The work started out okay and this was the second job Omni did for me. The first went okay, but took much longer than promised. Josh asked me to stop by the house to pay him as work was done and I did so. Every time I showed up he had a crew there and they were working away, but things were going slow. Then my accounting person accidentally paid Josh twice and things fell apart fast. After he was paid extra he promised not to cash the check, but did anyway. Work on the house virtually stopped and i had to text him about tent times before he would respond weeks later. Every time I went to the house no one was there.
Eventually I had to threaten to sue him to get any work done and the job that was started January of 2015 was just completed December of 2015. The work he did was shotty and I had to have another contractor come in to fix multiple items. The flooring was not laid right, cabinets not installed right and he tried to use old and used fixtures and appliances when they bid called for new items. Josh claimed he had problems with his partner and blamed everyone else for the delay. The truth is he lied to me multiple times and strung me along for months, which was my fault (I should have cut ties much sooner). Every week he claimed it was just two more weeks and it would be done which went on for months. When I asked why he wasn't working at my house he wouldn't respond or claimed he had to do other jobs to make money to pay for supplies on my job. This was a horrible experience and I have flipped over 100 houses. This was by far the worst contractor I have ever used.

The provider gave me a bid for a huge remodel in Frederick Colorado. Josh knew it was a big job and assured me his crew could have it done in 2.5 months. It included new kitchen, paint ext and int, new baths, electrical, flooring, some siding work, windows, heating and finishes.

Our company signed a contract with Omni Services on 8 June 2015. Services to be provided were drywall installation, drywall tape/texture, and interior painting. For these services, we were charges approximately $17,700. There were two MAJOR issues with Omni Services: quality of work, and timeliness of contract execution.
Timeliness of Contract Execution
The contract with Omni Services was signed on 8 June 2015 for drywall installation, drywall tape/texture, and interior wall and ceiling painting. The contract stipulated an end date of June. Omni completed their work in mid-October. That means it took Omni Services approximately 4 MONTHS to complete the work. One result of this delay was our company lost subcontractors to other jobs because they could not get into the house to complete their work. The property was supposed to be finished by mid-November. Because of Omni Services inability to complete the work within the contractual time frame, we are now forced to wait to market the property until early Spring.
Quality of Work
Our first indication of problems came quickly. When the drywall was initially delivered, it was very apparent Josh has severely underestimated the sheets of drywall necessary for the work. Additionally, Omni had terrible problems deploying skilled labor to the project. New personal, who had not been seen before, would show up at the job site. Frequently, Omni would agree to be at the job site. Our company GC wasted significant amounts of time waiting at the property and no one from Omni would show. Then Josh (partner at Omni) would show up on weekend to do what he could to make up for the lack of labor. We were told by one of his workers that Omni frequently lost personnel to other companies because Omni's wage rate was below market. The result was when Omni could sometimes get labor to the job site, but they were not very skilled.
The result of marginal labor was an extremely substandard job of drywall tape and texture. Since Omni finished the work, TWICE I have been asked by other subcontractors if I sprayed the texture. What? I paid $17,700 to a company whose texture job looked like an amateur had sprayed it? Areas of the wall had multiple layers sprayed and some walls had only a smattering of texture.
My biggest gripe was that Josh had to have seen this shoddy texture work and could have corrected it before painting, as he performed the painting work. But, he said nothing, painted the walls, and now we are stuck with a property whose drywall texture looks cheap and amateurish.
Omni's work on the drywall installation was acceptable, despite the fact that several wall outlets were covered and which forced the GC to invest time to find and uncover the outlets before electrical work could be completed. Omni's painting work was also acceptable. However, I do not care how good a person's drywall installation and paint was, if the texture is substandard, everything looks bad.
I am very afraid that this appalling poor texture job will need to be redone before putting the property on the market. This could potentially cost our company thousands.
Due to the poor workmanship, our company kept the contract retainer and told Omni/Josh by certified mail why we were keeping it. I delayed posting this review because I thought Josh/Omni would offer to repair the most egregious texture issues. But, I never heard from them, so I am now posting this negative review.
If you are looking for a company to install and texture drywall, I strongly suggest you looks elsewhere and avoid Omni. I know the company does other construction work and I cannot comment of the quality of that work. However, if Omni cannot get and retain skilled help, that factor could potentially affect the quality of the company's other work.
Bottom line: Find another company to do your work. There are many very good drywall companies in Northern Colorado.
I have pictures and video of Omni's work if there is ever any dispute.
Response from Omni Services
"In any situation Omni Services does not take money for the sole purpose of not getting the job completed. In these instances where we are busy and for my Angie's list customers that have not gotten their job done can simply request a refund and it will be granted. When we ran the deal for a contractor for six ours we where not expecting to sell as many as we did. There are no excuses for dropping the ball and for that we apologize. In the event some emails are not responded to the customer has the option to call and confirm their request for a faster response. We deeply regret the inconvenience made for any customer that feels they have been put on the back burner as we are extremely busy with in progress jobs. We are working on getting caught up as quickly as possible to service the customers that have already purchased a deal via Angie's list."

