We’ve used them several times, and have been happy every time. A couple cleanings ago we noticed something funny on the camera we set up for our dog while we are away: the amount of care they gave to him as well. They were nice, gentle, and loving to our stubborn family member, even when he was in the way of them getting the job done. They only come to Williamsburg once a month, but we make sure they come by every time they are down here.

Two young women appeared - an hour early, but no complaints there! - and worked diligently and methodically for hours on all three floors of my townhome.  When they finished they had me inspect their work before they were paid.  The townhome, occupied for five years, looked as though no one had ever lived there or had ever used any of the applicances.  It was that clean.  The new homeowner, upon inspection the next day in preparation for closing on the property, was delighted. <br />

You should look for it better in your house before posting this insane information about our company. We never received any information about this. I believe, because you had a balance due and could not afford the service any longer you came up with this crazy story. Anyone can check any police department in the entire Virginia and the BBB and they will see that we NEVER had any problems of this nature before. Please remove this post. This is the least you could do to apologize!"

SINCE APRIL 2010, Perfect Cleaning has serviced my single family home on a bi-weekly basis (every other Thursday) but today, I feel compelled to write a candid report about my recent experience with this company. <br /> <br />A few points at the outset: <br /> <br />1. Perfect Cleaning crew never arrived at my home in a company vehicle, nor were they uniformed as advertised on their website <br /> <br />2. Perfect Cleaning DOES NOT employ is own crews! They subcontract to others. This is what I was told by the owner, Daniel, whom I've never met in person but spoke to him on the phone and on numerous occasion. Initially, the crews assigned to my house consisted of 4 people, but gradually they dwindled down to just 2 cleaning ladies and lesser cleaning time. <br /> <br />Initially, I contacted Perfect Cleaning in April of 2010 for a one-time cleaning, but I was impressed with their service and agreed to contract with them for a bi-weekly housecleaning at the cost of $89.00 per service call. I also handed their crew leader, Andresia, a key to my home so they could come in and do their work if I happened not to be at home. I paid the first three services with checks, but then arranged with Daniel (owner) to debit my household credit card on the Tuesday following each service. This arrangement was kept in great parts, but many times they debited my household account on the day of service which resulted in problems, When I complained to the owner, Daniel, he was very courteous and apologetic and promised to rectify the issue and insisted on my accepting 3 service calls at no cost. Also, Daniel was very accommodating if I asked him to skip one debit and bill together after the next service call. <br /> <br />The service was generally satisfactory, although I saw many different faces coming and going in the crews servicing my house. The relationship was cordial and amicable, to the point that I did not nitpick for minor works they neglected, or when one of their crew members accidentally damaged one of my external hard drives with ultra sensitive and invaluable intellectual properties on it, I chose not to file against Perfect Cleaning for hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages but went out of my way to find a forensic service to salvage the majority of my data and limit Perfect Cleaning's exposure to a mere $500. Again, Daniel was very apologetic and insisted that I accept 5 service calls free of charge but I refused and told him there was no reason for him giving me anything for free. <br /> <br />In November of 2013 while I was dining at a restaurant with some friends, I received a call from Alma (office manager?) at Perfect Cleaning telling me that they had not been able to debit my card for the past two payments and wanted to know if there was a problem with the card. I said not to my knowledge and promised to check and call her back IF I detected any problem. She told me they'll book two payments next and I told him that was fine. I did not receive any further calls or correspondence from Perfect Cleaning after that call and they booked several payments between November and December 2013; nor did I see any problem with the card beyond the possibility that they might have tried to debit again prematurely. <br /> <br />They were supposed to show up at my home on Thursday, January 2, 2014 for the scheduled service but they did not. Nor did they on the following Thursday, January 9th. I tried to contact Daniel but after the 2nd ring my call went into his voicemail, so I left him a message inquiring if and when the crew would show up. I never received a call back, so I tried two more times with the same result of my call going into his voicemail after the 2nd ring; a clear indication that he had blocked my number! I tried calling their office, both on 804 number and the toll free, but the calls disconnected. After repeated tries, I finally spoke with another woman, who told me the I was scheduled but my services have been placed on hold because they have not received any payment from me "for a long long time and hd left many phone messages for me which I never returned!" <br /> <br />I was baffled and told her that I have NOT received any messages from them and that I ALWAYS return all my messages. I also checked my household account online and e-mailed them a list of the payments they had debited throughout the year thru December 2013. She promised to ask Daniel to call me back (which he never did) and also said that Alma would call me back for the accounting purposes. Alma called me back to tell me that in all 4 payments at different times between September and November had not been received for the total amount of $356.00 She also claimed to have left not "many many" but one more voicemail for me, which I could not locate when Ii checked the record of all the incoming messages. <br /> <br />I have always paid my bills to Perfect Cleaning for the past 4 years; but for the supposedly missing 4 payments, I received neither a phone call, nor an e-mail or letter of a bill and not even hand note or a mention by their crews! I am most disappointed and dismayed by this sudden change of direction and the abject lack of professionalism. The mistreatment I received was puzzling and odd, and their lack of communication and ignorance were more than I would tolerate from any company. I have asked my bank for a list of all payments paid to this company since 2010 and if there are indeed missing payments, I will pay them. Meanwhile I have asked them to return my home key to me as i will seek another home service and will not re-use Perfect Cleaning ever again. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

