It was very good. They were professional and did a very beautiful job. It was a very quick response from the Pacific Water Damage and they were very accommodating as I was not ready when they wanted to come.

I contacted the provider and was informed that they had gone out of business due to unforeseen circumstances, which caused me to request a refund for the Big Deal. I did not think the provider was professional on the phone, as he seemed taken back by the fact that he was getting contacted for the business that was no longer up and running.
Response from Pacific Water Damage
"The Big deal promotion was run in July, and it was purchased by them in July. It was October 20th when they called to use it. Over 3 months had passed. This is why I was surprised to here from them. I explained that we were no longer in business and they could get a refund from Angie's list for their purchase. I'm not sure why that would warrant an F grade."

Rubin came out to look at the job and discussed an additional job I was considering. He did not send the estimate for the second job, but then did communicate the information to me when he came out to do the first job. Rubin was very professional, personable and a clear communicator. I had purchased and Angie Big Deal of three hours for $99 dollars expecting the job would require an additional 1-2 hours. His estimate and final price came out about what I expected. His work was very good. I will have him back to do the second job of refinishing the walls in the bathroom.

I am so glad I hired Pacific Water Damage! First, let me say that Mr Ruban Logan is absolutely one of the nicest people I've ever met. He did a fantastic job repairing my living room ceiling which had been botched-up by another comany. Unfortunately, I'd had a roof leak several years ago and had hired someone to repair it. It looked just terrible and I thought I was just going to have to live with it. When I saw the Big Deal on Angie's List, I thought, what have I got to loose? Maybe it can be fixed, and I took a chance. Mr Logan came out on a Saturday for me, took a look, saw what needed to be done to fix it, and just like magic, he made it happen. I am so pleased. I never dreamed it would look this good ever again! Mr Logan is a gem! He was kind, thoughtful, punctual, and professional. I highly recommend him and his work!
They did good work. The only problem was that they kind of lost track of one of our checks. They called us about that a couple of times because they were sure they had not received a check, which they had, because they had deposited it. They did a really clean job and did not leave a mess. We were a small job so we were kind of fit in-between a couple of other jobs, I think. I used them because I think they had good ratings and comments on Angie's List.

Everything went very well. Rubin was polite, respectful and efficient. He understood that we were new homeowners (and first time parents) on a budget, and told my husband what work to get started on so that the cost could be cut down a bit. Each time Rubin came to our home (three separate mornings), he got right to work. He explained everything he was going to do, and then went over it with me again before he left; I appreciated that. He was great at communicating with my husband over the phone regarding the cost estimates, and he held true to his word once he finished the work. He had to leave heaters set up in our home and everything was very neat, causing as little of an inconvenience as possible. He also had to get down into our crawl space, and each time, he made sure to track little, if any, dirt/debris back in with him. By the end of the service, I had complete confidence that the mold issue was taken care of. On the last day, there was a quick review and sign of the bill, a funny story or two, and then he was gone just as quickly as he had come. I would definitely use Pacific Water Damage again, although I'm hoping I never have to! :)
I had originally called Pacific Water Damage to get an estimate on removing mold from my garage. Rubin came out and did the inspection and bid, which went fine. I ended up not going forward with them on that project because their price was quite a bit higher than the company I ended up using.
At the same time I mentioned that I needed my front door repaired as my home had recently been broken into. Rubin said he could take a look at it and repair the doorjamb, as well as install new locks that I had purchased. Over the course of this visit and two others, meaning I had to take time off from work for each visit, the repair was not completed to my satisfaction (the doorjamb he installed was not the right size, and when he went to install the new locks he said they wouldn't fit and could not install them.) After Rubin was unable to install the locks I decided to go with another company to fix my doorway properly, and made Rubin aware of this a couple of days later. When the replacement company came out they noted how the doorjamb that Rubin installed was the wrong size and was not installed properly. They also pointed out that the new lock set I had was fine and it was easy for them to install. The doorjamb was replaced and the new locks were installed in under two hours by the replacement company (only 1 visit needed.)
Over two months later I received a bill from Pacific Water Damage for $322, the vast majority of which was for labor. I had assumed that since over two months had gone by that they had chosen not to bill me since the repairs were not completed properly, which would have been the right thing to do. I called and spoke to Rafael to express my dissatisfaction with being billed for repairs that were not completed correctly. He offered to work with me on the price since i wasn't happy with the work, but even after that I still feel I should't have had to pay anything given the quality, or lack thereof, of the work that was performed. I would definitely not recommend them for handyman type services.

Rafael told me what he was going to look for in my home. He went about his job in a professional and thorough manner and narrated what he was doing and what he was finding. After his inspections he gave me a summary and recommendations.

We received three estimates on this work, and SD Water Damage/Restoration was almost 5K less than the two others, who were also on Angie's List. The workers arrived on time (or slightly early) for the estimate meeting and on work days. The woodwork was outstanding, and the workmen even made small repairs at no cost on several drawers. Our impression of Mr. Bennett, who did the actual woodwork, was that he was a craftsman of the highest quality and took pride in his work on every level. If we had it to do again, we would have draped off the living room, as the sanding required extensive cleaning afterward. We would recommend this company for honesty, integrity and value to anyone.

It was nice to find someone I can trust. The price was higher than I thought it would be but insurance paid for it and my agent said the price was reasonable. The technician that they sent was very knowledgeable, professional, and really nice to work with. He has been in the business a long time and he took pictures the whole time. They sent me a copy of the bill but they billed insurance directly. They set up the fans and they called when they were coming to check the moisture levels. I think that they did a good job cleaning up and I am satisfied with it.

