On Point Tree Service

Please be warned .. Pros: insured & competitive cost Cons: not punctual, terrible communication, unprofessional, disrespectful & takes no accountability. We submitted an inquiry for one oak tree to be removed and the other oak tree in my back yard to be trimmed. They sent an approval for one of the cheapest quotes I had received and I approved (without talking to anyone in person of my vision) and they showed up, all within 24 hours. I made it very clear in THREE separate emails (to the owner) that I didn’t want anyone to touch my tree that needed trimmed until I could show someone what I envisioned, since I had yet to show anyone; I had seen pictures of their work and I wanted a different look with less taken off than their normal work that’s been done- I had a specific vision I wanted to see carried through. They showed up an hour early while I was in the middle of an appointment that I couldn’t get out of that the owner had known about; we had talked that morning about a timeline as well. This was fine, I previously mentioned via email that the tree being taken down could be done without my presence, if needed. It all took a turn for the worst when I started watching them hack off huge limbs of my other tree before I arrived home. Through panic & disbelief, I called everyone I could to try to get them to stop. It took someone having to drive over there to get them to stop and wait for me. Long story short, I showed up and my tree had been butchered (in my eyes- which is pretty important, if you ask me). I immediately called the owner and he had known and showed zero sympathy and blamed the workers entirely. He took zero accountability, didn’t even think to reach out to me to begin with and failed to apologize; he outright could care less. This made me more upset than I already was. I told the owner I wanted a discount or replacement of my tree. He didn’t seem to mind a discount and said the guys working would be paying out of their pocket for what I didn’t..?! My husband asked the workers to take down the VERY small palm on the side of our house and the guy onsite let me know; this was the least they could do? Benito (on site manager?) was apologetic but also claimed they were not told about the back tree needing approval, so in the end someone was a liar and I HATE liars.. they offered to trim my front bushes but I did not allow; I didn’t want them butchering anything else honestly. When it came time to pay, we were literally harassed for 24 hours getting several calls, texts, voicemails about wanting payment but I had yet to receive an updated invoice. When I reached out, the owner mentioned the workers did extra work so we basically should pay the agreed amount?!? I’m sorry, they took 90 seconds to remove a 4 foot tree(didn’t even grind the stump!) and I’m expected to pay full price after wrongful damage and emotional/mental anguish??? The owner then had THE AUDACITY to question our integrity because I still expected a discount and told me ‘to pay what I thought was fair’. I ended up paying 75% which I think is MORE than fair even after being blatantly disrespected by the worst customer service I have EVER received. If you have a small job, sure go with these guys. If you care about your garden & yard, please find someone else. “You get what you pay for” ..

This company is 100% awful!!! Got a quote and was told they would start the next day. Crew shows up with no direction. No one knew what the entire job was suppose to be. Once removal was done we had to repeatedly go outside and remind the crew to not cut any of the marked wires or damage the sprinkler system. One employee was about to cut the city electric line. Good thing my husband happened to see or we would have had a real medical emergency on our hands. Even after all of the reminding and babysitting, they completely tore up our sprinkler system. Then my husband was told by one of their workers that this is to be expected and we would just need to deal with it!!!!! The original guy that quoted us has never returned a single call or text. We have called another guy that was listed on the card but he has stopped replying as well.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

TL;DR: If you want a good go-to-service you can use on demand, this is not it. You get what you pay for. Was referred to this company by a neighbor who did a great job on his lawn so I was expecting some decent service at least. Job was done okay at best, unfinished at worst. They didn't even come and completely finish the job that they were hired to do. I asked them to cut the branches that were over the power lines and they didn't get all of them. They did throw in a free tree removal for one of my dead trees on my property, but if I had known that it would come at the cost of them not completing the original job, I would have told them to leave that tree there and I would have cut it down myself. Cleanup was a terrible experience and there’s a good chance they broke one of my driveway lights on the way out. They tried to ask for payment before the clean-up was finished, which was weird considering they told me that they were going to offload all of the tree waste just a few minutes before, and I had to call their supervisor Bryan to bring them back the next day to finish the job. They did actually clean it up well when they came back, which confused me why they didn't just do that in the first place instead of asking for the money before the clean up was complete. I tried to ask the crew why they didn't cut the other branches down, but none of them spoke English well enough to explain themselves. I'm probably going to need to call another crew to cut those branches down when they inevitably fall on the powerlines again. I tried to give Bryan the benefit of the doubt to come and correct some issues like he said he would, but as soon as they got paid, the business transaction was over and now I’m stuck here with branches above my power lines still. I shouldn’t have to message the company to come and do their job they were originally hired to do. I even offered them more money to come back and cut the branches but they declined and said they would cut it for free. It’s been 2 months since then. Very unfortunate since I needed a go-to tree trimming service but they will not be the ones I'll be going to.

Outstanding! Came to provide estimate on day of request, showed up for job on time, did a great job getting to and removing several poorly accessible, moderately large trees. No property damage. Flawless clean-up. Reasonably priced. Flexible and responsive to my requests. Overall excellent and would definitely use again!

Exceeded my expectations for requested service. Company would Not accept Payment until I was 100 percent satisfied with their Work.

Everything was fine overall and they were quick to respond and come out and I liked the way they sent the invoice. There was just a glitch with the communication via scheduling when I was confirming and they just showed up and I really needed to get approval from the owner before the company went onto the property.

They didn't finish the job. They didn't cut one tree that they said they would. They didn't do the front at all like they said they would and they cut too much from the back trees. They also didn't cut limbs from roof. I complained and they never responded. Also charged me an extra $50 after I was quoted $600.

They were very good and took care of everything I needed. It went great. I was pleased and I recommended them to my neighbor.

They removed a 20 year old oak. They left a huge mess. A giant pile of debris in the yard and down the driveway. They tore up my sprinkler system. When I contacted them, they did not respond. It will cost me more to clean up the mess than the removal. The worst tree service I have ever received.

It was good, fine. they showed up the next day. He came back the same day. Very nice professional, equipment looked good. Price was good. Very nice guy

One of the owners or managers really valued his company's product. He tried to work with me where his employees failed. I Waited 2 hours & called them to advise of them of the same. I had to call several times for my receipt. I said upfront I wanted mulch. When I told the employees this, they began to haggle as to who was going to secure the mulch. When one finally agreed, he told me it was a lot of work to go into the truck to get the mulch. This information was relayed to the manager & I asked the manager to speak to his employees about customer service & the proper way to conduct business. The rating is a C as they did complete the work. Once management addresses their training issues and keeping their word, they could rate higher.

I am pleased with their work. They came on time with a call ahead. They knew how to do the work ,and none of my gardens or my roof were damaged. They were polite. I was surprised at how fast the work was done.

Awesome job!! Charlie and his crew are the best!! They clean up with a chipper and left my yard cleaner than when they came. Call them first.

Overall experience was A+. Initial consultation was on time and crew arrived on specified date and on time. Work was professional, cleanup was excellent. Very little damage to yard from equipment, less than expected from removal of large oak tree and pruning of many others. I recommend this company for anyone and will continue to use on followup work.

They did a great job and we plan on calling them back to do more work. We would highly recommend them.

Had him come out Monday and did the service the next day. He was very timely. He did an excellent job removing the tree debris. He did an excellent cleanup job.

It was very good, they were professional, the crew was very courteous, they were on time and they did what they said they would do in the bid and they were very good, I was able to review the work and when I request something they followed my request and they cleaned up very well.
