With a large tree dying next to our back door, we knew we wanted an outdoor kitchen but had no good idea where to start. We received three designs and estimates, Outdoor Artisans had by far the best design and a competitive price. While Clive started the process, Josh took it from there and was terrific. Always on time, responsive and most of all, did a great job. We are planning to do a second phase for the yard next year and will definitely use them again.

If you are looking for a partner to help transform your backyard into work of art, then Outdoor Artisan is the company for you. I cannot imagine having a better experience from beginning to end! Clive, Tracie, Jason, Josh and the entire team were fantastic to work with each and every day. Clive is a true artistic visionary and his enthusiasm is contagious! His design for our house took all of my initial concerns away and the end result was a beautiful and comfortable space that feels more like an extension of our house than an outdoor space. Clive was also patient, practical, and a true professional in listening to our initial thoughts about our space, and our budget. Each and every member of the team was thoughtful and courteous - and they work hard every day. Jason and his team came up with a Pergola design that was unique and better than I could have ever imagined. Every expectation was exceeded. We needed to find a Contractor to carry out services for one our clients. We contacted Outdoor Artisan who submitted a proposal to our customer and one the job. We were able to work with Outdoor Artisan simultaneously on this outdoor project. After this project, we will continue to refer Outdoor Artisan's to any of our clientele that is seeking to have Outdoor Patios, stoneworks, ponds, or kitchens. Because we referred them, our client was exceptionally happy with us for referring Outdoor Artisan for this project.

I've been struggling to come up with the words to describe how impressed we were with Outdoor Artisan. As other reviewers have mentioned, their service and dedication is beyond compare. Clive came highly recommended and after meeting with him the first time we knew right away that he was the person for the job. The design he brought to us simply blew us away. He is a true artist with an incredible talent that's hard to explain until you experience it. Every detail is thought out: the planting of a tree in relation to the sun, the position of a boulder... What we found to be just as impressive is that everyone with Outdoor Artisan shares that same dedication and passion. Jason, our project manager, was outstanding! Always available, quick to answer any questions we had and offering his own suggestions along the way. The entire Outdoor Artisan team, from the office to the stone cutters, were such a pleasure to work with and gave us a space that is not only beautiful but functional as well. We were very pleased with the outcome of the work performed. The antique brick work looks amazing. Johnny and his team did a wonderful job and were great and easy to work with. The owners were upfront on their pricing being higher than others but the quality of the work proves why. You definitely get what you pay for. I would highly recommend using Outdoor Artisan.

Outdoor Artisan is as professional as they come. What i look for more than anything else in a contractor is communication skills. If a contractor cannot excel at communication then clients are not going to be happy. Outdoor Artisan was in contact with us every day of this project, even when we were out of town. We knew what was happening, who was coming and going and what they hoped to achieve each week of the project. In addition to the owner, Clive Newey, we worked with Jason Humphrey, our project manager. Jason has a very artistic mind, and was always suggesting ideas to enhance and build upon what we happen to be thinking about at the time; the stain color, ways to finish the structure with elegant trim, the cupola on top and the corner braces. We highly recommend Outdoor Artisan for any outdoor structure, hardscape or landscape project.

Clive and Tracie were wonderful to work with! Nicest people you'll meet. Their team is very talented, polite and hard-working. We knew we wanted a patio and firepit but didn't have specific details in mind. In our initial meeting with Clive, he took the time to "interview" us to understand our tastes and needs. He put together a couple of designs that addressed all of our needs. Clive was very patient with us as we settled on the design that was right for us. Not only is the patio and fireplace beautiful, he included landscaping that provides shade and privacy, a dedicated space for our trampoline that balances our yard and lighting that looks fantastic at night. Clive goes the extra mile to please his customers. As the project was wrapping up, he called me from the nursery to ask what my wife's favorite color/ flower was so he could include them in the landscaping. Nice touch! I was pleasantly surprised when the job was complete, his team came out and pressure washed the back of the house near the area they worked. They also re-seeded the lawn on the path the heavy machinery traveled to the backyard. After the job was complete, I called Clive about one minor issue and he had his team came out the same day to make the correction. I would most definitely recommend Outdoor Artisan. It was a great experience. You may find cheaper, but not for this quality and level of service.

