It was excellent. They've been very prompt with repairs, reasonably priced, good service. When the mower is in for repair, we're able to rent a replacement if it's needed. We got the mower back before it snowed. It was excellent. We've probably used them for different repairs maybe three or four times over the summer. Reasonably priced, good turnaround, and are willing to work with the customer. Convenient, prompt service.

Very well! The provider did charge us for draining and removal of remaining gasoline, which was surprising. It did seem like a hidden cost.

I've used Penn Hills Rentals for the past three years having rented a variety of lawn equipment. I have no complaints for the previous two years. In those years my interaction has always been with the short, dark hair bespectacled roly man whose name escapes me. He has always been very helpful and nice. <br /> <br />  - - This year I've had a series of problems which led me to write a review.  This is the first year I encountered Jeff.  In May, he tried to overcharge me for mower rental. Rental price is based on 4 hours or a full day. Policy is that if the store closes prior to the 4 hours rental time, as long as the mower is returned before 9am the next day - the charge is still for 4 hours. I rented a mower a couple of hours before closing. When I returned it the next day before 9am, Jeff tried to charge me for a full day. When I objected, he said "it doesn't take 2 hours to mow a lawn". Upon further objection, he charged me for 4 hours. The next time I rented a mower, I asked the really nice guy, if the rental policy had changed. He said no. <br /> <br />  - - In June, I had a mower that worked fine except the motor shook really bad and I was afraid it would fly off.  So I took the mower to Penn Hills Rental and was told it would be 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, I inquired on the repair status and Jeff said it would be another week. A couple of hours later, I got a call that the mower was ready. I was told it just needed tightening and charged $39.99. When I got home and tried it out, the cord wouldn?t pull so I took it back. A couple of days later, I was told it was fixed at no additional charge ? the cord had simply gotten stuck when they tighten the motor. Upon first starting the mower it worked fine, until I turned it off to empty the bag. When I tried to restart it, the cord again only pulled halfway. I took it back and was told on the spot, that it needed a new carburetor that would cost a lot of money. I said no thanks, took my mower, and left. <br /> <br /> - - While my mower was being repaired, I had a couple of issues with the rentals and Jeff. There is a young kid whom usually gives out the rentals and didn't have problems with rentals when he's there. On a couple of occasions, he wasn't there. Once I rented a mower that stalled, took it back and the next one stalled as well. I ended up not mowing the lawn. The next time I rented and he wasn't there was on July 26 and the last time I rented. I asked for a heavy duty mower. Jeff was nearby and saw the mower I was renting. That mower was horrible. The blades were dull because the cut was jagged and large clumps of cut grass were left on the lawn even though I was using a bag. I didn?t feel like taking it back for a better mower and finished the lawn. When I returned the mower. Jeff was again there to handle my payment. As he was swiping my card, he asked how was the mower. I said okay (I wasn't in the mood to complain). Jeff responded with a smirk,  ?doesn't it bag really good?.  <br /> <br /> I don't intend on going back for anything. For the previous years, I gave them an "A". This year is an "F" which is why I gave an overall "C".

The items were picked up when scheduled, repaired, and returned to the home in good working order.  The only hitch was that they didn't call us when a part needed to be ordered therfore the job took a little longer (a couple of extra days, nothing bad) than we expected but the price was right and the quality of the work seems to be good.  I would definitely call on them again if needed. <br />

<p>last year my lawnmower kept stopping right after it started.  had a new sparkplug and new gas.  Turned out I needed to have the carburetor re-built.  it was in august and they were very busy so they had it for two weeks ut then it worked great.  last week it had the same problem and none of my "fix-it" friends knew what was wrong.  when I called Penn Hills, they said maybe I had just gotten a little water in my carburetor.  When I went in , they explained it, took the cap off and dumped the water and cleaned the cap,  no charge since I'd been there last August.</p> <br />

They are very good. You can't go wrong with them. They are very courteous kind and thorough. They are a good company to deal with.

Their service was wonderful. They did a very nice job. I had asked for specific work to be done, they checked it out, and called me with the estimate. The lawn mower works like a charm. The only negative is that I was not able to take in my lawn mower and snow blower at the same time. They were very easy deal with.

Went pretty good. No complaints.

Had to call a couple of times to arrange a pickup but the work was done promptly and well <br />

It went well. It was a good price for a tune-up. I am very satisfied. I thought the value of the deal was excellent. The deal made the price much lower that it would have been if I didn't have that deal through Angie's List. They were courteous and completed the work when they said they would.

Cleaned and winterized my mower

My snowblower did not work, and since it had not been used in years, I thought I would have to get a new one. Penn Hills Rental serviced the snowblower and it now works well. They did the work in just one day and were very courteous. I would definitely use their services again.

It turned out really well. They did a great job. They got it running and it’s perfect. There was a $5 charge that had to do with an environmental charge in terms with dealing with gasoline and oil. Everybody was friendly and helpful. They even loaded and unloaded the lawn mower from my vehicle for me. So I don’t have any complains.

All services were performed correctly and on time.  The owner was willing to let me use the Big Deal coupon past it's expiration date, as well.  There were no problems, although charging $50 for this service seems excessive for a $110 lawn mower. <br />

My experience with Penn Hills Rental was fine. There were no issues at all. It was a good value for what I payed.

They charge $25 for the pickup. Then they do the service and bring it back. The price is fair. They have been great. I might have to wait depending on when the equipment is dropped off because it might be the heavy time of the season.  I think if I dropped off a snow blower today, it might be ready in a week. I bought an Angie's List Big Deal for the lawn mower that they just picked up. I have nothing to be concerned about regarding the quality of the service. They are right around the corner from me.
