Technician arrived and without touching or analyzing the problem, he decided that I needed a new valve of some sort. Quoting 500+ and the other small job was with running water in the bathroom $200+. Neither problem has been resolved. Water pressure still low and bathroom continues to make a running sound. One might ask why would I allow this to happen without getting a second opinion. I ask myself that over and over. My husband had passed away two weeks or so prior and I just wanted the job to get done. I trusted One Call. My call to have them come back to take a second look have gone unanswered.

Please do NOT use this company. They are unprofessional and only bait and switch. I ordered a main line cleaning with camera inspection, as my main line was clogged up a bit, so water was running slowly. The guy who showed up, was very unprofessional and already started to argue with me, about things "He is NOT going to do", before starting anything. He didn't even start the job and already tried to up-sell a professional jet cleaning ( only $800 ). Certainly he did a terrible job, left after 15 min with my money. I called them back the next day, complaining the job not being done correctly and they told me they come back the next day. Nobody showed up! multiple calls and always the response "somebody is calling me back". They never did !!!! Stay away from this company !!!! Just reached somebody from this company and after the question, when somebody will come out to finish the job, hey just told me NOBODY is coming back, use another company ...

Worst professionalism, customer service, punctuality, pricing, and concern for customers I have seen in a while. Go somewhere else!!! Avoid these guys!!!! Will never give them business again!! Positive note the tech was amazing Negative note: the office is extremely unprofessional the management is unapologetic and only want your money have no concern for you! I have a newborn and a hefty schedule, scheduled my appointment for 10am after arranging things to accommodate my sink replacement even set aside 2 additional hours for potential late arrival time for the tech. 11am comes, no call, no show from my tech. Call the office only to find out I was rescheduled to 2 pm without notice, email, phone call or even an apology. Office researches and admits they screwed up and were “making me a priority”. Tech shows up at 430pm. Water had to be shut off for 4 hours with a newborn in a pandemic! Management nor anyone else even attempted to call between 11am-430pm after having no concern for my day. I had to call them each time to find out when the tech would be onsite to which I was told 2pm then 330 then when I called at 340pm I was told he would be there at 4pm and at 430pm when he showed up the 10% discount I was given for inconvenience was not enough. No apology for management, no “hey we really don’t treat our customers this way”. No proactive call to make it right. The leadership left me and the tech in a tough situation. I honestly feel bad for the tech he had to do a 4 hour job at the end of the day. With an inconvenienced customer, I didn’t take my frustration out on him, he didn’t deserve that.

Additionally, we also are always honest with our customers when changes have to be made and we certainly understand your frustration with your appointment change. We always want our customers to voice their concerns so we can make changes that will ensure future issues such as you encountered do not repeat themselves. We do however, respectfully disagree that our management team was not apologetic for the internal scheduling mistake that initiated this event. As we are sure you will recall, both managers did several times apologize for the mistake that was made, most notably by the person who made the mistake. We do record all of our customer service calls for training opportunities to work on how we can establish more efficient calls and we did so on your situation as well. As it was stated on the call with the person who told you of his error with the appointment change. We also were not aware of you having a newborn at home and should there have been an emergency of any kind that your sink installation was creating you can be certain that you appointment never would have been moved from its original time. As an essential business taking care of emergencies as they arise, these type of calls will always cause smaller installation jobs to be re-scheduled within reason. Finally, as you surely know, we did give you a 20% discount off of the original cost to help with this issue, not 10% as you stated. Since our company does free estimates, if the pricing was not what you considered to be fair, you had the option to refuse the estimate and our technician would have ended the service call at that point at no cost to you. One Call Plumbing does want to thank-you for the recognition of the work done by our technician during this difficult situation that you have addressed. We have noticed some serious issues in our recordings where you have been completely rude."

They only provided a day window instead of a time window so they had to wait all day without knowing. The price was overcharged for such a small project. Then we had to sign a receipt twice but when I called the company to get an itemized statement, it stated that they had purchased and installed the strainer despite using the strainer that we had already purchased from Lowes.

