Since the initial review I have been contacted by PaintBound LLC. "Mo" and I went over all the issues I had with the quality of his services. He has promised to come back and correct all of my concerns. With the promise of correcting the issues, I have agreed to conditionally adjust the rating on his review. I will submit a final review once all the corrections have been performed.

I had contacted Mr. Edwards about an estimate for painting my windows and eaves . He came quickly to give me the estimate, which was the best one that I received out of 3.. He and his crew did a good job, overall. They were very professional. quick, and made sure what was painted looked good with pressure washing, primer and multiple coats. There were some issues with one of the doors which he fixed and also cleaned up some old paint that has been on brick for years at no extra cost. I would recommend all who are getting painting done to contact him for an estimate before accepting others.

I'm selling my home and the inspector found wood rot on the back door jamb, garage door jamb, two gable vents and eave soffit. The buyers requested these items be repaired by a licensed contractor. Most contractors said they couldn't do the wok within my timeline. The ones who could wanted an arm and a leg. Paintbound has the top ratings on here for a reason. Elmon was willing to do the work quickly and he wasn't interested in upcharging me for the rush job like the others. In fact, he quoted me at 9 am and all the work was finished by 3 pm the same day! Very personable and professional team. They did all the work requested by the homebuyers for less than half of what the next closest bidder quoted. You read than right, less than half! 44.4% the price of the next bid to be exact. I will recommend Paintbound to anyone who asks. If you're military let him know. He's a true patriot and will take care of you!

I got several quotes from Angie's list. PaintBound's was the most reasonable and Elmon was very thorough and honest in his explanation and assessment. There was more wood damage than originally anticipated but but they were able to save/rework a couple of porch poles to save me a few dollars. Even with the additional work/price, their price was lower than the other initial quotes. For the price paid, the quality of work was excellent. The house looks much better and I am glad and satisfied that I chose PaintBound.

It was an absolute terrible job. He was a nice guy. I liked the guy who owns the company. I moved all my furniture and bought the paint. He promised me he would get it done. I was getting ready to have a house appraisal and had to have it done in a certain time. He walked through and convinced me he could do it all. I did add stuff, but he assured me he could get it done. The ceiling is horrible. The painting was mediocre. I had sand everywhere. It was an absolute nightmare. He did say he could come in and fix it, but I wouldn't let him. It was very, very poor workmanship.
Response from PAINTBOUND LLC
"This job had a lot of extensive work which took more time than I anticipated because it’s like cancer, it often spreads. The window sill in the LR, had damage on the sill and under the sill. Once you start using a 5 in 1 and scrape out the damaged area, it went from what appeared to be a 4-10 inch fix, and turned out to be a 2-3 foot fix. These types of repairs take time. You cannot always see from the outside, what the total damage is on the inside until you get into the job. Another area which did take more time was the ceiling in the kitchen. The sheet rock had been put up by an amateur, and it was a ¾” to 1” gap between the sheet rock. This is not acceptable, and I also underestimated the repair time on this. It only had 3 applications and it definitely needs at least a couple more. When they took the TV down, there were holes which also needed repair, thus more time. I was originally told by the customer that the job needed to be completed by the end of the day on Thursday. Then while we were way into the job, she said it needed to be completed a day sooner, on Wednesday. I tried to remain optimistic, and told her that the appraiser didn’t have to have that work done to do their appraisal. I called her back after the fact, and the customer admitted that I was right and the appraiser told her it wasn’t necessary. She still wanted the work completed early, so it was not what I would have liked to put my “signature” on, which is why I told her I would come back when the appraisal was done. I told her I didn’t care if it was 2 weeks later or 6 months later, when she was ready, I’d come back. The customer said she would contact me in about a month to come back. I discovered almost about 1 month later that the check had bounced. I called her, and she said she had put a stop on the check, and then recanted it, so she didn’t know why it didn’t go through. I asked her when she wanted me to come back (and I asked at least 4 or 5 times total) telling her that the ceiling needs more applications. She said she would contact me in about a month. She did pay me, but said she was only going to pay $1500 of the $2100 job. I said it was not acceptable, but because I wasn’t able to get it totally done in the new timeframe, I would take $300 off, making it $1800. It took about 6 weeks to be paid on that job, but it was satisfied. I also did extra work while I was there, and painted the kitchen door, the runners up the stairwell and the backs of the stairs, touched up the stairwell walls, and cleaned under her fridge. I have not been called back as yet. This job is NOT complete. I think my reviews speak for themselves, and the grade the customer gave me is NOT my usual work. I need the opportunity to finish, and I feel sure that she wouold be satisfied, if I were given the opportunity to come back as we discussed."

The home is a rental and my property manager was responsible for inspecting and releasing the final payment. The painter needed to go back and do some minor touch up that my manager noticed. Other then that, the paint job was great.
In my garage the sheetrock had never been painted and all of the taping was coming off. The sheetrock was darkened with age. They had to pull off and retape all of the taping, filled holes, mudded over with much more sheetrock mud than was anticipated, and spent over 4 days working on the sheetrock alone sanding multiple times to get a smooth finish. Because of the darkness of the old sheetrock, 2 coats of primer were applied. The entire garage (1-1/2 car) was then painted including the ceiling. During the process I decided to have the floor epoxy painted. They removed all the old grease stains, etched, painted 2 coats of epoxy to the floor. It looks awesome!! Elmon and his crew were great to work with and even helped out when I needed a hand. They all felt like family. A back building also had a gutter including cover installed which was exactly the way I wanted it.
The final price was more than expected, but included having the floor done and additional sheetrock work that had to be done to make the job right.

They were very prompt. It took them about a week to pay my house, with one or two people working. I would tell other people to maybe get a few more bids. I don't know if I'd use them again.

Elmon (Moe) showed up for the estimate with a great attitude. He explained to me precisely what needed to be done and how he would do it. Moe has a lifetime of experience and was not at all intimidated by the difficulty of our job.
Moe and his crew spent a long time on our job, making sure everything was done right. The stucco repair was amazing. The quality of work is incredible. He uses the best quality products available and applies them liberally and with great skill. I am also really impressed with a member of his crew named Joseph. He seems to me to be a perfectionist and is very honest. They are all hard workers. Moe followed up with me to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. There were a couple of things I noticed, so he and his crew came back and took care of them. Moe has now told me that if anything else comes up I should give him a call and he will come back. What a great attitude! In fact, I already referred him to our neighbor.
Paintbound and Mr. Edwards were wonderful! I contacted them after another company had stood me up and I needed the job completed as soon as possible. Mr. Edwards was very responsive. He came right out, provided an estimate, which was more than reasonable, and started work the same day. All of the estimate was conducted through the phone since I was in a training session and could not leave work. He and his associates completed the job efficiently and, on top of that, did an exceptional job. As they were working some additional issues arose, such as the re-glazing of the window, which were fixed at a budget-friendly cost. Following completion of the job Mr. Edwards met me at my office to review what had been done. Paintbound and Mr. Edwards are professional, more than qualified, skilled in a variety of repairs, and knowledgable. I HIGHLY recommend them and would definitely use them again!
They are an excellent company. I would have them back in a heart beat. I had him back to do a ditch already. They bleached the ceiling to get the nicotine off and repainted. They have done a lot of work. I look at the truck and equiptment and they keep it up. I do not come from this area, and by word of mouth I did a lot of research about them. They have done great work for neighbors of mine too. I would rate them 100%. I have no quams with this company what so ever.
