This is my second time using Perfection Inspection to review a property for me.  Feel free to look back in earlier 2015 reviews to see my comments about a property NOT purchased on Sequoia in Corvallis.  Jim's report saved me from a true money pit there. <br /> Today Jim came to look over a house I have been living in for 6 months.  There are LOTS of small problems.  The builder, "HH", is a major builder here in the Northwest.  Unbeknownst to me until too late, these homes are thrown up very fast and without regard for owner happiness.  As a disabled senior I sank all I had into a home to leave for my son.  I have lost a lot of sleep over this purchase and have sincerely wondered about our physical safety living here. <br /> Jim, as usual, is a fountain of knowledge, delivered in a professional and pleasant demeanor.  Together we went over the specifics of what I have found living here, and then Jim went over the whole house, from roof to crawl space, as he normally does. As he worked, we discuss from time to time --  specifics of what I showed him, things he found, how these matters relate to code, whether the item(s) need to be addressed immediately or can wait a bit, dealing with the builder, etc. <br /> I feel fortified with useful knowledge and supported in the tasks ahead, particularly dealing with the builder.  Jim is worth every penny and I should have used him before purchasing this home.  However, the home is still under warranty and I am so glad I called Jim for help, again.  I don't know anyone else who can even come close to providing the level of service, the technical expertise, and the use of technology to back up their findings the way Jim does. <br /> Perfection Inspection receives my whole-hearted recommendation and thanks for service, results, and support.  You might pay $100 less with someone else, but you will be missing out.  Of that I am quite certain. <br /> <br />

Jim was prompt, friendly, respectful, and very thorough with his inspection. He encouraged us to follow him around and explained what he was seeing as he went. His philosophy was that now that we had fallen in love with the house it was his job to tell us every possible thing that was wrong. <br /> Fortunately there was nothing major, but Jim neither glossed over what needed to be fixed, nor made every dent seem like a major repair was needed. As first time home buyers we were reassured by his straightforward attitude and honesty. <br /> I would recommend Perfection Inspection without reservation.  <br />

This was a very thorough inspection with a lot of detail.  We have put our home on the market and wanted to address significant issues prior to negotiations.  This provided us with the list of items to address. We gave it to our contractor who then made the repairs.  We now have certification of the inspection and the repair work. <br />

I have used Jim for two house inspections now, and he was super professional, very thorough and more knowledgeable than most inspectors I've met.  If there is something wrong with the house, he will find it!  Would definitely recommend to friends and family! <br />

O M G!! Jim is amazing!!  Such a nice man. So thorough, and I learned so much following him around for over 3 hours of inspection.  To heck with those 45 min quickie inspections!  This was an older home that on the surface looks pretty good, but after the inspection I estimated $25-30K of big repairs needed.  Jim saved both my sanity and my money.  So polite!  I swear he must have said "thank you for employing me!" 5 or 6 times.  Hard working.  I will never look at a house the  same way again after watching him work.  I would truly give more stars if that were possible.  He's that good!  And I don't gush except about my son lol.   I did give 4 stars for cost but in all honesty his efforts were worth every penny.  Unless you are buying a brand new home and feel secure that everything you are looking at is 100% solid, Jim is the guy to call. <br /> Super highly recommended.  Would absolutely use his services again as needed. <br />

They don't get any better -  Jim is an awesome home inspector.  He immediately responded to our call for his service, and was able to accommodate our urgent timeframe. He was extremely thorough in his analysis, provided us with a 70+ page inspection report, and identified issues he discovered that warranted attention prior to closing.  His use of thermal imaging is a must in Oregon. We highly recommend Jim! <br />

He did a very good job and he probably saved us $10,000 on the house with things that needed to be done now or in the future. We renegotiated the price as a result and we would definitely use him again. Would highly recommend him.

.Report was 47 pages long and included thermal imaging to check insulation and structure.  Included note on clean up of crawl space and he (Jim) even gathered up debris and moved it next to the access hatch for easy removal.  On time with a great attitude and allowed questions during the process.  I recommend him to anyone needing an in depth look at their house. <br />

It was awesome! I like getting as many details as possible about what I'm buying so I was there for the whole inspection. The thermal camera is cool, of course. Great attitude, and very helpful. I talked to him about various construction things I was thinking of doing, and he gave some hints as to what to think about...to make sure this or that is done before finishing the basement, the cost/benefit analysis of getting insulation put in the walls depending on how long you live there. Just expert perspective that is nice to get, above and beyond the inspection, which was flawless. Not only is he knowledgeable, he is really passionate about what he does, which makes a big difference to me. <br />

Jim showed up on time and was very friendly. He was very knowledgeable and open to any questions we had. He did a great job explaining all the issues with the house and how much repair he thought it might be. I would highly recommend him to any one else. <br />

It went extremely well. He was VERY thorough and provided pictures of all sections of the house. The first inspection was done without us there, and he e-mailed a lengthy, comprehensive report which we could review with our realtor. He was very knowledgeable about electricity and HVAC issues, plus the placement of carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. If you're purchasing a home from far away or in town, I would highly recommend Jim.