My experience with One Call Plumbing left me unhappy. I had a tankless electric water heater (Seisco) that had died, and I wanted to replace it with another one (EcoSmart), which I had already purchased. The basic infrastructure for installing it was already present, but because the two systems are not identical, I knew I needed a professional to come retrofit in the new heater. I called One Call Plumbing because their website suggested that they have expertise in handling both the electrical and plumbing issues needed to hook it up. The technician who came out (Jacob) was a nice guy, but he told me only after he had started working on the project that 1) he was not able to do the electrical work needed, 2) no one at One Call Plumbing would be able to do it, and 3) they did not have an electrician subcontractor that they worked with. Basically, I was on my own for the electrical hook-up part. Jacob did do a good job connecting the plumbing to the new heater, but I was amazed at how much One Call Plumbing charged versus what they actually did. He was there around 2 hours 20 minutes, and in that time he took the old Seisco off the wall, put the new EcoSmart on the wall, and reconfigured around 4 feet of pex tubing to hook it up. For that One Call Plumbing initially charged me a little less than $1200, or over $500 per hour. I called and talked them down to $800, an improvement to be sure (and I appreciate their willingness to do that), but still close to $350 an hour for some light labor and a few parts. (Remember, I already had the new EcoSmart at hand.) Now I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for reasonable work, but the fact that they wanted to charge this much for an incomplete job left me dissatisfied with their work.

Prompt and courteous. Knowledgeable. Didn't try to sell something not needed. Would have liked knowing thrre was a trip charge up front. Was told on phone free estimates were given. Was not told I would be charged 95.00 for the visit. Partly my fault for not asking. Ended up having some caulking done to justify paying it.

One Call Plumbing was able to come out quickly to complete this job at our home which we were temporarily away from and were renting out. The communication before the job was good. The communication during and after the job was not nearly as good. The technician we spoke with on the phone could not explain the situation and job being done well and could not explain the pricing of the job at all. He said we would receive an invoice explaining the pricing. We had to follow up several weeks later when no invoice had arrived. We then received an invoice but the pricing was still not broken out by parts and labor or otherwise explained well. They assign a total cost to the job, the calculation of which is completely opaque to the customer. The pricing we received seems fairly high compared to published estimates for this job. We understand the parts are not expensive and we know One Call Plumbing was on site for a short time. In summary, we were not fully comfortable with the communication and pricing associated with the work and we would be hesitant to use them again.

One Call Plumbing responded quickly to our inquiry, arrived at the appointment on time and provided a reasonable estimate of the work. Work was completed timely and to our satisfaction. They saved us money by repairing, rather than replacing, the toilet even though a previous plumber had told us it was beyond repair. All around a good experience.

Great! One Call was able to get Jacob to my house in less than three hours. (Keep in mind that Chapel Hill had just been hit with flooding conditions earlier in the morning.) He diagnosed the problem and was able to get my sump pump working again. He also checked the pipelines to make sure water was running freely, and he gave me some tips to help prevent the pump from getting clogged in the future. This is the third time this year we've needed plumbing work at our house (different issues each time). One Call has done the work each time. We're very pleased.

there were things happening after they left than was before. like,the faucet was not spurting water when you pressed on it nor had there been a problem with the knob on the bottom of the toilet being broken off

Crystal answered my call quickly and scheduled service for the next day. Alex arrived early after calling to make sure it was okay. He diagnosed that our main drain pipe was clogged after a few checking. He quoted a price ($560) for using pressure cleaning to blast out the clog. It took a couple of hours, while he pulled out a lot of paper and stuff that had backed up the drain. He cleaned up completely. Very efficient and professional. I'd definitely use One Call Plumbing again, and ask for Alex.

Loren and two of his technicians came out on a Saturday afternoon-evening and replaced the pump--six hours in the FREEZING RAIN! It was incredible service. Loren, who is a very pleasant young man, explained everything to me and kept me informed of their progress. I'll use them from now on for any plumbing needs. I got One Stop Plumbing through HOCOA, which only accepts about 20% of the service providers who apply to be listed with them. If you don't know about HOCOA, check them out. For annual fee of $50, they put you in contact with excellent folks--I always use them now.

They arrived on time, were professional and completed the jobs to our satisfaction. Although we called service for just our kitchen drain we added two more unrelated drainage issues when they were here. They added the additional jobs to the order and successfully completed them. We will use them again.

Work took around two hours and required about $15 in parts. Bill was $846 which was reduced to $755 with my Angielist coupon. This seems completely out of line with the time and complexity required for the job.