Jesse was polite, friendly and punctual. The room he painted had been a very bold color. If he'd used a primer the overall results would have been much better.
Josh and Omni Services did a great job refreshing the exterior of my home. the bulk of the project took just over 3 days to complete. Josh and his team did quality work and in my conversations with Josh, it is obvious that he cares about the quality of work he puts out. He was also able to make some last minute adjustments to the project a few days before starting when I decided late to also replace the garage door.
He arrived on time, and was very professional. The vaulted bathroom ceiling is a difficult area to paint because of all the typical BR fixtures, as well as some very delicate and expensive tile on the floor, counter top, and shower stall. Nothing was damaged or needed to be cleaned up by either Omni or ourselves.
Without question, we'll use his services again, and I highly recommend Omni.
This process has been going on for 7 months. I purchased the deal for my aunt's home. He tried to put floor tile on the wall. It fell down because it was not designed to be on the wall. Then he couldn't find a cabinet to fit the area it was needed. I found a cabinet and asked him to come pick it up. He said that that was too far for him to travel and so I had to bring it to him. The cabinet, he puts in it, and the plumbing is in the way. All he had to do was put in some new elbows and get the plumbing out of the way. No, they cut the drawer off and glued the front part (the face) of the drawer back on to the cabinet. There is a leak in that plumbing that he is fixing, but it's leaking a lot. My aunt had put a basket in the cabinet and he tried to say that he had forced the basket in there so hard that it broke the plumbing. She is not physically capable of putting anything in the So now she can't even use that drawer anymore. He put new linoleum down, but he had a helper. The helper didn't even cut the linoleum flush to the wall. He cut it like he chewed it off. Then they had to use this big crown molding around the base. He had to use this big, gigantic 1/4 round along the edges to hide the crappy job. It just seems to be going on and on and on. He was trying to charge us for additional hours when he had to come back to fix issues that he created by not doing everything correctly the first part. I had to go up there and babysit him one day. They just did not want to do anything the right way. He was incredibly unreliable. He would tell me one time that he was going to be there the next day, he would tell my aunt another time and then say that he didn't tell me that original time.

Josh did a wonderful, meticulous job. When running late with previous job, he immediately notified me and kept me updated as to the time frame. In addition, I had requested a last minute change to a specific painting technique on one wall that was considerably more challenging than my initial request and he agreed to the task, happily. Excellent workmanship and expertise. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend Omni Services for home renovation projects. A+
At least one of the two workers arrived at 8:00 am unfit to work. The job that should have taken 2 hours took 5 hours, and the workmanship was very poor and incomplete. I had to call them back in before they left because they completely missed a whole section of sheet rock. Tough to not see the big hole in the wall in a 15 x 10 ft room. Even though I was unsatisfied with the work I paid them and let them go because I just wanted them out of my house. I could have done the work myself in less time and much better quality.
