Completely over charged, poor quality work, would not use this company

They did a good job and they did it in one day. We have had no problems since the installation and we would use them again.

Excellent! Very through inspection, and really nice and professional people! They gave us and excellent price and their options we're awesome. The projects were completed on time, and my yard never looked better after they were done. I highly recommend Owl Remodeling!

The consultation went smoothly, I understood the products, services, price and process before the left. Scheduling the work was fast and simple.  They came on a Monday morning and left Monday evening and my house and yard looked better than ever.

All representatives were punctual, thorough, & professional. Where they were above & beyond is I had vines that grew up the side of my house & they offered &, in fact, removed them for no extra charge! They cleaned up meticulously after themselves. Great communication from beginning to end. A very high quality job & a pleasure to work with.

Am really well pleased with the job they did.  All were very professional and did what they said they would.

Went very well and Mike and walked us through the entire process step by step. Took a little over one full day to complete. Coordinated roof installation around our schedule (while kids were at camp). Cleaned up very well.

Michael with Owls Roofing was great to work with. He did a excellent job. He spent the time explaining what he found, how he was going to correct the problem and even took pictures . Originally,I had went with a neighbors advice and hired a different roofing company. After the job was done we had a leak in the roof along with other issues. I called Owls Roofing and Michael were able to find where the leak was and inspected the roof for other areas that needed some attention. This is truly a professional company and I would defiantly use again. <br />

Showed up on time, great guy and had all the materials needed to finish the job within 1.5hrs.  Also came on a weekend prior to a vacation.  Would use them again in a hearbeat. <br />

Owl Roofing replaced the flashing along the back wall of our rear porch and bay window. Our roof was leaking in several areas and prior to joining Angie’s List we had two roofers come out and attempt repairs, both failed. I’m not entirely sure what either of them did, but it appeared to be little more than applying caulk.  After Owl Roofing installed flashing that was saw-cut into the brick facade the leaks are gone. Their price was a little higher than we expected, but you get what you pay for and the quality of their work is outstanding. We also joined the maintenance club so we could get 10% off the repair. If you need a great roofer, I recommend Owl Roofing.

We want to thank Owl Roofing and Radiant Barrier Services for their outstanding job.  They told us that their goal was to exceed our expectations and they have.  We have been looking for ways to save energy and lower our utility bills and we had heard about Radiant Barrier and wanted to know more and so we contacted their company and spoke with Mike and set an appointment for him to come to our home.  Mike came to our home and sat down with us to explain in more detail how Radiant Barrier worked by reflecting a lot of the heat that we were losing in the wintertime back into our home instead of letting it escape and also how in the warmer months it will be reflecting heat away from our home and keeping our cooling costs down.  He explained to us how this <br /> <br />works differently than normal insulation in our attic because it reflects the heat instead of absorbing the heat like normal insulation and that eventually heat will pass through the normal insulation and so Radiant is great because it reflects much of this heat, never letting it get to the insulation or inside of our home in the first place.  Our insulation isn't that old and so we were wondering if Radiant Barrier would help because we already had insulation in our attic but he showed us that no matter what type or how new the normal insulation we have is, Radiant Barrier will work and save us money.  He even showed us a demonstration box with heat lamps showing that one side without radiant barrier reached 148 degrees and the side with his product was just 98 degrees!  When we saw the 50 degrees difference and knew that meant the attic with the 148 degrees was spending that much more money to keep their house cool, we knew that this would save us money.   <br /> <br />Mike also let us know another great thing about his product, it never needs any maintenance and it doesn't break down.  We love the fact that the crew installed the product and then we never have to mess with it or do anything with it and just let it keep saving us money year after year.  We already can feel a better comfort level in our homes and the temperature feels more even throughout our home because before we had areas in our home that were colder than other areas of the home and so we don't have those anymore.  Our heating and air conditioning doesn't run as much anymore and so that means it will last even longer for us which is nice because those units are very expensive.  We have received our power bills and they are DOWN over 28% from the same time last year before the Radiant Barrier!  WE ARE SO HAPPY!   <br /> <br />We would definitely recommend Owl Roofing and Radiant Barrier Systems to anyone and will use them for any roofing work that we need.  We have already referred them to other friends.  We were very impressed with their <br /> <br />knowledge and professionalism.  (When Mike arrived he even wore these covers over his shoes to protect the floor of my house.  I told him he didn't need to but he insisted on protecting them and that was really nice.  My husband and I have three little boys and two dogs and both work full time and so keeping the house looking nice is hard to do but important to me and so I appreciate him doing that). <br /> <br />Thanks so much, we love our new Radiant Barrier and enjoyed working with you and recommend you to everyone! <br /> <br />Best Regards, <br /> <br />Mary <br />

