Phipps Painting

Horrible! You can see the old wall color through every wall they painted. When brought to his attention he just shrugged it off and acted like we were seeing things. They did not mask anything so there are horrible cut-line around everything they painted. They did not cover anything so they got paint splatters on our furniture and floors. They cleaned their brushes in our sinks getting paint on everything. They sprayed there brushes and tools of using our garden hose, spraying paint all over two of our windows and window screens. They showed up late and left early everyday, making a 3 day job a 5 day. Worst contracted work I ever hired. We need to have everything they painted repainted!

Jay had painted the exterior of our home and he did a good job on the interior.

Wonderfully. the process was very pleasant and professional. Jay took the time to explain the process to me and even gave me some great expert tips on how to maintain and touch up. His attention to detail and pride in his work shows with his job. He was very efficient and got the job done quickly without compromising quality. I will certainly use him again and refer him to friends.

It went very well. The entire Phipps Painting team were puntucal and professional.

Awful. Can still see old paint through most walls. Splatters on my carpet, hard wood floors, porch wall and window screens from cleaning brushes.did not cover any furniture before painting. 2 day job took 4 days because they would shoe up at 11am and leave at 3pm. Never taped anything so details are very sloppy. I could keep going but not worth my time.

Totally Awesome results. All area cleaned up and not a speck of paint left on any surface where is was not to be. All trash taken out and windows even cleaned.

Jay Phipps and crew are always punctual, professional, as well as all being skilled painters. His company's prices have consistently been the best. I have used Jay's company for various area painting needs throughout several years, and have consistently recommended his services to others without a second thought. They, too, are pleased with his work and prices. I will continue to recommend Jay Phipps for any painting needs.

Prep work and/or pressure washing was not completed properly although Jay Phipps said it was. Responsiveness to problem was extremely poor. It took months. I had the house painted the end of February. I paid extra to have my driveway and sidewalks pressure cleaned. That was the first thing I noticed was it had not be done although it was insisted that it had. Once Jay came by, he had to admit my sidewalks were the same color as my neighbors which showed no pressure washing had been done. Once that was completed, my sidewalks were a beautiful beige color, like they should be and not the sad ugly gray color of my neighbors. Then a in just a few months I began to see the paint peeling. I called Jay who stated he was suffering from sciatica and was bed ridden. I certainly understood he was unabl to come right away. I waited a few weeks and when I didn't here Fromm Jay I began to email him. I was told he would be by, then that he was sick, then that he was away. I contacted Scott paint to make certain there was not a bad batch of paint. The rep came out and stated he would contact Jay to come fix the problem because the paint was fine. Finally, in September, Jay and a crew showed up and scrapped and painted the spots that were missed and needed to be fixed. I am sad that it took so long to fix the problems.

I left town 6/16/16 for 5 days and when I returned I parked outside for 2 more days to make sure the floor was dry. In July the woodwork was peeling again in places and the garage floor was starting to peel. I emailed Mr Phipps and informed him. Since the beginning of July, I have called and/or emailed Mr Phipps several times, he would tell me he wasted up at another job and would get back to me (he did not), was ill and would get back to me (he did not), was out of town and would contact me on August 10. I have spoke to Tabitha at Scott's headquarter and she sent Cliff out to check the garage floor. Cliff came out told me that Mr Phipps had not brought in any paint peeling to be tested. Cliff also told me he was going to call Mr Phipps and recommend that he return and correct the problem. Cliff sent me a letter stating that the floor need to be clean and free of contaminants, 1st coat should be Aquaseal or 2 coats of the epoxy. The pamphlet states the same thing. They did nothing but move things around and paint the floor. I also spoke to Al Culp at Sherwin Williams (I did not tell him who the painter was) and he stated that any professional painter knows that the "ProClassic" did have a primer in it but it would not correct the problem with the woodwork that it needed to be sanded first before the paint applied. I would appreciate any help you can give me as I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and now can not afford to pay someone else to correct this. It's worse now than before I hired Mr Phipps.

The work was precise and careful and the living room looks beautiful. I will definitely be hiring Phipps Painting again.

I am a Southern lady and I know a gentleman when I meet one. Jay is just that, in addition to being a magician with a paintbrush in his hands. He and his crew did a magnificent job and I am very, very happy with the results.

As always excellent job. Top quality paint and painters. On time and on schedule. Jay and his crew do excellent work and always go the extra mile. Jay has done many jobs for us and they are always perfect.

When we moved into our new home, the previous owner had painted the walls very dark in a large part of the house, including the ceilings.  Also, we were not too crazy about the colors the other rooms were painted, so we requested quotes from 2 Angie's list businesses.  Phipps bid came in about $900 less than the higher bid, so I hired Jay and his team to paint the inside of my home. I was having surgery on Monday, so I asked them if they could begin on Tuesday, since I was going to take the remainder of the week off.  Despite it being Jay's birthday, they showed up as planned on Tuesday.  The crew was very nice and did a wonderful job.  Upon completion both my wife and I were very happy with the job they did and the new colors helped brighten our home and make it look bigger.  Job well done. <br />

<p>     We called Phipps Painting to give us an estimate to paint the outside of our house including the front door.  Also included was an area  of flooring at our front door entrance of about 6 feet square.  He sent me the estimate and we agreed to the price.  I told him that we had to have the colors approved by the HOA and we would get in touch after we got the their approval.</p> <p>     We picked out colors from a big box store and gave him the numbers from the back of the color.  He used a different store to purchase paint since he thought he could get a better quality.  He was able to match the colors that we wanted even though it was a different store.</p> <p>     The two men arrived on time every day.  These men are truly gentlemen in the real sense, very polite and courteous.  At the end of each day they cleaned up the work area and put tools away.  There was never a mess for us to look at or deal with.  The work   was done quickly and they didn't abandon our job to go to another.  They stayed with our house until the job was finished.  This     had not always been the case with other workers.  Never was there any mess or spill area, We have some bushes close to the house but our bushes were covered and protected.  </p> <p>     I would absolutely call Phipps Painting again for any job and not have any worries about the quality of the work.  They are the best!<br /> <br /></p> <br />

He was fast. There was no mess and everything was put back into it's original place. <br />

Jay and his team worked proficiently and in a timely manner to get the entire job done the right way. Our home is now 10x more inviting now thanks to their hard work. They were very reasonable cost-wise for what we needed done and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Let's just say, to repair the damage to my walls as a result of their work, is costing me over $3,000. They did, however, refund me $200 (big deal). They did said they would come back and repair damage and I declined as I had no faith in their ability to do the job properly. Would not recommend them to anyone. <br />