The founder of Outdoor Artisans (Clive) is a master craftsmen and stonemason. Moreover, Clive is a holistic visionary. He turned my rudimentary design into a concept that encompassed my home, yard, lifestyle and dreams of the future. I can say without exaggeration that Clive sees with the eye of an artist and paints a picture that represents a design that you probably didn't realize consciously but was what you really wanted all along. He offers you an environment that will reflect your persona in way you and your guests will entirely appreciate. Believe me - I tried to do all the work myself and about halfway through realized intuitively something was missing, but couldn't put my finger on it; that's when I invited Clive for an estimate. I am glad I did. After hearing his recommendations, I knew my concept was wrong. I hired him on the spot and tore out all the work I had done; that's how good his design was. The quality he brought to his installation is extraordinary; the lines are clear and fluid, different parts blend together and all of it embraces the larger environment it's been placed in.

We've worked with a lot of contractors. Outdoor Artisan is the best we've ever worked with. First off, we interviewed many companies for this project. We were amazed at how many didn't show, promised quotes and didn't deliver, had no ideas and asked us to come up with a plan, or were completely overpriced for unimaginative or cookie cutter ideas. We wanted something that was unique, well made, and beautiful. From the outset, it was a pleasure to talk to the owner's wife, Tracey, who was kind, courteous, and responsive. Clive, the owner, came out and listened to our ideas and asked us some critical questions about how we wanted to use our patio. He was extremely thoughtful and didn't rush through the design process. The design he created was absolutely what we wanted and it wasn't "over the top" - or too much for the size and style of our home. They communicated with us every step of the way, from when they were going to first arrive, all the way through final punch list items. The workers were polite and clean. When they finished for the day, everything was washed down, swept up and put away. When we wanted to upgrade some pavers during installation, Clive and his right hand man, Jason, were very helpful with the selection and made adjustments to their orders and schedules to get it done. When they started to lay stone and the color/design didn't work, they didn't just keep going and complete it in a way that we didn't like. They stopped and told us that they didn't like it, we agreed, and changed the color and design. We are so used to contractors that do not do what they say they will do. It was so refreshing to deal with someone who actually cares about their commitments and reputation. Everyone who has seen our patio has been blown away. It is a work of art and a joy to just sit and look at. It has been two years since installation and we have had no problems. Gorgeous in every way. We are now moving. The patio was a huge selling point and allowed us to get a lot more money for our home than other comps in our neighborhood. We have already contacted Clive to have Outdoor Artisan do our patio at our new home. Thank you Outdoor Artisan!

We recently worked with Outdoor Artisan to renovate our patio, add a walkway, and build a pizza oven. We had a wonderful experience! During the design process Clive Newey spent considerable time discussing how we currently use the patio and our vision of how the space could look. The design process was fluid and we were able to make changes as the project progressed. One of the reasons we chose Outdoor Artisan was due to working with Clive in the past. We felt that his experience, knowledge, and professionalism would help to insure a unique and inviting space. The crew (Antonio and his team) were always prompt to arrive in the morning, pleasant to be with, and extremely hard workers, skilled in their craft. Randy came up with a great design and then he and Tim made it happen. Their work was impeccable. Because of the location of our patio they weren't able to have direct access, but they made it work. I would hire them again if I ever need anything else done.

This has not happened very often if at all while working with various contractors but I truly have no complaints about The Outdoor Artisan! From start to finish they were prompt to respond (Tracie) to our first inquiry to any questions that we may have had along the way. They started each day on time and left the work site very tidy. Physically the work is extreme but you could see them come together as a team to get this thing done. Always courteous and considerate, no blasting music or litter. They would update if there was going to be a weather delay and they came back when they said they would. There was a time or two when the weather broke and they came over for a couple hours just to keep the project on track. Most importantly, Clive and Jason are the nicest people!! They take tremendous pride in their work because this is what they were created to do. Bravissimo!! <br> <br>You will not regret your decision to use this company for your outdoor dreams!

Excellent, Rick (project manager) laid out the plan and helped select the materials to be used. Starting the project from start to finish Rick and assistant Steve were meticulous about their work. They were very cordial and informed us of the project daily. The end result was better than we expected and is a beautiful extension of our back yard. My wife and I can't say enough good things about them.

