Wonderful!! I am amazed at the outcome. Didn’t realize what a difference a floor can make. Makes me happy every time I enter my garage! The crew was also very courteous and professional. Highly recommend.

Amazing! I called them with one days notice to start the job because we were moving and they rearranged their schedules to make sure that it got done in time. They even came on the weekend to make sure the job was completed in time.Great customer service would definitely recommend.

Ron Urban snd his crew did a terrific job on my hardwood floors. They sanded, repaired several spots, stained, sealed and polyurethanes them. They were in on a timely manner, and melted the worksite neat. They worked on the living room, dining are, hall and two bedrooms. Their price was competitive. My floors are beautiful! I would recommend Peak Floors without hesitation.

As a follow up to my earlier review, I attached before and after pictures. The darker color we chose in the "after" pictures is water popped jacobean. Love the color! (Original Review) After talking with a couple companies, we met with Ron at Peak Floors. He left us with the confidence that we were making the right choice with him and his crew. They exceeded our expectations. The floors are beautiful and have Pat and Chris in our home was a pleasure. They are all professional and personable, going above and beyond to provide the best service and product. We could not be happier with our choice to hire Peak Floors. Amazing! Very fast and clean and high quality. I highly recommend! We have refinished floors ourselves in the past but there is no comparison. Ron’s sanding was almost dust free and the floors looked so much better than we have ever been able to do with a rented sander. Our entire house was sanded and refinished in a day

Ron and his team responded quickly to my request to look at the floors and see if they were salvageable. Ron was nice enough to squeeze us into his busy schedule to accommodate our availability. He and his crew were so professional and easy to work with. They showed up on time and exceeded our expectations with the work they performed. Ron went beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was done with perfection and responded to any concerns and questions to make us feel comfortable with the process from start to finish. Our floors are so beautiful and they make our house look much cleaner, brighter and modern. The water based finish made it easy for us to stay in our home almost the whole entire time work was being done which also made it the whole project much easier to manage. Ron was very professional, conscientious, and thorough. From the start, they were there with all the answers to our questions, talked us through the steps from repairs that needed done to highlighting the wood around our fireplace and even installed in-floor solid oak floor vents which turned out beautiful. Ron and his team were terrific. He came to our house for a consultation and we talked through the process. He also visited our previous home to see what we had done in the past and helped us to know what process to use to replicate similar results. After we hired him to do the job he gave us a quote based on expected work, which involved refinishing, replacing approximately three boards and an option to replace our 5 metal vents with flush wood vents. We discovered that the main area (except the 1st floor den) had a "rustic" style oak that had veins of mineral deposits, lots of knots, etc., while the Den had prefinished (but higher grade) oak. So we worked through several stain and finish options, given that the different areas of wood took the stain differently. Moreover, the wood was contiguous through most of the main floor, so we had to blend with cherry cabinets in the kitchen and still be appropriate for other areas of the home which had built-ins in light oak and med/dark oak. They did a great job, we had samples we could match with our current home choices (which we knew we liked) and try out in the new home and they laid samples for us to compare (even between the different oak grades, which took the stain differently). For some reason, the floors that were there had been filled (probably at manufacture or install time) with wood putty in knot holes. This putty didn't take the stain well, and in many cases was jarring in context of dark knots. They went through with three stain pens and specially colored in the wood putty to blend with the stain (for no extra charge). They even came back after the work was complete to rehang doors because some of the hardware was damaged after taking them down. Peak only uses high quality products from Bona (same manufacturer from our previous job from another vendor). He recommended the high traffic "traffic" product given its in our main living space including kitchen and powder room. We agreed and he was able to give us a slight upgrade to "traffic HD" for no additional charge, which we were pleased with. After the project was done, there was wood dust present, but not so much that it wasn't something a regular house cleaning couldn't deal with. We have prefinished wood in our upstairs, if we decide to refinish it, we will call upon Ron for the work.

I own a condo in Oakland, and the parquet floor was in a bad shape and needed refinishing. Like any cautious consumer, I went on Angie's List, contacted a few floor companies with good standing and received three quotes. Peak Floors came in with the lowest bid, and yet the company's online reviews were the best among the three companies. We went ahead and chose Peak Floors. Throughout the process, Ron answered texts and calls promptly. Since I wanted a lighter shade to brighten up the unit, Ron gave me input with his expertise and knowledge. On occasions that I thought of changing mind, Ron communicated with me in patience. I especially like the fact that he uses only water-based stain and sealers, which are environmentally friendly. The final result is so beautiful and I am very pleased.

The project was not without some 'hiccups' but with a project the scale of ours it is to be somewhat expected. Any issue that came up was quickly rectified by Ron. Our expectations were extremely high and Ron (and Sean) seemed to generously go above and beyond to 'get it done right!' We couldn't be more happy with our new floors!!

My husband and I recently bought a house. Two months ago we hired a contractor to do our floors, which turned out to be a complete disaster. Floors were extremely rough, scratch marks were left from the sander, no polyurethane coat was added to finish the floor, etc.. Called another hardwood flooring specialist to fix my floors and they stated that my floors were not fixable and that they were unable to sand or stain my floors. They did not even want to take the time to attempt to fix my floors. At this point, we were feeling completely hopeless and discouraged, especially because we have a new baby on the way and needed to turn a room into a nursery. We decided to look online one more time and came across Peak Floors. Peak Floors finished our floors today and they are absolutely beautiful! BREATH TAKING. Words cannot explain our happiness. It's quite a talent that they were able to bring out the beauty and detail of our floors. We are truly amazed especially since another flooring contractor did not even atempt to touch our floors. Also a plus, the company uses all environmentally friendly products which was important to us with our small child. Thank you so much Peak Floors! Quality workmanship. Professionalism from start to finish. Was able to color match from my existing hardwood floors - they even sanded an area and put down samples of different color stains so I could see how it would match up. No dust and cleaned up work area before they left. The floor looks absolutely beautiful. I would recommend and would hire again! A++

Ron and Sean did a beautiful job refinishing the hardwood floors throughout the entire first floor of my house. The floors were filthy, old/worn, and had huge knife cuts in the floor from carpet installers. There was also water damage in one room under the windows. Some of the other companies I interviewed said that they could not fix the knife cuts, but Ron and Sean were able to fix the cuts in the floor. I was worried about dust because I have allergies, but this wasn't a problem. There was minimal dust, due to the equipment they use, and Ron and Sean cleaned up at the end of each. It is hard to find good people that you can trust to come into your home when you are at work-I had no worries about this. Peak Floors does great work-but even more than that Ron is an honest and caring person. I have been recommending Peak Floors to everyone who mentions havig their floors done.

The floors look beautiful!! We are amazed how great they look. These guys are true craftsmen. Jeff was in charge of our job, he helped with any questions we had and kept us updated on the progress. Their work was perfect, we just cannot say enough good about them. No mess or dust during the process. They had to remove old paint and varnish on the floors and layers of paint on the steps.
