Everything went very well. I made my initial call to Mr. Dozier based on previous excellent reports on Angie' List, but I happened to reach him at a time when his helper had left for a shipyard job and he was poised to interview potential employees. He described that he also does background checks so that he could feel confident when taking a new employee to a customer's home. He offered to refer me to a competitor since it would take a few days for him to complete the hiring process, but I explained that there was no emergency and that I was willing to wait for quality work, as I had had a bad experience with a different electrician. Hold me that he would give me a good price because I was wiling to be patient. He gave me 10% off the hourly cost and charged me just his cost for need items like new boxes. <br />

Made 2 trips (with different employees) to try to identify my problem, but was unsuccessful in both attempts. Didn't fix my problem, so he didn't charge me anything. Really, not very professional. <br />

"P.E.S. was called to Mr. (member name removed) 's was told he had a problem with his perimeter flood lights & a light in the utility room. That particular day I was trying out a new hire and found that the trouble was in the attic or the ceiling to the carport. I explained to Mr. (member name removed) that due to an injury I was unable to go in the attic myself & the new hire did not have the skills to safely locate & repair the problem. I told Mr. (member name removed) that I would have one of my Journeyman electricians come back with me the next day. The next day Mrs . (member name removed) told me this problem had been going on for months but on his initial call he led me to believe this trouble had just started. My Journeyman went in the attic & saw that there was no way to access the carport ceiling. The problem is a loose connection or an open circuit in an area that is not accessible without removing the carport ceiling. I ask Mr. (member name removed) if the carport rebuild that had been completed months ago had been permit by the contractors who did this work & he said he thought so. I do not think it had been permitted & he could not recall the name of the contractor who did the rebuild nor the electrical contractor. NO inspector in the City of Mobile would have passed this job. It is a violation of the City code & the National Electric Code. Both codes dictate an access to this area. This is a fire code. I explained to Mr. (member name removed) that is was not possible for us to access the area & he needed to have the building contractor come back & create an access to the area & if he had any problems the City of Mobile would have the contractor correct this problem. I told Mr. (member name removed) that we would be glad to come back & correct the electrical problem when we could gain access to the area. I did not charge Mr. (member name removed) for the approximate 2 hours spent troubleshooting this problem. Before we left Mrs. (member name removed) allowed that they had other electricians look at this problem before us."

Service man was prompt, professional. Said if he needed to come back for additional work when the central air systme was being installed he would include the service charge into any additional charges. <br /> I recommended this place to my (elderly) mother in law and she was exceptionally pleased with this service. It would have been easy for a dishonest repair person to have overcharged or performed unnecessary work. <br />

How did it go? Considering our problem began without any warning and was unlike anything I've ever encountered in my 42 years of home ownership, I needed someone who could "hunt down" the source of my electrical problems. This could have been a time consuming project and cost me MUCH more than what I was charged. Turns out Mr Dozier has over forty years experience and he used it all to systemically trace down my problem Considering the myriad of symptoms occurring, he had to sort thru them before he could determine what to check. After going thru my home's interior, he arrived at the house's outside connection - the meter box, where one of my circuit breakers was failing. He then determined that further problems were on the Alabama Power side of the system and shortcut the interaction with Alabama Power for me by what I consider to be hours of frustrating telephone time. He waited until the linesman from Alabama Power arrived and handled the explanation of the problem, saving me additional frustration and time. I'm not an electrician and could have never solved this problem myself. We couldn't cook, use many of the rooms which had no electricity and in the summer heat of Mobile, we had no A/C! If he wasn't honest, he could have taken much more time than he did to "solve" my problem and pad his billing. He also could have left me to contact Alabama Power and leave me to deal with Alabama Power's bureaucracy. He did neither; he did his job fairly and honestly. I cannot ask for more. They promptly diagnosed the problem on 7-5-13. The part was ordered and installed the day it was received. I will definitely use them again if I have a need for an electrician. <br />

I wasn't at home during the service but my brother said that they arrived on time, were very polite and courteous, and finished the job in a timely manner. They found the problem and fixed it within a hour. The price quoted to me was very accurate. I would definitely recommend them if you have any electrical work to be done.

He was working with an apprentice who had limited skills, who had to be talked through everything. I felt as if the job took longer than it should have. I was able to negotiate the price with him for that reason. He was supposed to give me a quote for another job, but I did not hear back from him.

"The customer was told this man was an apprentice. We located & repaired a dangerous plug-this was required morally & legally. We also repaired 2 circuits that had not worked in 10 years. We checked all the work the customer wanted a bid on & she complained about other contractors who had damaged &or broke things in her home; I told her she could have made them repair or replace them.. The quote was e-mailed to her with a copy of the paid invoice; it was delivered, not returned. I charge $85.00 for a service call which covers the first hour we are there. We did NOT negotiate the price! I only charged $120.00 for the almost 2 hours we were there & this included materials & I felt this was fair price. When I left she was satisfied with our work & gave me her son's business card as he ia an attorney & mine had pasted away. We appreciate all feedback, but please refer to our other reports for a more accurate picture of our work. I withdraw my bid as I do not choose to do business with this customre any longer."

Everything with him turned out to be wonderful. I spent about $800 on that work. I decided to use them because they were on the list and was on the list and was on top of the list for what I was looking for. He was very personable, thorough and professional. He will not do what is not legal and he fixed something that another company did that was not legal. I will be using him again tomorrow.

Very satisified with prompt, professional service. They came same day I called, very knowledgeable, made repair and did NOT leave a mess behind. They discovered doorbell wasn't working because another electrician from a different company had knocked wiring (not directly to doorbell) lose when installing lights. Very pleasant Master Electricians, with proof of professional license. Would definately hire again!

They were great! The work was done correctly and to Code, They left no trace that they had been here. One worker inadvertently had taken our flashlight when they left, and he came back to return it the next day! We've found the electrician we'll call whenever we need one again.