"This customer always changed his schedule at the least minute. He lied about we breaking his external drive and that it would cost $5,000.00 to retrieve the information just to collect money from our insurance company. We send Mr. [member name removed] to collections for having a balance due of almost $1,000.00. We had to send him to collections from unpaid balance and he got upset. After 5 years of patiently serving this customer that is what we got. This is very sad. Angie's list should investigate both sides before people can place denigrating post like this."

Very good job.  They have been cleaning my place for almost two years.  I have had the same lead person most of that time (they send two people to clean each time) and they are on time 90% of the time.  Occasionally they are early/late +/- one hour, which is no big deal to me.  I have allowed them access to my place while I am not there and I have had absolutely no problems.  They will clean whatever I ask them to. <br />

They go beyond the basics and clean everything (toilets, tubs, sinks, carpet, dusting all surfaces, etc. etc.). They even happily will clean the deck furniture if we ask them. <br /> We have a bi-weekly schedule with them and they are always prompt and curious and friendly. On rare occasions they have had to change the regular schedule but they have always  given notice and worked with us to find an alternative date. When we have to cancel due to vacations, there is never any push back or concern; just a question on when they can come next. <br /> Highly recommend <br />

The tech arrived early and got right to work. Our carpet looks brand new! The dryer vent was cleaned out quickly as well. Highly recommend. Prices were half what the other companies charge. Look for coupons as well. <br />

We live in a large apartment and hired Perfect Cleaning to do a one time cleaning for us.  The two ladies that came to do the work were on time, pleasant, and they did an excellent job.  Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were wiped down, blinds were dusted, and they even cleaned in between our washer and dryer because I had offhandedly mentioned that I had no cleaning tools that would reach the area.  All the usual household cleaning was done to our satisfaction as well.  They made our apartment look and smell wonderful.  I had asked for someone to give me a call 30 minutes or so before the team got to our apartment and the owner (can't remember his name) was very helpful and personally called me to let me know that the cleaning team was on their way.

Overall, the service was probably pretty average for most cleaning services.  It wasn't the best cleaning in the world, I know they weren't at my house all that long, but for the money it was nice to have the house dusted, vacuumed and the bathrooms cleaned every other week.  I finally had to make the decision to discontinue my service after the team set off my alarm today (for the second time).  I have no idea why - I provided a code that they picked.  I guess it's a new crew that wasn't given appropriate information.  The first time it happened, I was at my desk so no worries.  Today, I wasn't available so the police went out to the house and I had to validate it was o.k. for them to be there.  There were also lots of other little incidents that over time added up:  one time I came home and there were lights on and the water was running in my kitchen sink.  The sink didn't look completely cleaned.  My husband would leave his glasses on the coffee table next to the case.  They  would put his glasses back in the case, but picked them up by the lenses, so when he put them on he would see a big thumbprint.  The house often looked half ransacked with pictures askew, etc.  A couple of cleanings ago, I came home to find that my toilet had been used but not flushed.  These kinds of things strike me as thoughtless, careless, and less than professional.  In addition, they NEVER managed to set the alarm when they left the house which we repeatedly requested.  So over the approximately 15 months, it just got to the point where the little things added up and I wasn't satisfied.  When I would call the office to complain, they were always very apologetic and things might improve for a cleaning or two, but overall this has become more of a pain than a help.

