I've worked with the team at Ortega for more than 5 years for projects at both my home and a rental property. Work has included installation of new heating/cooling package unit, water heater installation/replacement (2), evaporative cooler installation, and miscellaneous heating and plumbing repairs. They are always quick to respond and get the job done as promised and per their estimate. Highly recommend.

We bought a really old house that was added on to with a lot of problems, especially HVAC. I called Ortega for an estimate. Anyways, the work went great, given the level of complexity that the technicians faced in an older house with two attics. They had to cut through two roofs and run dryer ventilation through the wall. They faced many complications with my house and still worked tirelessly to get the job done. They went above and beyond, performing quality work at a reasonable price. The owner was fantastic and really cares about his customers. Couldn't be happier with the team, these guys are fantastic!

We had a broken outside faucet and were leaving town tomorrow, so needed it fixed. Jake, the owner of this business personally came out to fix it at the end of his workday so we could be on our way. He was fast, friendly and very reasonable for the repair. We really appreciate that he took care of our repair so well and with such quality work!

This was not an emergency, but I hate wasting water. I called and spoke with Jake, the owner, It was my first time calling but he said he would fit me in later that day and would call. He did as promised and arrived with Kenneth, the plumber. They both fixed it quickly. They were both very nice, polite and professional. I could not be happier with either one of them or their work and the price was great. I highly recommend them.

The workers were late, but the owner notified me and told me when to expect them. They were professional and got the job done. I especially liked that they cleaned up after themselves and were careful not to scratch the wood floors. I highly recommend them.

Jake and his team did a great job! I had gotten a couple estimates from a larger / well known outfit in ABQ- so glad I was referred to Ortega’s because they did it and the price was more than half what the other company quoted. There was some heavy lifting in this job-my 1953 Mossman home still had the furnace in the crawl space under the house- it involved a bunch of duct work to bring it to an upstairs closet... and they still finished in under three days! Jake is honest, straightforward, and not out to price gouge you. His team is polite, professional and hardworking- they worked long days in order to get it all done quickly. His team is licensed/ insured —and they are union guys so very skilled at all of it. Ortega also provided me with an amazing warranty and an annual service plan that will make my life easier, and extend the life of my new furnace. Super happy I found Ortega Quality Mechanical- they will be my go-to guys for most everything from here on out!

I was expecting a big (expensive) job. Sam came in and found I only had a rusted joint. He cleaned it up and sealed it perfectly. Good, Honest, Professional service. I recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work.

The challenge of this project was running a natural gas line 50' from a gas fireplace in the master bedroom to the fire pit on the patio. The gas line in the master bedroom was behind a wall and granite mantle. The crew did an excellent job of sizing up the problem and implementing a solution requiring minimal drywall work. Plumbing of the gas line was first rate, despite very limited access behind and under the mantle. Trenching for the gas line outside the house and across the landscaped patio successfully managed to navigate around low-voltage lighting, irrigation lines, vegetation, and pavers without damage. The final result is a lovely natural gas powered fire pit. No more hassle with propane tanks!

Amazing. Fast, thorough, and i even learned a few things. Very qilling to help with anoth small issue that I didn't call dor, but Jake went out his way to take care of the issue.

OQ mechanical came to our house the same day we called. They diagnosed the problem, made their recommendations and replaced our furnace in 24 hours. They were professional, great to work with and got the job done. They called us the next day with a courtesy call. We are going to use their service for all our heating and air conditioning needs.

Jake and his crew came out to take care of a new furnace install over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. They were friendly and courteous, and got the job done.

This involved a crane to haul a five ton and a three ton combo unit onto our roof, reconfigure the exhaust and intake ducts to match our system and install new electrical lines and new thermostats. The job took two days as promised and it went as smooth as silk. I will hire them again for anything to do with HVAC or plumbing.

All went excellent. Jake met with me numerous times and answered many questions before performing the work. The work was performed punctually and well, and cleanup afterwards was superb. I had one issue from a crimp in a wire--I called, and the issue was resolved within 2 hours. I am new to home renovation as I spent my professional life living in houses provided by my employer. I was a bit anxious about the process, but Jake was super to work with. I would definitely call upon him again, and have asked him to give me an estimate on more work on my house. Very! Very Well! Jake determined the cause of the problem, it turned out to be a bad generator. Jake located that same generator in El Paso TX. The price of the generator plus shipping and handling was not worth the investment on a old system. Jake was able to get a brand new system for the right price, installation went great the air is circulating beautiful. I will be using Ortega Quality Mechanical in other projects of my home. I'm not sure if I can state this comment, but I'm going to. I called Albuquerque Plumbing and Heating before Ortega and not once did AP&H never determined what was wrong with my AC. AP&H pointed out everything wrong and not working correctly in my house, and I mean everything. Two days later the cost came to $35,000 dollars. I thank Jake Ortega for his honestly and his help. First, I am not a friend, employee or relative. this is the third time I have used their services. The first was to repair an air conditioner. Excellent price and workmanship. The second was to install a water softener system Again, good price and work. The third time was as a second opinion on a serious water leak not related to the softener installation. The first company stated an entire replumb necessary. Ortega diagnosed and repaired in 5 hours for a very low price. They are prompt, reliable, very reasonable cost, take pride in their work and will not leave until the job is finished and well done. They even clean up after the job! Needless to say, I will not use any other company.

First contractor said unit needed replacement. Ortega came out and said it was repairable. They were the most professional and service oriented company I have worked with for a long time. Extremely impressed!

We appreciated the prompt service when our air conditioner stopped working. We called Monday morning and our air conditioner was up and running the same day. Jordan stayed on the job until 8 PM to finish. I highly recommend Ortega Quality Mechanical for their excellent service.

Work was very Professional. Jacob arrived on time and worked efficiently. He also worked to save me money on parts.

Mr Ortega and assistant arrived on time (2 days later as per agreement) and I told him that the unit was working after all. I remember him smiling and saying "You have a box on the compressor outside, don't you?" I said "Yes. How do you know that?" He told me what had happened before he even looked at the unit. He was right. He then asked me what I wanted him to do. My unit had never been serviced by the previous owners. It's at least 15 years old. He recommended a maintenance service. They took the unit apart and explained to me all of the steps that they go through. I feared the worst; I mean, that is how service people make their money. He told me that the unit was fine, and that I should have a lot more years left in it. He was honest. He was helpful. I am happy. Oh, by the way....his prices were very, VERY reasonable. I've already recommended him to others; and a co-worker was very impressed with him. Mr. Ortega has a customer for life in me. Bravo!!

I called four companies before calling Jake Ortega. All four companies said it would be several days before they could help us. When I called Jake, he said he'd be here in a few hours. Jake and Jordan showed up and did a great job for a very reasonable price. I'm thrilled to find a company who responded to our situation quickly. I will call Ortega Quality Mechanical for all our plumbing and mechanical needs from now on.

The business owner kept me updated with the appointment time. He performed the repair in a timely manner and showed respect for my residence. Very courteous and friendly. I would hire again.
