company was responsive during the negotiations.  They changed the pick up date a few times.  When the items were delivered; some things were damaged.  When I contacted the company they denied the damages and was extremely rude and unprofessional.  They refused to work with me.  <br />

In the middle of October 2012, I searched Angie's list for a mover to pick up a large, round table from my mother's house in Ithaca, New York to take to Potomac Falls, Virginia.  I live in Florida but was visiting her to assist with this. I chose this company based on the reviews on Angie's List. The company did not do what they agreed to do in their contract that I signed and sent to them. <br /> My initial conversation with Antoine, in October, was very pleasant and he said they could do the move for $500 if I could wait until a truck was going to be in the Ithaca area.  I told him that would be acceptable if it could be picked up by the end of November and delivered before Christmas Day. He agreed and I received a contract from the company stating a PICKUP DATE of 11/30/2012, between 12 and 3pm. The DELIVERY DATE said TBD, however, there is a note to customers that says Attention: Allow 7-10 business days for all interstate move delivery (which would put delivery no later than December 17). I gave them a deposit of $250 plus a $30 processing fee (which had not been mentioned previously). <br /> On November 29, now back at my home in Florida, I called the company to confirm the time for pickup the next day so that I could alert my mother. Antoine told me that there was a problem with the closing of the house they were moving (this was why he said they could offer the move at $500) and that they would pick up between December 5 and 10th. I asked him if the table would still be delivered before Christmas and he assured me it would. He told me he would call me prior to that window to give me the exact date and time. <br />  On December 5, I called Antoine again to ask for the delivery date. After repeated calls and conversations and promises of return calls by specified times  (none of which were received nor shown on my phone as being missed even though Antoine said he made them), I finally reached Antoine on the morning of December 7. He told me that the table would be picked up on December 19 or 20th. When I expressed my alarm at yet another change, he said it would still be delivered before Christmas. I stressed to him that pick up was more important than delivery (as I had expressed in my initial emails which said pickup was needed ASAP and delivery within two months (which would make it prior to Christmas). His pleasant manner disappeared and I ended the call. <br /> I called back  to speak to a manager and was given Kim, who listened to my story and was very compassionate and helpful. This was on December 7. She promised me the table would be picked up by December 11th--and it was. They had a local moving company pick it up and store it until a truck would be in the area. While I was disappointed that the table did not arrive before Christmas, I was delighted that it was picked up so that my mother's agitation and frustration (as well as mine) could be relieved on that point. There were several delivery dates promised by Kim but weather and other issues interfered with a truck being in that vicinity to get the table from storage.  <br /> It was delivered a day later than the last promised date (arrived on February 1st) and it made the trip fine and looks great.  Kim also has indicated that she is sending me a check for $100 to make amends for the lengthy process this took.  I do not know how this company does on whole house moves but I do not think I would use them for something small like this unless there were absolutely NO parameters for when the furniture is needed.  Because they have to tag on to a larger move, there may always be issues with the dates. <br />

Pick Up & Go Moving International were really helpful in getting everything done right away and they did everything possible to get people here right away to move my neighbor. Very timely, responsive, good communication, and follow through. Just all over very professional experience. I felt I was being well looked after. The price was a little higher than I would have liked, but it was probably the best price they were going to give us. They were very responsive.

The movers were on time and very professional, wrapped all the delicate items very well, took them no time at all to load the truck. Unloading went just as well, they were very accommodating placing my belongings where I needed them. This was my second move using Pick Up and Go. Although I dont plan on moving anytime soon, I would definitely use their services again.