We were looking for a cleaning service to come every 4-6wks, called and got an estimate for an initial cleaning and monthly service. Asked if they'd be willing to work with us on the scheduling to try for every 6 weeks instead of monthly, and was told that can't do that. Although I felt the initial cleaning was pretty expensive, I felt like because we had just moved in it would be worthwhile. One thing I was disappointed in, was that (unlike our old cleaning service in maryland) we never met the owner and only the workers. They had no idea how much was quoted and were done in less than 3 hours. They failed to do a number of things my wife has specifically asked for like cleaning ALL the baseboards, moving items to vaccuum underneath them, and cleaning all the windows. We assumed for the amount of money we were spending those things should have been included.

"This is the most unfair comment we ever heard from any customer. This member called few days before his next monthly appointment to try to renegotiate the price for his monthly service. We refused because we had already given him a discount for being an Angie's list's customer. He and his wife felt that we were charging too much for his monthly service for his 2,600 sq. ft. 5 bedrooms home. We only charged $138.00. and we believe to be much below the market price for this size of house on a monthly cycle. The initial cleaning took the ladies (two) almost 5 hours, not 3 hours, to leave the house cleaned according to our standard of cleaning which is very high. We would like to note that he called more than 3 weeks after the initial service to try to renegotiate the price. Initially he did not mention he was not happy with our service. If he was not really satisfied he would have called us with few days, if not on the same day. We always do the best we can to work with every one's budget, and did the best we could for him."

It was very good, the first two girls were great and the second weren't. I have dogs and they were all kind of scared of dogs and that is really why I don't have them anymore. I hated having to leave with my animals overtime they came to clean my house. the girls themselves were really good and I couldn't complain on them at all.

It was not perfect. Once I actually got it cleaned it was fine. I feel like sometimes there is a tendency to treat Groupon and Living Social customers a certain way. They said they would be here by 11:00. I work so when they didn't show up I left. Then I get a call at 11:50 and they are at my home. So we reschedule for the next day and I reminded them of the Groupon or Living Social deal so they would need to cover two people. Then I get a call saying the lady is going to be two hours late as she is running behind. Finally they are to arrive at 5:00 the next day and then I get a call at 4:45 so have to rush home because they are there. It was a big hassle and my partner who is also having his home cleaned, is having similar problems with them.

"We believe that this member should be sure where she got the service from before posting a complaint in the first place. If she got through Group on, discuss the problem through them. If it is Living Social, the same. We have researched, we could not find this customer in our list of current or previous customer. Also, we never tell our customers that our team will be at his or her house at an exact time. There can be a delay in the previous home or in the traffic. We would have said between 11:00 and 12:00pm or 11:30 and 12:30, this is our procedure. If the customer is not going to be home in the frame of time planned for our arrival she or he must provide a way our team to enter her or his house so they can start working. Again, we believe this is a mistake from her part."

I requested a quote for cleaning services through the Perfect Cleaning website request form.  I received a response promptly - within 24 hours.  The price quoted was very reasonable, especially in light of the good reviews others left on Angies List.  Upon contacting the company by phone to verify the price quoted, they confirmed that the quote would be honored based on what I told them.  They sent a team of 2 cleaners out within a week to do the initial cleaning.  These gals worked hard!  They were at my house for a good 4 hours, working diligently the entire time.  When they left, the house was sparkling.  I scheduled them to begin twice a month cleanings, and each time they come the house just keeps on getting more clean.  They do all the basics extremely well, plus add the little extras.  For example, they have vacuumed my sofas, made the kids' beds, and thoroughly cleaned the baseboards and chair rails.  I'm impressed.  The price is extremely reasonable, which was my incentive for hiring a cleaning service in the first place.  I'm a satisfied customer.
