On the morning of 4/18, one of the springs on the garage door broke in half as the door was about 1/3 open.  It slammed to the ground, stripping the teeth out of the opening mechanism.  I knew Pates had done a lot of work in our area and called to schedule an appointment and get an estimate.  I got and left a voicemail and received a return call within 30 minutes.  He told me he could be out at 1pm and provided an estimate based upon my description of $175.  He arrived promptly at 1pm and completed the repairs in approximately 1 hour for the price quoted.  Also examined all other aspects of the door and the opener and told me that everything else was in good shape. <br /> Extremely honest:  didn't try to push for work that was not necessary.  Personable and professional.  I would definitely use Pates again and would strongly recommend. <br />

He is just absolutely fantastic.  Our whole neighborhood has used him as well.  His price is very competitive.  When I had the little garage pad put in, he did a complete service of my garage.  When somebody broke into our car, we had to have new garage door openers, and he did that within two hours.  He reprogrammed everything, and he was able to come in between two appointments because he knew that our house was vulnerable to theft.