Master bedroom, master bathroom, guest bath, & hallway was flooded when toilet supply line broke. As a recent first time homebuyer not noing how home owners insurance worked I attempted to begin the drying out process on my own renting some carpet fans and removing some of the carpet and padding. After speaking with the home owners insurance agent, who insisted a remediation company come out, I called san diego water damage. The response was quick and the owner himself came out, I had thought that my efforts would have been sufficent to dry things out, until Rafeal the owner showed me the water still in the walls using a thermal camera, Being a father of two young children the last thing i wanted was a unhealthy enviroment for my children with the potential of mold growth in the walls. Rafeal told me not to worry and quit stressing my self out trying to do everything myself and juggle my job and family at the same time. He reminded me that these instances are why home owners have insurance. So a PROFESSIONAL took over and quickly went to work with a very knowlegable and friendly crew. If aanother disaster happens again believe me the first thing I would do is call a professional and that would be SAN DIEGO WATER DAMAGE

My apartment flooded and I have hard wood floor. San Diego Water Damage and Remediation Services promptly put in the drying system. They were very specific with informing me of details in simple and easy to understand terms of the process that would be done with my floor and kept me informed throughout the whole thing. They were very fast to do the work and my floor looked just like before it had flooded. Great job and service. Highly recomendable.

I called San Diego Water Damage & Remediation Services immediately after realizing that overnight, our kitchen had suffered from a flood of nearly biblical proportions. A water line had sprung a leak in the ice maker, dumping a large volume of water on the floor, under the cabinets, into the wall, everything was just soaked. I was pleased to get an immediate answer on the phone when I called San Diego Water Damage & Remediation Services. They quickly calmed me down, and had a specialist in my home within an hour. I was surprised to see how quickly they were able to assess the damage and get started drying things out. I was also surprised that the owner of the company, Rafael arrived at my home a few hours later to personally check on the progress of the job. Rafael checked in almost daily to make sure things were progressing smoothly, which I really appreciated! After several hours of clean-up, and thankfully finding no mold, the team had installed an array of specialized drying equipment, including one specially designed for hardwood floors. I was very concerned that the flooring would have to be replaced, driving up the cost. Fortunately that was no problem! After several days my floors, walls, and cabinets were *completely* dry. I've been through water remediations in the past and I've never seen a more thorough or complete job. These folks use these amazing IR cameras and water sensors to literally pinpoint the spots that are still the tiniest bit damp and reposition the equipment in just the right spots to dry them out. When they left I was totally confident that my house was completely dry! Overall I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication to customer service that the entire San Diego Water Damage & Remediation Service team provided. They truly behaved like guests in our home. A big thank you to the entire team!

Following a 1.5 hour broken toilet fixture, returned home to find water streaming under the wall in the front of the home, and water 1.5" deep in the carpet of the entry, bathroom, living room and bedroom. After phoning, they were on-scene within 30 minutes with all the professional tools necessary to address the problem. The staff was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. They also worked hard to provide detailed documentation to the insurance company. Since the carpet and pad were old, I requested they be removed, which they did quickly and efficiently. They vacuumed the remaining water and installed fans and dehumidifiers. The staff monitored these on a daily basis for 7 days, until the walls measured zero moisture.

They found this mold that another company did not from previous work that was done. They charged me half the price for this job. They treated my home for the mold. They were very quick and set up containments. They were also very careful and clean while doing this. They really did a great job, and they made it stress-free to work with them. I would definitely recommend them to others.

This job was covered by my insurance. They did a great job. I have had water damage before, and I will definitely call them in the future. They came out within an hour and a half. Larry and Nick showed up and I spoke with Rafiel on the phone. They were very careful to minimize damage in the drywall. They had drying equipment. They also gave me a good idea on what the price would be and worked with me on my insurance coverage. They took the most care of my house and cleaned up very well. They really did a great job, and they made it stress-free to work with them. I would definitely recommend them to others.

We came back from dinner at a friend's house to water standing in our laundry room, powder room, most of the kitchen and seeping into family room carpet. A coupler from our under-the-sink water purification system had blown and a 3/8 inch pipe had been running for possibly as long as 5 hours. After my daughter and I spent about 2 hours mopping up all the water we could and pulling up the soggy carpet to keep the water from going under my hardwood floors, we went to bed (it was about 1 am). Early the next morning, I went on to Angie's List to find a reliable flood remediation company. San Diego Water Damage stood out among the rest. I called, and was immediately impressed by the prompt response to my situation. The "team" came out completely prepared. They extracted water from my carpet and then cut the damaged carpet and hauled it out. They were thorough, using infrared cameras to show me where the water damage was, even where it had made it under my hardwood floor through a small crack! I was very concerned about the floor, as I did not want to replace it. They brought out special drying "mats", that extracted the water from under the hardwood floor, saving it! Everything was done with the height of professionalism and expertise. The follow-up has been amazing. I am so thoroughly impressed with their work and have recommended them to both my insurance company and the contractor who did the restoration work.

Upon detection of discoloration and separation of our baseboards and casings, I called SDWD for a free estimate. Rafael was out the next day and confirmed we indeed had water damage. He thoroughly inspected the affected areas using thermal imaging equipment. He and his crew came back the next day to begin the "drying out" process. Over the next 8 days SDWD was out 5 times to evaluate the drying process and reposition equipment as needed. After everything was dry Rafael mentioned we might want to consider getting a mold clearance test done to ensure all contaminants were removed. We heeded his suggestion and were happy with the "no elevated mold condition existing" report the first time round. This was a confirmation of the quality work this company performed. The reason I did not rate the price was because our insurance company paid for the bill and I got no other estimates.
