First he did a stress test on the computer to be sure it was worth repairing, cleaned the interior, installed a new fan and a second hard drive.  Then he removed a virus, installed Windows 7 OS, Microsoft Office, ccleaner, spybot.  Temporarily installed a program that allowed me to delete all of the multiple copies of my photos that the virus had created.  Recommended and installed a 5 year antivirus program that was $156.00 (about $32 per year, seemed reasonable to me).  Followed up multiple times to be sure <br /> that  I and my husband were happy with the results and assure us that we were welcome to call him with questions at any time. <br /> I can't forget to mention that he did all of this in 2 days,  picked up my computer Thursday morning and I had it back and working Friday afternoon. <br /> Initially when I checked Angie's List I contacted two PC repair providers willing to come to my home - Tom contacted me almost immediately - which is why I chose him.  He was always right on time when we had appointments - which is a huge pet peeve of mine - and he was friendly and strived to make me more PC savvy than I was when I met him.  <br /> If I bought a new PC tomorrow I would schedule an appointment with Tom to maximize its performance and remove all of the unnecessary junk that is installed by the manufacturer, like I said before this computer has never worked better. <br /> I have to say if I don't use Angie's List again this year that this experience was worth the enrollment fee. <br />

they got it fixed.  There were delays due to snow but it was not their fault

<p>It was okay, not the greatest in the world but don't blame him it was okay. He last worked for me a month ago. He did some work on my laptop. He didn't resolve the problem I had. It was not his fault but he wasn't as good as I was hoping he would be. There are other companies I would recommend first. His price was good.</p>

This was an Angie's deal for 90 minutes of computer tech work for $49.  It was obviously a great bargain.  Tom, who owns the company, was able to see me just a few days after our intial contact.  He came to my home and got right to work.  He obviously loves his work and enjoys assisting those of us who require assistance in this area.  He has a world of knowledge.  It's too bad that some of it was lost on me since I'm at a primitive level with computer know-how.  Regardless, he was successful and I was quite appreciative of his work.  My computer had slowed down considerably.  He has gotten it to function optimally by eliminating persistent viruses and getting rid of unneeded files.  Any help that one requests, Tom is motivated to solve the issue.  He even got me better organized with my files.  He also said to give him a call anytime the computer malfunctions.  He will be the first person I call if my computer is not functioning well in the future. <br />

He really is very responsive.  He sets it up so he can see what is wrong with your computer from his, so he doesn't have to always do a home visit.

He is charming, very funny, very thorough at explaining the issue and helping me through the issue. Very nice on the phone and able to call anytime.