Met with Antoine for preview and estimate. He told us how much time and $$ he thought it would take. We received paperwork from their office to sign and review. We were going to do our own packing, so we asked if they could deliver boxes well in advance so we could take our time packing. Boxes were supposed to be delivered on a Monday, but no one showed up. After 2 or three days I tried to call the numbers on the Pick up and Go folder he gave us, and got no answer, not even a machine to leave a message, for any of the numbers we had been given. Finally Antione called a day or two later and said they were moving their business during the time I had been trying to reach them, and that's why they were out of reach. Seems like they should have a forwarding service or something in place during that time for people to reach them!! Antione apologized for that as well as not delivering the boxes, so a full week later after he said he would, he dropped boxes off so we could begin packing. After those two hiccups, the move went well - they were there on time, the movers were pleasant and careful. I think the move took longer than they had estimated, but not by too much. Overall, it was a good, but not exceptional experience. <br />

This review is a revision to incident reference 121205-002595 <br /> I need to revise the previous review as there was a break down in communication due to the occurance of 2 hurricanes (isaac and Sandy) that did not allow for myself and the company to settle questions and take care of any problems that occurred. My main issue was an overpayment above the agreed upon price. I wrote the first review after not getting through to the company <br />  who, unbeknownst to me, had lost phone service due to hurricane Sandy. After turning in the first review, the company called me and had already dropped the extra charges when they found the mistake way before the review. <br /> Another issue was the length of time to get my things. This concern was resolved as the company knew I wanted to keep the same head mover who started with me in West Virginia. Through the rerouting of jobs because of hurricane Isaac, it took longer for my original mover to get my things to me in Colorado.The company and I have worked this out. They definitely totally completed the move from starting point in West Virginia to agreed upon location in Colorado. <br /> I would recommend this company for a long distance move. They and I were very unlucky with the weather. <br /> <br />

Not going to relive all the horrible detail but suffice to say that you have been warned. Do NOT do business with this company. Angie's list would do well to drop them. My elderly parents purchased an Angie's list deal to move from a very small rental to a very small retirement home less than 1 mile away. My mother outlined her needs and the amount to move was exact. She has moved 11 times in her lifetime and knows how to create an inventory. The movers arrived in a (too small) rental truck at approximately 9:30 am and I arrived at 3:30 that afternoon to begin unpacking boxes. The truck had still not arrived with its first load. It did not arrive until approx. 6:30 PM (with only a first load). Keep in mind that packing was already done. All they were doing was moving boxes and wrapping furniture for a one mile trip. No inventory was ever done. My sister, brother-in-law and I actually unloaded at least half the truck. I am not going to repeat a play by play here but the end result was  that they were standing in my Mom's house at 4:30 AM (YES - AM) refusing to leave without my mom signing a paper stating how many hours they had worked. Of course she signed, she wanted them out of there. How scary and unprofessional is that??? When I called the company I was told that calls were made to my mom when the guys started going beyond the amount of time estimated. Not true and I challenge them to come up with the telephone records to prove it. I agreed to pay an additional hour of labor than what they had estimated and warned that if more was charged, I would be calling my lawyer. They did charge double what they estimated. We contested half the charge with the credit card company and the matter was dropped. Good thing because I really would have gotten my lawyer involved at that point. I have read other similar reviews on this company on Angie's List as well as the Better Business websites. Consider yourself warned. <br /> And, dear Angie's List: I am sorry to say that this experience has really soured my opinion of the types of contractors you endorse. <br />

