I had mixed feelings from the beginning.
I made my appointment, and was told TC would be doing the estimate. Instead, another associate arrived to conduct the estimate, but sometimes things change, so we went with it. We liked what Victor explained would happen in the repairs to our patio, so we hired them that day. We were supposed to receive a call at the end of the week for scheduling.
The end of the week arrived, no one called. I called, left a message, and upon a return call was told that we'd be contacted in the next week, because they were more than three weeks out in scheduling.
The next week went by, and no phone call. I called, again, left a message, and upon a return call was told what days we were booked for the repair, cleaning and sealing.
The repair team arrived the day before it was scheduled. I was home, so it didn't really matter to me. I went out and talked to the guys, and made sure they understood what we wanted repaired. We were estimated for the entire edging of our patio, which was about 27 feet. I was told it would take an hour, which seemed strange, as the estimate indicated it would take 3-4 hours. But, I'm no paver professional, so I left them to it. I watched them begin to repair the patio, and it was clear they knew what they were doing. But, after 45 minutes, the crew left. They only repaired about three feet of the patio. And, I discussed with Victor during the estimate that we had a soil erosion issue with the patio, as it's on a slight hill, which caused the sand to vacate from under the patio, leading to the uneven pavers. He told us they'd add a new edging and some rocks to seal the area better. This crew added the same edging that was originally there, and dug up dirt from an area in my front yard where grass was struggling to grow to cover it up (I didn't put together that they took dirt from the front yard until a few days later).
I called TC and left a message, and he returned my call almost immediately. He explained that the person doing the repairs that day was his best, and he'd have the team come right back to my house to do any other repairs that I felt were needed. I was happy with this. I called TC around 9, so I expected the team back shortly. Noon came and went, and they didn't show up, so my husband called and left a message. 5pm came and went, and they still hadn't shown up, and I called and left another message. No one ever called us back.
Then, the cleaning and sealing crew came the next week and finished the job like everything was fine.
A bill arrived in the mail a few days later, of course charging us for a full hour of work, even though the guys were only in the yard for 45 minutes.
While the work the sealing team did is very nice, I still have uneven pavers, which I will have to later repair, and since it's rained a few times since the patio was repaired, I already have soil that has completely eroded from the patio because it wasn't repaired in the way we were told it would be.
I think it's really unprofessional that I would be told one thing on the phone, and when no one shows up, my phone calls and messages are ignored and the remainder of the work continues on like everything is settled and fine.
No one bothered to call and see if we were satisfied with the work; they just sent the bill. I'd call, but I'm assuming that call will be ignored, again.
I'm disappointed. We were looking for a company we could rely on for patio repairs, and clearly we'll have to keep looking.