I booked the inspection through his website, http://perfectioninspectioninc.com/ <br /> That was very easy and paid online also. Since I was unable to attend the inspection Jim called me the night before the inspection and answered all my questions about it. within 24 hours after the inspection I got the report emailed to me. It was 60 pages long and very thorough and very easy to read. In the report he included a video tour of the roof, photo's of all cosmetic issues, maintenance issues, items needed repair. Also there were thermal images showing wall studs and insulation, water leaks from faucets and drains. after the inspection Jim was available to answer the questions i had. While he is not the cheapest inspection out there, He does the best job. This was money well spent and if i ever need another inspection I will use him again. <br />

It isn't the cheapest inspection I've ever gotten, but it was very thorough.

He was recommended to us by our real estate agent. What stuck out to us is how he did thermal imaging to see if there was any damage to the house. During the inspection, he allowed for us to walk around with him and explained everything to us. After we had some repairs, we had him come back and complete another inspection and it turned out just as great! He was very good, personable, helpful, and timely. His reports were really, very detailed. He was great!

My realtor recommended him to us. He is the only one in the city who can do Infrared leak detection.  He is very responsive and I can’t say anything bad about him or his services. He is very thorough and honest. We are very happy with his services.

Our real estate agent recommended Jim to us as she used his services before. He is a little more expensive, but is well worth the cost. He was able to fit us into his schedule and accommodated our time crunch and completed the inspection in the evening. He was very meticulous. He had three different pairs of shoes. One pair was for outside, another was for inside, and another was for when he went up in the attic or the crawlspace. The work was fabulous! We thought that Jim was amazingly thorough. It took him four hours to complete the work. He let my husband go beside him and explained everything. His report was 46 pages long with photographs. The areas of concern were highlighted in red ink so they were easy to be seen. I would recommend his services to anyone.

He showed up when he said he would and completed it in the time frame he said he would. He was very professional and very willing to communicate. He actually talked with us during the inspection instead of only providing the written report. They did a good job and the work was fine. The quality was very good.

The work turned out fine. Jim Allhiser was very responsive when we first contacted them. He was punctual and very communicative on the time expectations that everything would take. When he came out, he was very professional and provided a lot of information as he was completing the inspection. He clearly explained everything and the cost was very reasonable. I was very impressed with the experience.

It inspection went great, he pointed out and documented everything, from the small stuff like the closet door that  needed to be adjusted so that the door would shut properly to the big stuff like there not being enough vents in roof. And the report we received the next morning was just amazing, is included details of everything he inspected the night before as well as pictures. The report was well organized and easy to read.  If I ever buy another house or need another home inspection I know who I am going to call he was just fabulous! I can't say enough how detail oriented he was and I know he didn't miss a thing. <br />

We hired Jim to inspect our house before purchase. I have hired inspectors before but Jim was the most thorough. Even though he had inspected the same house for other buyers months earlier, he still inspected everything. He checked every single outlet, crawled through the attic and crawl space and looked at everything imaginable. He also was great about explaining what he found and educating us about problems we could encounter. He sent us a very detailed report on the same day. On top of that  Jim was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Perfection Inspection and would definitely use him again.  <br />

If you want to really know about the house you are buying, or what shape your house is in before selling - call Jim. He is professional, thorough and honest. We have had Jim check two homes for us, if we need another inspection - Jim will be the one we call. <br />

Jim is extremely thorough and detailed oriented and has all the tools. The house we looked at had some dry-rot in the second floor which was extended over the first floor (cantelivered) and also caught some dry wall repair in the ceiling of the first floor but with the thermal imaging we were able to determine that this was an old leak that had been repaired and not a current issue. <br /> He took time to explain anything I wanted to know. <br /> He also caught some serious isues with the deck/balacony.  Overall I was very happy with the detail work, the turnaround on the comprehensive report (he had the report the next morning)  and lots of feed back on general home maintenance. <br /> Maybe the best referral was that my realator told me ahead of time that he was a particular picky inspector. <br /> <br />

It went great. He found more than others would have and was very informative. I had three different crawl spaces and he got down and checked each one of them out. He uses a thermal scanner that was able to see moisture in the walls and ceilings. It was very helpful to see where there were leaks and where there were not. He was knowledgable able home electrical, plumbing, drywall, appliances, roofs etc etc. It was a great experience and i would highly recommend him. <br />
