Todd appeared very knowledgeable and having seen an "A" rating on Angie's List, we thought that he was legitimate. He claimed to be licensed in both Tennessee and Mississippi, which appears to have been a lie. After starting the project, Todd began to delay and have lots of excuses for not showing up. At some point, it appears that he realized that he was over his head and he just quit. After taking a closer look at his work, it became evident that most of the work that he did was defective and will have to be taken out. We were very disappointed in his inability to deliver on his promises and apparently was incapable of doing the project that he contracted to do.

My experience with Todd Barbee of Patriot Building Group is horrible. He did not complete my home due to his untruthfulness of not using the money we paid him to pay the subcontractors. My contract was signed on May 1, 2017 and we paid him $40,950.00 Todd lied to the Bartlett Permit Office and filed for a permit in the amount of $2,950.00 to build the addition. He can no longer pull permits in Bartlett. The permits on my home are currently open with the possibility of a lien being filed if they are not paid. Todd currently owes HVAC over $7,000 and Electric/Plumbing over $12,000 Todd lied to me telling me he had paid them most of the money and only had a small balance to pay. I cannot recommend Todd Barbee because he did not completing his contract due to not being licensed and he has been dishonest leaving my family in financial difficulty. The estimate to complete our home is $5,100.00.

Todd lied to Bartlett, TN permit office to obtain a permit in the amount of $2,950.00 when the actual work was $40,950.00. He was also dishonest with us when he took every payment from us and did not apply them to HVAC, Electric, and Plumbing/Gas. To date of, Dec. 19, 2017, he still owes HVAC over $7,000, Electric and Plumbing/Gas over $12,000. Due to him not being a licensed and insured contractor, another lie from him, my family has incurred an additional expense of $10,100.00 to complete the work he was contracted to complete and did not. I would never hire him again.

This project went very well. The contractor was prompt, professional and understood exactly what I was looking for. They supplied many samples so I could find the best match. I am working with this contractor on another project already. Will update how it goes!
