Billy is a fantastic carpenter. He has an extremely high bar for his craft and ensures work is done to the highest quality. There were several instances throughout our remodel that Billy went above and beyond to do the best work for our home. Billy helped to guide us through the process and use his experience to ensure we were making the best decision possible for our home. We’re so grateful we found Billy, and will definitely be using him again for projects big and small throughout our home ownership. I am only able to select one option, but Billy helped us with framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, door/window install, and more. Can’t recommend him highly enough.

Billy installed and removed a windows ac. He trimmed it out and patched some stucco. It is beautiful work. He also opened up part of my kitchen wall to make an existing opening bigger. Billy is incredibly neat and demo was done very cleanly. He is timely and very communicative.

I would not hesitate to hire Billy again. He replaced a 20 foot long piece of trim that had become loose where the siding met the chimney. This also included sealing the space between the trim and siding to keep vermin and insects out. He was prompt and well organized. He projected himself in a professional manner through all of our interactions.

Billy was efficient and easy to work with. We had two bids for our project and his was better. I am happy with the finished product. We will likely hire him again for future projects as needed.

Bottom line up front. Great overall experience, superior workmanship, excelling work ethic, would gladly hire PAC / Billy again! Long version.... We Live in a town house and the all the pergolas of our complex (5 homes) needed to be replaced due to water damage and rot. We learned of Pacific Ace through a friend, contacted Billy and he came out to do an estimate. Billy was friendly and did a detailed inspection of the old pergolas before he gave us estimates (one for each home). One of the other home owners had another carpentry firm come out for an estimate / bid and it was higher and got the feeling that they weren't going to put much effort into it. The pergola turned out great so we decided to ask Billy for an estimate on our 'Juliet' (small) balcony at the front of our home. All of the townhomes have had problems with water damage on the balconies as the builder didn't install flashing on the flat portion of the wood railing and in some places routed roof water gutters to the balconies to be drained by another set of gutters. The townhomes were built in 2006, one owner had work done in 2007 which fixed some builder issues and had flashing installed on their railing. In 2013 another owner had work done, essentially having a contractor replace most of the balcony due to rot. Our balcony started to have soft spots near the edge and except for putting up Xmas lights we decided to not use it anymore. Billy (Pacific Ace Carpentry) completed the pergola work then did an open and inspect on our balcony to see what actually needed to be done. He originally thought the damage was mainly surface boards but as he dug into the job it expanded to replacing 80% of the balcony. Billy explained the issues and we talked through options...basically though the only option was to fix the entire balcony. Billy took measurements of the current balcony then tore down pretty much everything except for some main supports that were still good. Because the job scope was bigger, wood costs were high, wood supply was low and we had a laminated plywood weather surface on the deck he had not dealt with before it took a while to get all the pieces in place to start construction. Unfortunately he started the week during hot weather period in June hit but Billy came to work on the balcony in morning of those 100 degree plus days...staying longer than I though he should due to the heat. He got the majority of the work / reconstruction done but because of the heat / material delays and other job commitments he had to delay the final elements of ours (get / install flashing, seal, paint) for a short period of time. Wasn't an issue as there was no rain in the forecast. We are very happy with the results and will happy reach out to Billy on another projects we need!

Billy built both a playhouse as well as a Gazebo for us. Both of them were custom build. He was able to build them exactly the way we envisioned them from only showing him some pictures we found online. They are amazing quality and fit perfectly into our yard. It was very easy to talk to Billy and he kept us in the loop throughout the building process. We will definitely hire him for future projects.

He installed grab bars in the bathroom and fixed an exterior gutter that was leaking. He was very prompt and pleasant to work with. He also did a good job and cleaned up after himself. I have recommended him to friends. None of the above categories fit.

Billy helped us fix squeaky stairs and install railings. We also considered doing some cabinetry work in our kitchen, and he was very efficient in researching and identifying our existing cabinet brand, calling the distributor and trying to source materials. He was in constant communication with us through the entire process. Billy was very professional, fair priced, and did a great job. Will definitely use him for future needs.

Excellent craftsmanship on a bathroom reno! Billy demo'd some wainscoting, repaired the drywall behind it, and installed base trim consistent with that which was already installed. Another contractor with drywall experience came in afterward and said "wow, smooth!" Compliments from peers are important!