"Hi Member First, we would like to say sorry that your mother didn't have a good experience with us, but in all fairness, we need to explain our side of the story. Your mother purchased a BIG DEAL from us for $300.00. The details of this offer stated 4 hours of moving for that amount. If there is anything over 4 hour you will be charger extra. When we arrived at your mother's home, we didn't encounter a small rental, but instead a house with a basement. Although the size of the house might have been small, the contents within would take well over 4 hours to move. Our employees were sure to explain to the member that there would be additional hours and costs for moving her, she was OK with this and therefore the job was finished at 4:30am We asked the member to please sign the contract because otherwise we have no recourse of collecting the proper amount due. As for our reputation we take it very seriously and appreciate all feedback good and bad. However in this instance, we would like all members reading this to understand that you cannot expext ANY moving company to move a household ( including a BIG basemant ) within 4 hours and for $300.00. They had told me they would be at my new place on Tuesday or Wednesday of the follwing week which was no problem but to my great suprise they arrived on monday afternoon. I hired this company because I saw they had a better business bureau rating on the BBB site of B+  On their own website they listed that they were BBB accredited. Later I saw that this was not true. (They have the BBB logo on their website saying: accredited). <br /> Spoke with Antoine and was told I would get my car in Washington in a week to ten days. I told him I had to have my car before my classes started and he said I definitely would. He told me I could put my things in my car, no problem. The guy picking up my car was nice but got there a day late and late at night. <br /> Meanwhile I moved to Seattle, and waited for my car. It didn't arrive when Antoine said it would and when I called him to ask what the deal was, where IS my car he started scolding me that I didn't understand the business and I was making too big of a deal out of it. Meanwhile I had to walk everywhere to get my groceries and medicine for my son; I have a back problem and this caused me a lot of physical pain to have to do this.I also had to hire someone to bring some furniture to my house that I bought at a yard sale. Otherwise I would have been sitting on the floor. I also had to shop at an expensive grocery store that was close to my apartment. <br /> Antoine kept giving me false dates as to when I would get my car and time just went on and on and no car and my calls to Antoine went unanswered; I could only reach his answering machine. Imagine my fears of losing my car. I certainly couldn't afford to buy a new one. Finally after many many phone calls including threats to get the police involved, my car was shipped out (30 days sitting in Antoine's lot) And I got my car from a reputable transport company.  That company expected to be paid 1100 dollars cash plus 200 dollars for the items in my car.I told them I had paid Antoine already. (That company did work this out for me). <br /> It was a horrible experience with a completely dishonest person and his cohorts, one of them I believe is his wife. <br /> <br />

We rented a 20 foot truck to move some of our belongings to a house approximately 200 miles away.  We used a different moving service to load us.  They sent three people, one older gentlemen, estimated about 45 years old, another gentleman about 30 years old and a young man, we estimate to be about 20 years old.  The 30 year old was in a hurry and he and the older gentleman did not agree on items.  The 30 year old and the young man moved a large piece of furniture down some steps and gouged a wall and did not tell us.  When it came to loading the truck, the 30 year old took over and he and the older gentleman argued a bit.   <br /> We drove to our destination and the people from Pick Up & Go arrived the next day.  In the unloading process, they showed us an upholesterd chair that was laid on its side and because of this, the material pulled away from the side seams.  Antoine and Reggie took their time, put our furniture where we requested it and were very pleasant to be around. <br /> We were so impressed that we will use them to move the rest of our furniture in the near future. <br />

I called and they made a series of promises but none that came to fruition. They promised to pick the furniture up and then the same crew of men would deliver it two days later.  <br /> <br /> On sunday they were supposed to show up and load but that didn't happen and I could not reach anyone. I have several numbers and could only get a hold of one of the gentleman's number that loaded the truch but he was on another job. I have no idea where the furniture is at this point. <br /> <br /> Assured me that it would get to my new home on Monday but didn't actually get on the road till Tuesday. We had to move to a hotel because of this. They told me that the contract we signed said it was a 5 day moving contract but there is nothing in the contract after reading it several times.  <br /> <br /> They made the excuse of not enough training for these areas of the sales people.  <br /> <br /> The guys who loaded the truck was great but the process overall was not good.

I contacted them via email after finding them on the internet and checking them with Angie's list and the Better Business Bureau. They were very easy to work with and provided a quote over the phone based on my description of the amount of boxes and furniture and the number of delivery locations. The price was very reasonable especially since it included the transport of a car. I contracted with them via email. They were the only movers I contacted who could give me a confirmed pack and deliver date. <br /> I contacted them a few days before the scheduled move to reconfirm the dates and they called me the day before the move to tell me the drivers were on their way. Problem was the movers were going somewhere before my father's and apparently the person who called to let me know they had left did not realize this. Consequently when the driver called me to tell me they had just left NC the morning I was expecting them to arrive to start packing I was concerned. They did arrive that evening and got 3/4 of the packing completed and loaded about half of the truck. The next morning they arrived and completed the job on schedule and drove to Nashville, arriving about 6. Delivery and set up was complete within 3 1/2 hours. <br /> I would recommend them for moving with one caveat. If you need to also relocate a vehicle understand that there is no guaranteed pick up or delivery from the vehicle transport company they subcontract with. The car was picked up a day after I was told to expect it to be picked up and was supposed to have arrived today but still has not.

