your next project.

The Old English crew just completed a major repair to my front walkway, the repair and resurfacing of my front steps and porch floor, the restoration of the original porch railing and installation of new stair railings. They were highly professional, hardworking, thorough and responsive to my specific requests. They did a great clean up at the end and restored my porch furniture and plants just as I wished. It was a pleasure to work with this company from start to finish. I highly recommend them as honest and talented craftsmen with excellent manners and lots of good cheer.

Patrick and Michael O'connor ensured the work was done to a very high quality, our steps have never been in better condition. All repairs were made to the concrete, and the steps were finished with a very attractive non-slip product. I can't believe we didn't do this earlier, but make sure you hire a company that knows exactly how to do this the right way, this is not a diy or jack of all trades work if you want it to last more than a season (been there done that). EXCELLENT: It began with a simple card in my door… Old English Construction placed their ad card in my door and usually I toss these cares, but this time I thought let me give this company a call to discuss the job and get a quote. Well all uphill from there, they promptly called me back, came over to evaluate the space and quoted me a price I could comfortably afford. The next day they were at my home by 8:00 AM with their crew and 4 days later, I have the front porch I envisioned. They were professional, kept me informed on all aspects and the job, answered my questions without hesitation and delivered what they promised.

It went very well and they did a great job.
