"This was a 5 color exterior. Threebody colors and two trim colors along with stained beams. The house was designed to compliment these multicolors. [Member Name Removed] and his wife did great color choices. The cominication was very clear and the end results were beautiful. It was a fun job!!!!"

We took 7 bids from Sisters/Redmond/Bend area paint contractors. We chose Optimum Painting for three reasons: First, Angie's List rates them highly, over a number of years. Second, John Chabot (president and bidder) is low-key, reponsive and informative. John suggested a longer-lasting paint, for a modest extra cost). Third, Optimum's bid was very competitive. Bo did a great job of prepping, painting and cleaning up. Throughout, customer service was utmost. We're relieved to have the house repainted in a timely manner, before winter sets in. Yes, we recommend John's team at Optimum Painting, without hesitation.

Had a two-layer asphalt shingle roof on a double-wide 1984 Manufactured Home that because of its age, my insurance company said I had to replace (it was not failing). A friend recommended Paul and Stephanie with Optimum Roofing. Paul came and had the roof project estimated in jiffy time including vents to the roof and ice-barrier that we need with our temperature extremes in Central Oregon. John of Optimum Painting & General Contracting promptly emailed me his bid. I had other bids to consider and used Angie’s List to determine this was the contractor best suited to me and my situation. Optimum Painting met and exceeded their obligations. The work was done in two days, the roof is beautiful and already is transferring heat out of my dwelling. Paul and Stephanie are the hardest most conscientious workers you can imagine, and when they were done, they left no trace. I highly recommend these professionals. Thank you, all.

John owns and manages an outstanding painting service company. We solicited five bids and Optimum was the lowest (including our Angies List discount). John worked with my wife and I to coordinate a schedule that was optimum (no pun intended) for our travel schedule to Black Butte. The quality of the painting (which included some minor reconstruction of our chimney structure on our roof) was outstanding. Every part of the house was checked and touched up after the inititial paint application. The PPG Manor House paint has a lifetime warranty. John's kept me appraised of progress on a real time basis and made his scheduled completion interim and final completion times aand dates. John's team was exteremely professional in communicating their objectives and process. Optimum is a very well managed organization that delivered a high quality exterior paint job in an efficient and timely manner.

OPTIMUM PAINTING and CONTRACTING SERVICES did a superb job, very professional as well as versatile in their abilities to complete the job, not to mention they work tirelessly to overcome any and all obstacles that may have arose. My 68 year old father who is a VIETNAM VETERAN truly felt honored, respected and like we were all one big family. Optimum went above and beyond all expected expectations. John and his team did an outstanding job painting the exterior of an office building we own in Bend. John was extremely professional. When the painting was completed every door and jamb looked new. His crew needed to put multiple coats on each door due to going from a dark color to white. We are very pleased with the results.

Optimum Painting, led by John, was one of the most professional, honest, and considerate companies I have ever had the pleasure to have work with. John was highly responsive, prompt with responses, gave feedback when requested, and was able to work with my house, which was in dire need of some TLC. John and his crew were amazing! Our house has finished solid wood cabinetry, trim, doors and floors, and the ceilings are very high, so I was a little worried about having the work done. I wanted to be sure we hired the best company for the job and we certainly did. Not only did Optimum supply the best customer service and best rate, most importantly the house looks great. The job was done timely and flawlessly, and the crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get some painting done.

John's team was thorough and the house looks great. John typically does a 2 year warranty on his projects, but since the house was painted a darker color, the warranty was shortened to one year (darker colors are expected to fade and peel faster in Central Oregon). Hoping that it lasts!

We originally contacted John at Optimum through Angie's List on a Sunday night and he responded within the hour! He came out within 48 hours and got us our estimate within another day. We had to wait 3 months for the work because of a large commercial job he was working on but I've heard that is not unusual in this area. To John's credit, he did not ask for a deposit until he was ready to start the job. Once started, he and his crew finished the job very quickly for the scope of it and yet, they were extremely thorough and detailed. John even had a carpenter come out to do a little repair we needed first. The crew took down and replaced our garage lights, porch shades, house numbers and door weatherstripping for us and even moved our patio furniture. We have been doing some remodeling this summer and have had multiple contractors out and John's group was by far the most hassle-free experience we've had! We did three colors with a fourth on the door and it turned out flawless! I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again in the future.

John and his crew are great to work with! We will have them back in the spring to finish up all of the other things we need done. His crew are very polite and conscientious of prepping areas that are going to be worked on so there is not a big mess or paint where it shouldn't be. Also, they did a beautiful job on our wood floors at a reasonable price and John has so many great suggestions on how things should be done! Clayton is his lead man and went over and above to make sure everything went smoothly. We will defiantly have this group back to complete our remodel in the spring, John is a good and honest and fair person, I would not hesitate to refer him to any of my friends!</p> <br />

Meh. <br /> Crew was polite, prompt, on-time and professional. No complaints. <br /> Work had room for improvement. <br /> They were great with their prep work. Covered everything and patched tiny nail holes as they came across them. Removed all of the outlet covers so they could paint well. I'd removed the baseboards as they were getting replaced and they painted down so when I put the baseboards back on it would look great. <br /> The painting itself went quick, 3-4 guys in and out in 3 days. I chose a very light (almost white) color to go on top of a light brown and when they were done you could still see patches of the brown coming out from under the new paint (didn't prime). I pointed it out and while they gave it another coat basically said that when I lower the blinds and the room gets darker, I wouldn't be able to see it. Well, great, but I KNOW it's there... <br /> While they did pick up after themselves, they did overlook some things like putting the closet rods back and in and leaving some nails they pulled out in the carpet. <br /> As they were packing up I went through and found quite a few areas that needed a second pass (corners, seams, around the door frames). I pointed them out and while they did do a second pass, I kind of feel like they should have caught the vast majority of those themselves. <br /> Overall, the crew was great, the prep-work was great, the clean-up could have been better and I feel like they should have either done two coats to cover the darker color or primed first (I got no communication about it other than "it's really white"). <br /> Not sure I would use them again, but I was a bit short on time and they were the only guys who could do it in the time frame required. Given more time, I would probably hire someone else. <br />

"When I bid this job for [Member name], part of our understanding was that he was going to pick a color a "little" lighter than the brownish color that was on the walls and ceilings. This would've lead to a one coat paint job, and that's how I bid it. He picked a snow cap white color which is far from a "little lighter, it was an ultrasonic white which took two and three coats to cover. Several times [Member name] said the place looked great and it did. He found some light spots and we gave them another coat. I liked [Member name] and joked with him openly. I also texted him and offered to do more touch up before or after he moved in. He never responded to my offer. He also had a time crunch so I and 4 employees worked all day on September 7th, labor day, to help him achieve his time frame. I paid extra for this to happen. The last day that we worked there [Member name] told me that there would be an electrician working there for about one hour. There was three guys there most of the day, and we worked around them. They were cutting out drywall and running wires. I personally picked up their cuttings for them while cleaning up the masking paper. I also fixed a piece of drywall that they accidently cracked. As a rule of thumb we do not throw nails onto the carpet and I did hand [Member name] a box of nails and screws that had been pulled by us for his convenience. I did forget to hang most of the closet poles. A simple phone call or text would of had me back there to do whatever it takes to keep the customer satisfied with our work. Customer satisfaction is at the top of my priority list, as it has always been. John"
