Olshan Foundation Repair

Do not get fooled by the ?professional? sales people at Olshan. They will lie and tell you whatever you want to hear to get your commitment, but they have ZERO follow through on their commitments. We spent over $25k with them and had to call over and over again to get a response after the job was ?finished?. When we finally got ahold of our contact and asked him about the commitment they made he said ?I cannot remember all the things I say all day?. He never owned up to what he said they would do and everything he said before the job was started was in front of me and my husband. We both recall the conversation clearly, but the Olshan guys essentially called liars. We?ve also had a small drain top break that they installed and we need it replaced, which we would pay for, but again, we cannot get anyone to follow up. Worst company I?ve EVER worked with.

04-02-2025: Olshan was very expert from the beginning to completion. Including initial evaluation, navigating choices, quoting, scheduling, implementation, post measurement & cleanup. Tunneling is chosen over concrete break out in the living spaces: this choice worked out well with these considerations: no upset / moving (or move out), no storage rental, customer time & labor needed. For this 1977 3-2-2, discovery is made in both the sewer & water lines: the 50 YO cast iron pipes failed a pressure test & tunneling reveals pinholes in the hot & cold water lines. Partnered w/ Olshan was KMP Plumbing, all of which were successful in leveling the foundation, replacing sewer & water lines. An Extra Special notice & thanks to Olshan's Derek Long & team lead Hernandez. Also noticed & very much appreciated for their diligence & second efforts by Rogel, Misael, Juan, Alvaro, Nelson, Eduardo & Jose.

Olshan destroyed my house! The unsupervised crew of 5 Guatemalan guys, using their own guesswork, lifted the house the wrong way and beyond reasonable limits causing the destruction of bathrooms, collapse of walls, and the caving of second floor floors - see photos. Olshan is UNINSURED and theOlshan Contractors are uninsured as well. Think of that... I discovered the the result the hard way. The house on one occasion felt as if it was dropped causing bathtubs to move, walls to separate from ceilings, shower enclosure, vanities and cabinets to get dislodged from brackets and walls, walls to collapse, and floors to cave in. Olshan Enginnering charges are FRAUD! Olshan charged $650 for engineering - that is a complete fraud. No one single licensed engineer, nor any person with any engineering education was present at site, nor had designed a plan of work for the uneducated crew sent by Olshan to handle houses worth hundred of thousands and millions of dollars. Trusting Olshan on a house is nothing short of playing Russian Roulet. The 5 persons cGuatemalan crew were instructed to finish the 10-pilings job 6 hours, they started 8:30 and rushed to jack up the house bu 2 pm. Each was performing on his own guesswork without coordination, without engineering supervision, and without looking inside the house to see the ehhects of their work. The $10k Olshan job resulted in an initial repair cost in excess of $23,000 so far, and not including the structural or plumbing repairs. The endless number of lawsuits against Olshan and the DeShazers - the owners of the company was clearly filed for good reasons. Olshan's lack of ethics, greed, negligence, and the evil indifference and disregard of homeowners' life is beyond description. Befor Olshan my house had two (2) cracks on the garage wall inside the house. Olshan, work caused the creation of 39 crack inside the house and almost the collapse of a brick wall outside in which endless cracks developped. In summary; I paid Olshan $10,000 to destroy my house. That is my own experience as the photos shows

$9000 down the drain! We got in touch with olshan last year after we had rainwater flood our home. They showed up and seemed to have a solid solution to the problem. A drainage system with a pump was installed, even their employees (mid installation) doubted the size and the ability of the system. We expressed our concern to the survey man, and he ASSURED US that it would function and be able to handle any rain or standing water we would have. Fast forward later that year and it did not, I had to be out in the rain with a backup pump and unclogging drain inserts to keep the water out of my home. We got in touch with them and they told me they would be unable to help us without installing another pump and charging me more money. We came to an agreement and they made a backup option for the water to flow. 2 weeks ago I was out in the hail fighting the water because we came to the same issue. They're crew lead came and said they would do a swell and make this situation right for us. He also agreed that the system was not sufficient in the first place. So he called me this morning and said that they would not have a solution for me without more money on my part, and that the system should in fact be plenty to manage my water but the debris on my property is preventing the drains from working properly, and that it is on me to prevent mud and tree droppings from clogging the system during. Fun fact I clean and service this system before every storm. So I spent roughly $9000 for a system that does not do the job and I am still expected to be out in the storm to babysit the issue. This is unacceptable and I hope this aids them in realizing it, and whoever happens to be reading be aware.

Everything went quite well! Initial inspection and estimate were quite thorough and professional. The servicing crew were very good! Seems they had worked together as a team for awhile now. Work seemed to go smoothly with minimal disruption to our home and routine. Placed a total of 11 Pilings. Clean up was very good! Was difficult to see that they were even there and that included the removal and replacement of several large shrubs in the front portion of our home. Found their pricing to be very competitive and their recommendations for repairs were minimal compared to others we had provide estimates to us. Follow up plumbing inspection for any leaks or issues found nothing...all was good which was quite pleasant to hear! We would definitely hire them again!!

Olshan was the most professional, thorough, responsive, prompt, respectful, honest, efficient, and hard working contractor I've ever dealt with!! Specifically Robert, Armando, and Pedro! They were detailed, professional, and actually listened to my questions, answered them honestly, and demonstrated actions that matched their words! The finished project is amazing. Their teams respected our home and property, cleaned up every evening, and we couldn't be happier! Thanks Olshan! I'd recommend them to anyone!!

(A) Very informative with initial meeting. Decided to go with Olshans, due to knowledge of Sales Rep, warranty provided, and overall cost. Very easy to work with, and answered all my questions/concerns. The crew that was sent out, showed up on time, respected my property, and exceeded my expectation, which is hard to find these days. The foreman on the job also answered any questions I had, and explained what was taking place while he was working. At no point did he seem frustrated or taken out by my questions. Olshans comes highly recommended.
