PAUL DEVENNY CHIMNEY SWEEP

I originally called Paul to have him inspect/service our existing fireplace. He was punctual and very knowledgable and gave us some much needed information on how the system works and answered a bunch of questions for us. We then decided it might be nice to upgrade our system to something more modern (i.e. get rid of the gold trimmed glass and get a system with a remote). He recommended an awesome place for us to go to where we had an equally great experience. After the system came in, Paul picked it up for us and brought it with him for the install. Him and his helper, Juan, were great again, installing our new system and walking us through how it all works. Really enjoyed working with Paul and would absolutely hire/recommend him.

The service is good and the price is fair for regular chimney cleans and dryer vent cleaning. However, recently in the past year I've had a lot of trouble getting any response. There have been missed appointments and a general lack of communication.

Paul and his assistant were right on time, covered the work area with drop cloths, answered all my questions and showed me the inspection video they made during the cleaning. Pricing was fair and and they did not try to sell me any services I did not need. Very good experience and I would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for these services.

Paul was very easy to work with. I texted him photos of the chimney and the repairs needed. He responded very quickly. His fees were reasonable. He also inspected our stove and found some minor work that needed to be done. We will definitely use him for the additional work.

It went perfectly! Paul and his team are very professional and care about your home. All precautions were taken to ensure no chimney dirt/ash were left behind or spilled. Very good company, I will hire them again.

Paul arrived on time, there was snow outside so he laid down drop cloths coming into my family room off the rear deck. He cleaned, inspected and adjusted my fireplace and gas line.

Paul was very responsive and came on time - no 4 hour window! Fireplace was cleaned and he even adjusted the flue....without any extra charge. Very clean! I've had other people in to clean my fireplace but after this visit, Paul will be the only one on my list

Prompt and professional service.

Paul brought an intern to do the work, and although he was very nice, we had an issue 2 months later with the chimney stack. The flue backed up and smoke poured into the house. Upon examination of the stack, the flue was completely blocked with creosote. It was clear that the sweeping job did not actually remove the creosote or clean the stack at all.

I thought personally, I?ve had other chimney sweeps that seemed to do a more thorough job than he did. I don't think I would use him again. They did alright. Other chimney sweeps seemed to be more meticulous relative to the examination part. He did the job okay. I can't say he didn't do the job right. I just felt that other services seemed to be a little more meticulous and got into more of a detail than he did.  <br /> <br /> The work was average. The cost was reasonable. It was a reasonable fee. He was very responsive. He was a good communicator and right on time. My concern is, it's important to get a very thorough inspection because if they miss something than your house could burn down. To me, cleaning should be the easy part. If you get in there, you get the equipment and clean it. Like how meticulous are you in terms of really making sure that nothing a miss.

Excellent work. Responsive, professional, kind, and experienced. We used him twice already, and will do so again. Extremely friendly guys, and not out to price gouge, which was appreciated.

Went good, Paul and his assistant were very personable. They did not recommend a full cleaning as the fireplace was very rarely used by previous owners. Instead they just did the inspection and gave me some tips on care and maintenance. I appreciated the help and plan to use again

He was quick and efficient. After the cleaning he was kind enough to walk me through the process of how to use my fireplace. Would hire again for a cleaning.

Paul was prompt and did the cleaning and inspection in a timely, neat, and organized manner. He is coming this week to install glass doors for us. We plan to continue using him in the future as well.

He was excellent. He was very reliable. He was the only person I have ever used to clean my chimney. I did not use him last year because we had a mild winter and only had a few fires. He is very thorough and clean. He was very responsive. He always appeared when he said he would appear. He is a good guy. He is a local guy and had good reviews and that is why I used him.

He was very good he was informative he gave us detail description on the inspection of the chimney and actually no work had to be done he just came to give it inspection, he was on top of the roof up he went in every angle that he possible be could nothing with the chimney itself was wrong but he said there was some other exterior factors like a ceiling where siding meets your chimney, he did not do those repairs he only really the masonry work the fire ceiling and the inspection. he was polite he actually spent some time with me giving me different tips and information on how to prime my chimney give me some different technique I should try use it whether it be hair dryer or holding a piece of paper here wait on a flame kind of you could heat to come out of the chimney before you start to use it so he gave me some he spend some time with us so it was nice. He was affordable he took my cheque there on the spot and he was he was just kind and he's polite that's not an easy job he was sweating.