You get what you pa for is the ending to this nightmare- Save yourself the aggravation- Stay away from this company- Read some of the other reviews on various sites-I wish I had-  <br /> <br /> I contacted this company for an estimate- Antoine Johnson came over and I showed him everything we needed moved- I told him I had 2 other estimates from other companies and he asked what they were and said he would beat them- I told him what the other quotes were and told him the were flat rate quotes- He offered to do the entire move for $425.00 flat rate 3 guys- He said I needed to come by the office and pay 1/2 of the rate to secure the date- I went there that afternoon and paid my 1/2-  I contacted him the day before our move to find out what time the movers would arrive- He said he would call me right back- I never heard from him so I called him back and got his voicemail- I even texted him and did not get a response- The day of our move he called at 8am and said the guys would be there 10am prompt-  The movers arrived at 10:30- There were 3 guys and Kim who I believe is partners with Antoine- she said she was just there to get the guys started- That 2 of the guys have been with them for 5 months and the other guy a year- When Antoine came and provided us the flat rate he indicated he thought his guys would knock this job out quick- At 5:00 they guys were just about done loading the truck and still had several items left and informed me they would need to make another trip- They then told me that I needed to call the office and speak to someone named Mary- I contacted the office and was told by Kim that Mar was in a meeting but that I only had a 5 hour move rate- I indicated no Antoine provided me a flat rate and that she needed to look at the invoice that it did not state anything about 5 hours- It clearly indicated local move at $425.00-  She then proceeded to tell me that she was going to have the movers stop and lock up our belongings- I told her I would call the police that this is a scam in an effort to get more money because their employees took longer then Antoine thought they would.Kim told me she would have Antoine call me- So we waited 30 minutes later Antoine called and tried denying that it was a flat rate move and tried to tell me he was going to have his employees dump our stuff- I told him I was calling the police and the media- That this is a scam to tr and force people to pay more money- He started screaming at me and telling me I will get mine every dog has its day- I told him I was not going to listen to his threats and harassment and was calling the police and media- He said I will go ahead and complete the job but trust me you will get yours and he hung up- The movers then stopped off to grab a bite to eat on the way to our new place which was only 8 miles from where we were moving from- Upon the movers arriving at m new house they were having difficulty backing the truck up in my driveway- The scraped the drive several times and tried going over the front grass and finally a few neighbors came out and the one got in the truck and backed it in our driveway. The movers were unloading and kept getting calls from Kim asking what they were doing and of coarse they would state unloading- 3 times she said she was going to send more help and that never happened- After unloading at our new home it was 10:30pm - We headed back to finish at old house- The movers were loading the mattresses and box springs when Antoine called and told them to stop and dump the stuff - Antoine told me its almost midnight my guys cant do no more you never told me anything about garage stuff and cloths- I said Antoine you were here you wrote everything down we went room by room- He says he don't remember- He started getting verbally abusive and I told him that was it I would make sure no other consumer has to go through this and I hung up- The mover guys felt terrible what Antoine was doing and how he was talking to me and continued loading up what they could to get everything out of the house. They then unloaded everything at our new home and got done around 2:30 A.M. From 10:30 A.M.- 16 Hours! We had a few things broke and torn, alot of nicks and scraps on the walls throughout the home, some scratches on the wood floors- The 3 guys were very nice but were completely exhausted and frustrated with Antoine and Kim- and know that some how Antoine was going to try and get out of paying them for all those hours that he under quoted just to beat the other companies
