I found this company through Angi's list and figured they were good based off the reviews.. Trevor (who was nice and very professional) came on October 4th, 2022 to look at my 2 car garage. Now mind you, the garage is 24x32 and has NO drywall or ceilings.. The previous lights/wire I already took down.. Also the gagrage has its own breaker box/panel in it.. I literally just needed new wire run for 12 recessed lights and 2 ceiling fans.. I was quoted almost $5,000 which made my jaw hit the floor! I told him absolutely not! He said he could re-work the numbers and we came to a price of a little over $2,100.. A big drop which I should have asked then, what is included? But I didnt ask, and he didnt explain anything, just got to work.. 2 hours later he says, "All done".. I walk in the garage and wires are hanging everywhere (pictures included).. Nothing is connected.. No connection to the light switches either.. Just wires hanging.. The only thing he did was connect 3 wires to the breaker box and drape wires across the open/exposed beams in the ceiling.. I have to now go and figure out how to hook up all my light switches and all my lights.. He also made think that I would be having ceiling fan braces installed.. He even showed them to me.. But nope! They were not hung or included either.. Now I have to go buy those! I priced the wire and its is around $120/roll.. So I just paid a company $2,100+ for a job I could have done for $240 myself.. I was beyond taken advantage of and the more I think about it the more irate I get!!!.. Mr. Sparky will NEVER get another penny nor will they ever get a recommendation from me! Look elsewhere!

I called them for low freon, not knowing anything about hvac units, the tech arrived, told me it was probably an indoor coil, tells me it costs 2500...checked the coil and said it was ok. He never mentioned that there was an outdoor coil that could also leak, nor did he check it. Went outside for a few minutes, told me the schrader valve was leaking, gave me pricing for freon and said he would fix and fill her up, but he couldn't guarantee that the valve was the only leak. I assumed the tech had done his job and checked all of the usual suspects for a leak, like the outdoor coil. The tech never did a complete inspection of my unit, charged me $600 for freon that lasted 1 day, the unit was no longer working the next day. This company wanted another $1500, to find out where the leak was, on a 16 year old unit, after they had already ripped me off for $600!! Since then, I have received quotes ranging from $100-$500 (including refilling the freon) for finding a leak....This company's home office "stands behind" their tech and will not refund my money! I was taken advantage of....buyer beware!!!

It was fine. I had to pay additional cost. There was some confusion about this. I'd purchased it to have a particular problem addressed but I couldn't get a refund. I had them come out for what they thought the coupon was for. They didn't end up cleaning or doing any of the stuff we thought the coupon included. It was supposed to be a tune up of the H/Vac unit but I don't really know what their services entailed. I was under the impression that the coupon that we purchased was for a complete tuneup and that's not really what it was. They didn't clean the unit, they couldn't clean the coils which is was really what needed to be done. They gave me a long list of things that needed to be done in the unit, that I should call back and have done at a later time. They were there on time. They misinterpreted the coupon. This was the first time I used them. They were friendly.

An exceptionally smooth, easy and productive experience. Joe arrived exactly on time and I like the prior notification call from him about 30 minutes ahead of his arrival. It only took a short 20 minutes for Joe to fully inspect the entire inside and outside units, with a determination there were no problems with the unit. He fully explained the "noise" I was hearing was normal, relieving all of my concerns. <br /> I would also like to point out, Chris Senior and Chris Junior know the secret to running a very successful business.  That is to hire the best people they can find and Joe is an outstanding example of their philosophy.  Joe is welcome in my home at any time.  He has skills and talents which cannot be taught, but are part of his innate personality.  He sets and maintains exceptionally high standards of professionalism in his work ethic, personal interaction, evaluation, solving and easily explaining what he has discovered with options to better or correct the situation.  <br /> Joe and other members of the OneHour Team are examples of locating and selecting the best, thus receiving the best results.  Personally, I am a strong advocate of bringing on veterans and those who have already proved themselves, while teachable to the new ideas, company processes and techniques.  <br /> I congratulate Chris Sr., Chris Jr, and especially Joe for their longtime outstanding service to me as a person and respected client.  Only one of the several reasons I?ve been a client of OneHour since 2000.  Keep up the good work! I had them come out, give me a price and they gave me there long splerb on how well this new unit will be. <br /> Well it was installed and within 2 days <br /> the motor burned out, they came and replaced it, when they went under the house <br /> they turned off the pump switch to my well, came back to turn that back on, had <br /> to return the next month to replace the thermostat, the one they put in was <br /> bad, had to come back Christmas eve as the circuit panel had shorted, they ?hot <br /> wired? it but by the evening it had went out, took 2 days to have that <br /> replaced. Got my electric bill this month and it TRIPLED, it has increased every month since they <br /> installed it, They were to come on Sat between 10 - 12, got an email confirmation, 12:20pm I called, they had mixed <br /> up the times and they would be there between 2 -3pm, at 3:15 they arrived, so <br /> much for there "on time guarantee " they came by and said there was a "flap" that was to be <br /> opening and closing and it hasn't worked since installed I told them that I needed to <br /> speak to a manager on all of these problems, they said he would call me right <br /> back, I called again on Tuesday, he would call me right back, I called again on <br /> Wed. he will call me right back, finally around noon someone who said he was <br /> the manager called, I tried to tell him the what's going on, he said he was <br /> trying to get a handle on things and would call me in a couple of days? I said <br /> OK, you'll call me on Friday then, " Oh I'm not sure, maybe next <br /> week" I said OK Monday? he said It will be one day next week, They are just like the rest, no. I have filed <br /> a complaint with BBB and have contacted an attorney, these guys are like the other flim-flam companies, just out to <br /> charge you for everything, make lots of promises and not follow though. I would <br /> NEVER recommend this company for anything, they charged more than any company <br /> out there, I used them as I wanted someone I could depend on, not the case. <br /> STAY AWAY !!!! <br /> <br /> <br />