Jesse from Gold Medal Contracting is amazing!  GMC did an incredibly wonderful job on my roof, and so quickly.  I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a great roof!  The customer service was terrific!  PLease call them for your roof! <br />

Process of estimation, working with the insurance co. on hail damage claim, etc, scheduling the work went fine. <br /> <br /> However, another contractor doing other work several weeks later noticed a problem area the roofers should have taken care of. I spoke twice with Dan Constance, the project manager, he promised to have the problem taken care of, but I've heard nothing from the company.

Overall the workers did a good job.  They could have been a little better on their customer service and follow but as far as the work it turned out ok.

My experience with Gold Medal Contracting rates as one of the best experiences I've had with a home service contractor.   <br /> <br /> Nicholas at Gold Medal Contracting provided excellent customer service from my initial call requesting a quote until the last stray nail was picked up from the yard.  While I had seen other roofing companies operating in my neighborhood take days and in some cases weeks to finish a roofing job (with pallets of shingles sitting in their driveway for days before work began)....this was not to be the case with Gold Medal Contracting.  Our shingles arrived on a Friday, the work crew was at my house at 8am on Saturday (this was the date I had requested), the roof was completely done by 3pm, and the crew was gone by 3:30pm.  The roof looked great and the yard was completely cleaned.  Leading up to this, Gold Medal Contracting had also handled all the necessary insurance paperwork and answered all my questions regarding the particulars of the project.

We signed the contract after we picked the color of shingles.  Jesse's crew began work three days later.  They completed the job by working a half day on Friday, all day Saturday and a half day on Sunday.  They did a professional job and cleaned up the driveway and yard each day so as not to leave any nails behind.

I believe they did a fine job for a reasonable price, dealing with my insurance company's estimate. I was upgraded from three tab contractor quality (ie. junk) roof to a 50 year architecural for a very reasonable price. All contact was pleasant and professional. Communication was always very good. Short delays from weather and building permits were delt with well and transparently. <br /> I always knew I was dealing with a honest and capable biusiness.Should I ever need roofing again, I will go back without hesitation.

The new roof is on, it looks good and doesn't leak.  The only problem I has was the follow thru.  They put my new roof on and while doing it covered my ac unit in a  tarp to protect it on a day when it was 104 degrees.  I went to work for 4 hours (which they knew) and when I came back I had no air conditioning.  My house was already up to 90!!!  They offered to put us up in a hotel  <br /> until a repairman could come and they let us call the people who normally service our ac unit.  We went to a hotel and I had to miss work the following day to wait for the repairman.  All was good but  it took until the end of August beginning of September to get this taken care of and I had to keep calling and emailing them so they would send a letter of completion to the insurance company so I could pay them.  Once I got that done I just told them that I would be mailing my balance in minus the amount for the hotel room.  Once the check cleared my account they were supposed to mail me the warranty.  I waited 2 weeks from when my check cleared and still had to make several phone calls to get that accomplished.

Great.  Jesse is an honest young man.  He knows his business very well.  He delivers what he promised.  He has gained a lot of trust from us.  I will definitely use him again if there is another opportunity to work with him.

Dropped off new shingles on a couple of pallets in drive way, hugh dumpster(which can, and was, used to get rid of other stuff from the house),  Crew came in next two days and knocked it out.

Everything was done on time. They did when they said they would do it.  They cleaned up after they finished. Overall I was very pleased.  Price wise insurance took care of it. They were very professional and I would use them in the future.

We obtained three estimates from Angie's List "A" rated providers, and Gold Medal Home Imrovements was far and above the best experience. Jesse was the rep, and he went over our insurance claim and verified measurements, etc. He found a few errors in the claim, and took it upon himself to go back to our Insurance Carrier (State Farm) and get the shortfalls rectified, with 100% success. Other's in our neighborhood reported difficulties with State Farm for Hail damage, but Jesse seemed to know exactly how to approach them so we got the proper repair. He was able to upgrade items such as roof felt, roofing material to more expensive materials, and get them all covered. His communication skills were great, and kept us informed every step of the way as to what was happening. Our 60 square roof job was torn off and re-roofed in less than two days. Some damage to gutters and a screen on a window was promptly dealt with, and covered by him at his expense.I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs to replace a hail-damaged roof, or has had problems with State Farm.
