They were very responsive and came out the same week to perform the roof inspection. They provided a detail account of issues on the roof and what they did to tune it up. They also provided recommendations regarding the aging of the roof and how I should consider a new roof in 2 years to prevent interior damage in the house. Lastly they provided a report of the inspection with photos from the roof. I would definitely use Parker Contracting again! <br />

<p>This was a USAA claim and Parker Contracting followed each detail required by our insurance company stated in a contract. Parker also wrote out a contract according to these specific points laid out by USAA and both parties signed. After the drywall was replaced in the ceiling of the living room near the front door where the leak had been occurring from the valley, their painters completely repainted the living room walls and ceiling so that the new paint over the drywall would match the rest of the room. They also, as an extra, painted the front doors and hallway doors, as well as the mantelpiece which is wood. It looks great.</p> <p>My only wish had been that they would have also painted the adjoining dining room ceiling and walls, as you can tell where the new paint ends on the wall which adjoins the living room and dining room. </p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Marvin did the first inspection and work, and then John Borkowski came back out for a follow-up visit. There was minimal miscommunication at the beginning as the original phone call conversation was not properly translated to Marvin. This being said, John was very pleasant in his emails and offered a follow-up visit to address an issue I suspected was not caught. He found the problem (the bottle rocket issue I mentioned before), and I have not had any issues since. They were all very honest and I appreciate their professionalism. <br />

The actual repair went fine. However, they overcharged us by $150 and when we brought this to their attention they promised to send a refund check. After not receiving the check, I called back and was told that they had mailed the check but had forgotten to put a stamp on it and would resend it. I have never received the check. I have left voice mails and sent e-mails for more than a month but have not received any response. Is this company still in business? <br />

It went FANTASTIC. The gentleman arrived on time and did a thorough inspection of my roof. He then sealed any potential leak areas around my vent pipes and sky lights. I asked him for a quote on some other work, and he sized up the job and said the front office will send me an email estimate. He was very trustworthy and did not bring anything to my attention that was not warranted. Great experience.

Overall went very well. <br /> They came out and inspected the roof and noted storm and hail damage. Due to the timing of the damage we had to work through the current and previous insurance company to get the proper claim date back dated. <br /> I had recently had a very bad experience with a B rated Angie's roofing company so I was a bit concerned with working with another roofing company. I met with the owner to go over the contract and he was very down to earth and trust worthy. They really worked hard to answer all my questions and concerns coming up with some ideas to address them. I felt 100% confident with their answers and they put me at ease. <br /> Materials used were very good quality. Removal and installation went without issues. After the roof install, upon my request they came back to swap out a roof vent and do some cosmetic work with the flashing. <br /> I am 100% satisfied with the work and the terms of the workmanship warranty.

The service went well. They did do some touch up repairs. Two technicians came out and completed the job in about an hour and a half. They took pictures and showed us where the roof will probably need replaced in about 2 years. They were very knowledgeable and I liked that they took pictures to show us. They did not try to sell me anything extra. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

The contractor fixed the pipe collar as promised. I have not inspected the fix closely, but it appears to have been done well from a distance. This was one the Angie's List special that included a roof inspection; however, I never received the inspection results. This was not a priority for me, as I really just needed the pipe collar fixed. Would have been nice to get the inspection report though. <br />

Identified storm damage and assisted me in getting insurance to reimburse for roof replacement. Worked with two different insurance carrier due to the date of loss. Pleasant to work with, honest and assisted in every way. They are going to also be the ones to replace my roof, a separate roof installation review will follow later. <br />

Great... they sealed up some areas around chimney and found we had hail damage. Put a claim in through our insurance and we are getting a new roof! They've been very helpful through the process thus far and we will definitely use them for the new roof. <br />

Very professional. I didn't get home in time because they were actually a bit early (they'd called before coming over, too, so no surprise there). Said that the roof looked good and recommended a few optional things. No pressure to purchase anything more from them. The kind of company we like to work with - expert, tells you the truth, reasonable cost. <br />

The technician showed up on time, introduced himself along with his partner and proceeded to explain his purpose. We spoke for about 5 min about what service he was to perform. After the conversation he proceeded to his vehicle to retrieve the ladder in order to gain access to my roof. At this time, I went back into my house and informed the tech should he need anything do not hesitate to knock on the door and let me know. Less than 10 minutes later, the technician knocked on my door and informed me the job was completed. He proceeded to show me a digital picture of what he stated was my roof and the so called completed minor repair. It took longer to remove the ladder from the top of technician's vehicle than the time spent on the entire job. I asked for a receipt documenting the job and was rebuffed by the technician claiming a receipt should be available from the Angie's list website. I emailed and called the main office requesting a service receipt only to be ignored as well. I absolutely did not receive any value for the $150.00 investment in this service. I do not recommend using this company. What a disappointment. <br />

Although we always hope for a positive review, clearly this customer was not happy with anything about our service (except for being punctual). Our inspector followed procedure by first introducing himself and then explaining the "purpose". There is no way of estimating how long a Tune Up might take as there are a lot of variables to consider (i.e., Single Family vs Town House, steepness of roof, damage if any, etc.). This was a Townhouse with NO reported areas of concern. Our inspectors take pictures to share with homeowners, IF (and only if) they find damage or areas of concern for possible leaking. Most customers consider peace of mind very valuable and money well spent. Parker Contracting, Inc."

"Although we always appreciate anyone taking the time to review us on Angie's List, a negative review is disappointing. Parker Contracting went to this home as scheduled for a Tune Up, the customer reported a leak. Our inspector found a portion of the roof to be flat and explained to the customer that a flat roof can be very difficult to pinpoint a leak. He did caulking of multiple areas of concern. We received a second call from the customer stating the leaking continued. We sent our Inspector out again and he did more repair work. He also explained to the homeowner that due to the age and condition of the (entire) roof, that all repairs being done at this time were temporary at best and that they should consider having the roof replaced. All seemed well and then we received a third call. Again, the customer only purchased a Tune Up/Inspection (including pictures) for $150.00 directly through A.L. Parker Contracting went over and above for this customer. We assume that the problem WAS solved as we have not heard back from them. Parker Contracting, Inc."

It went well. They did a good job. I was relatively happy. I had to call them to get the pictures though. They were good. For the price of what they did was a little high. With the faucets, I think it was cheap and reasonable with labor and parts. I had them look at the roof for an inspection and I think that's $500. I was happy for the most part. They were very professional, very organized and good people. I would recommend them.