I am extremely unhappy. They had to tape all the vents shut in order to test the system and apparently he used the wrong kind of tape because he pulled off a bunch of the ceiling from my bathroom. They told me that they would send somebody back and I have called them and left message three times, and I have sent two emails, and I can get no one to respond. I even called the headquarters of the company. I can’t say enough how unhappy I am. We had them come in to check it, since they have to check it twice a year, and I told them that we didn’t have any air or heat in a couple of the bedrooms and totally any downstairs. The fellow went up in the attic and checked it and said that there was one duct that looked squashed down and no air can get through it. I don’t know who did it but I think it happened when they were installing it. It was right where the decking stops where we have planks to walk on. We have a crack in the ceiling and it looks as though someone had stepped on it from above. I sent pictures of it to them and I still haven’t got any response. They are completely ignoring me. It is a big investment and that is why I am upset. I am sure it is going to cost me several hundred dollars to re-plaster the ceiling in the kitchen and in the bathroom around the vent and the vent in the kitchen too. I would never use them again.

I have purchased the top-of-the-line York heat pump system, high intensity filtration ultra violet light, electrostatic air filter and completely removed and installed all of the duct work within the house. I have also taken advantage of their contract program providing many benefits to the home owner not found elsewhere. Their pricing is very fair creating an outstanding value to the customer. All of this work was the result of their many complete evaluations of our home, recommendations with the added benefit of allowing us time to make the choice to correct the problem or wait for a better situation financially. <strong><em>One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning</em></strong> is very unique in determining a problem situation, offering several options including their recommendation, allowing the customer to make the final choice. In our case everything they discovered, options recommended all came to pass involving no pushy sales attitude or environment. <br /> We've also taken advantage of there electrical services as that is a major benefit of having a service contract. <p>I have a one year old Goodman heat pump with a full 10 year parts and labor warranty. When my primary guy could not make it out for a service call I tried "One Hour Heating and Air". I was shocked they charged me $129 for the service call and the another $95 to pick up the parts needed but I was in a tight spot. </p> <p>They completed the very invasive replace of a reverse value that took several hours to complete. A few days later I heard a strange noise from the outside unit and checked the thermostat. Although it was right on temp, it was running in emergency heat mode. I called them out and Tech #1 said it was another bad reverse valve. For some reason they sent a second Tech out and this guy said it was actual a blocked orifice and some trash got in the line and blocked. Then he told me that was not covered under my full manufacturer's parts and labor warranty and it would be several hundred to fix out of my pocket ($400, $500 or more). He said he could not conclude the trash got in the line by their repair. He also that the unit was running fine for many days and that they did not touch that orifice in the repair. I explained, the unit most likely switched to emergency heat one minute after you left, that in a closed system you ARE very likely to have gotten something in the system and you most definitely DID touch that orifice but pumping new gas and pressure testing for hours. </p> <p>The tech called the manager who refused to talk to me on the phone. I over heard him say it was my right to sue them if I wanted but no money, no heat/repair. Keep in mind it was snowing at the time with a ice storm on the way and 22 degrees out.</p> <p>I told him no thank you and he should leave.  I sent the kids to their Mom's for the night and called another repair guy. I have options, but other people with less technical knowledge would not. I understand buyer beware when it coming to repairs like roofs, tree cutting, etc. But when you are talking about heat in the Winter, this is different. The second guy could have completed the cleaning and I may have paid his cost for any materials. He actually spent 2 hours here testing.These people worst than ripoff artists, they are bad business people.  Never use these people. Good new for Angie's list it is service people like this that got me to check with Angie's list first.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Updated: 3/1/15 - Manufacturer's Rep just left after inspecting the system. The work One Hour did on the system was sub-standard and well outside the manufacturer's requirement for repairing the unit. Three different techs looked at this system within 2 days, so this is not a one-off issue/had one bad day kind of thing. Either the company is just out to rip you off or they are all not qualified to work on your HVAC systems. </p>

First called them out for the A/C not <br /> working at all. After a big storm, just stopped working. Nothing. Sometimes <br /> with surges, we just flip the breaker, reset it and it works. This time it didn?t. <br /> They came out, were very nice but charged us 1000 for a new board and <br /> capacitor.(this was just replace last year under warranty) and I though, it was <br /> really high for what I was getting. He was done in 20 minutes. But, I was <br /> getting ready for surgery and just agreed to it. I couldn?t seem to get answer <br /> other than it was 7 years old why I was replacing this stuff again from last <br /> summer. I was wondering if there was an electrical surge or something that <br /> could do that. No answers. <br /> A few weeks later dies again. They came <br /> out and said it was the capacitor again. They did fix it for free. Both times <br /> really pressuring us to sign up for a month plan and we would get discounts on <br /> service. Felt very pressured. On the second visit, when the put it back <br /> together, the fan was clanging. The guy said it was an old unit and that it <br /> sounded that way. My neighbor came over and complained two nights later. Well, <br /> the fan motor blew out not long after. I called them and they said they need an <br /> extra couple hundred since this wasn?t related or I could join their club and <br /> get a discount. I feel it hard to believe three things blew in 2 months. On the <br /> flip side, the guys were nice, timely and professional. However, sales approach <br /> to replace or join their club was annoying. Probably won?t use them again. <br /> All of this happened within two months. <br /> Now, I may have the worst luck on my unit (it is a 7 year old York) but I have <br /> a model right next to it and it hasn?t broken down at all other than needing <br /> some Freon. <br /> <br /> <br />