This We can not find adequate words to describe our satisfaction with Outdoor Artians. From the initial conversation we could tell these people were first class. Clive and Tracie are true professionals. Clive designed an effective solution to the difficult slope in our back yard and came up with ideas and suggestions that actually saved us money while making better use of our space. What was once a steep grassy hill is now usable patio with a safe and beautiful stone pathway to the lake that now looks like it's always been there. If you allow them some freedom to use their imagination along with your wish list you won't be disappointed. Clive was receptive to several changes and some indecision on our part and the job was seamless. Six months later we called them back to install a paver sidewalk in the front yard. Jason was our project manager and totally lived up to the standard that was set with the first project. He and his team not only made sure that their work was excellent but the care they took of our property in the process is second to none. When the project was finished to perfection they left no trace behind. Not even dust. We have been involved with many contractors and subs in the last two years totally remodeling our home and they could all take a lesson from these people in Quality, value and customer satisfaction. Job extended beyond timeframe promised and initial project issues were exacerbated by continued work; not corrected or improved. Project terminated incomplete after repeated and ongoing issues. Due to scheduling conflicts, you requested that we not be on the job at different times, eventually totalling 5 weeks of missed opportunity to work. An incomplete project will not perform as designed and so it seems unfair to suggest this is a finished "result" of our work. At the end of the day, in good conscience, we know that we tried our best to please you with our creative input and your many requested changes throughout the job. It is our understanding that we are the 3rd company in as many years to help you with your outdoor projects. We believe that warrants some relfection. Potential customers should note that the stated project value of $36000 is correct. However, at this time, the customer has only paid approximately $26000 on a project that is 90% complete. Clive came out and put together a sketch of the potential design and it was something we could have never dreamed up. Work was done in an extremely timely manner and the quality was absolutely amazing. The job was actually completed in September of 2014 and I constantly get mad at myself for not reviewing so here we are...two years later and we are still EXTREMELY satisfied with the work conducted by Outdoor Artisan. Would recommend to anyone looking to transform their yard or patio area into a work of art. Hoping we get to use Outdoor Artisan again in the future when/if we move! The supplied picture is before the final mulch and landscaping was completed, but you can still see how perfect everything looks.

I sent and inquiry through Angie's List and received an immediate response from Tracie. Tracie and I spoke for several minutes so that she could get an idea of what I was looking for and what timeline I was anticipating. Tracie was excellent at staying connected with me through the entire project and keeping me up-to-date. Tracie was also great at connecting with my home owner's association to get their approval for the project. After my initial contact, it was approximately 6 months before construction began. My husband and I met with Clive 3 or 4 times to iron-out the design. Our go to guy that kept everything running smoothly and kept me apprised of day to day activity was Jason. He is the star of this firm! He is professional, kind and just a good guy! Jason and his crew were amazing! I was very impressed with quality of work performed. Every evening the crew totally cleaned up. All of the materials for my project were kept on the street in front of my house. The crew was always cleaning, organizing and doing the best they could to keep the materials as compact as possible so not to obstruct traffic. <br>It is clear that Outdoor Artisan is very busy and in great demand. I am happy that we waited to fit into their schedule. <br>We are extremely pleased with our new living space.

Randy and his team were great to work with. He worked within our space and budget constraints to design a beautiful patio that included all of our “wants”. He and his team were professional and always responsive. Once work began, they were on-site every day, often starting early and leaving late. They went above and beyond our expectations, installing a tv mount by the grill, repainting our siding and patching up a dog door from the previous homeowner. They even worked with us to finish by the date that we had set for our daughter’s birthday party. We are so pleased with the result and our experience with Outdoor Artisan. Highly recommend!

Clive came to see us, spend time getting to know us and how we would use the space. Provided a wonderful design and was accommodating with changes due to our budget constraints. Once the work started he was onsite twice a day to do "quality control" with the workers to ensure our patio/firepit was perfect. The work was completed in about 4 and a half days. </p> <p>Even though he dealt directly with my husband most of the duration once the patio was completed he emailed me directly to make sure I was happy. He understands "happy wife, happy life". </p> <br>

Our experience with Outdoor Artisan was AMAZING! We had the pleasure of working with Randy and his crew. Randy met the challenge of working with people who had totally opposing ideas of style and budget head on. His business card should really read, Randy Sanford - Design Master, Artist Extraordinaire, and Marriage Counselor! I asked Randy for crop circles and a wall to cover the a/c unit. After a bit of laughter he came back with a wonderful design and suggestions for pavers and colors. Randy and his crew were attentive and kept us up to date on the progress of our project. He even added lighting to enhance the outdoor space at night. This company is family owned and you can really feel that through every aspect of working with them. I recommend Outdoor Artisans for any outdoor living space!
