We took him to civil court in Baltimore County MD and he was found guilty of fraud and 8 other counts of deceptive business practices. He lied to us. He will lie to you.

It went wonderful. They were aware we were having a graduation party the following month, and they completed all work prior to the date. This was done even though we had had a rainy period during the construction. They installed sod to assure our party could take place without any inconvenience. PieScape construction workers were extremely polite and diligent regarding their work. We are very, very pleased with the outcome and received so many compliments about the work that was done.

Piescape did everything they said they would do in the proposal, they showed up in the morning on time, and were done in a timely manner. They picked and cleaned up after themselves and it looked like they did a nice job. I have no complaints with Piescape.

Mulch and trimming were done right away and looked very nice, although some weeds have sprouted up from the mulched area.

Installation of pavers took 3 months to even begin, but it was done in one day. The constant rain played a part for the delay, but I did feel that the project was on the back burner. We wanted the pavers to match the patio pavers in color. We went with his recommendations. The pavers do not match - appear the same color of cement pavement. Upon inquiry, was told that they had heard that a lot and that it will take a few months and color may change. The installation looks great but we are very disappointed with the color and hope it does change to match the patio. I will respond back in a few months and let you know if pavers did change color.
Retainer wall built. Worker was not a professional mason. Seems to be solid foundation, but poor layout of flagstone. Built quickly in one day and it clearly shows.Top flagstones never set right, not properly installed or matched, are loose and top of wall is dangerous. Had someone come back after installation and put some type of glue which didn't hold hold. Used regular concrete with gaping lengths between top stones.Calls not returned.

Mr. Ireland showed up on time to get the information for his estimate. He was very professional and we discussed several options. I received the estimate in a timely manner. While making my decision, Mr. Ireland answered many phone calls and emails regarding the proposed work and provided me with a reference so I could see his work first hand. The landscapers showed up timely and worked all day on my yard. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the area when finished. Mr. Ireland stopped by to check on the progress.

With the wet spring we had, I was not promised a start date and I could see why. However, I was surprised to come home one night and discover they had been hard at work. They started work on the drainage system first and brought out a mini-digger to dig out the various channels they would need for the pipe. They installed a 16 x 16 catch basin (drain) by the side of the drive to catch water in heavy storms. The hooked up the catch basin, a downspout pipe from the front of the house that passes under the driveway, the sump pump and two other downspouts. All these black plastic pipes was connected to PVC pipes and hooked together into a central line that drains into a a 50 gallon tank in the garden. This tank is buried in the garden and has numerous holes in it to allow seepage and it is surrounded by rock to make it easy for water to leach into the surrounding area. The main line has a backflow preventer. The crew left the tank and backflow valve uncovered so we could inspect the set up and familiarize ourselves with what it looked like, where it was located, etc. before covering. The set-up was tested throughout the process to make sure the grade was right. We have not had a hard rain since installation. I would say their forte was unequivocably the drainage system and the stonework. The sidewalk, stairs and retaining wall were made of Versa Lok and/or Techo materials, and the nice curve in the sidewalk and construction of the stairs are better than I expected. I believe the stairs will remain long after the house is gone! The retaining wall is a good height for sitting, and they took extra measures to insure that dirt would not leach through the retaining wall. They made a suggestion towards the end of the project to install additional curbstone along a small bed leading up to the deck, and it was a good addition. They told us it would be an additional charge when we agreed, and the additional $250 charge was reasonable in our opinion. My major grievance is that I was not prepared for the general destruction of existing plant material in the areas where they worked. The deck was surrounded by various perennials, and I imagined they would be dug up and set them aside for re-planting when the project was finished. This was not in the quote. They did dig up some of the best specimens, but my husband and I replanted them elsewhere because we thought they would dry out or get destroyed before being replanted. This was not the case, as they were quick to replant within 2 days - but at this point I didn't know what to expect. I did have edging and mulching the area in the quote, and the plant materials were just plunked back into the general area and covered with mulch. Maybe they would have survived, but once again, I feel their forte is working with the pavers and stones and the drainage system, and not really with plants. I would use them again, and have actually asked for another sidewalk quote.

The start date was delayed about two weeks due to weather but once they got going they worked steadily until the job was done. They were here early each morning and left at four. The workers were polite, friendly, and asked questions when they weren't sure about a few things. They left the place very neat and tidy. The slope looks very good. It's to early to tell how much better the drainage is but it is definitely better than it was. They were easy to work with and very dependable and efficient. Would definitely hire them again.

HE DOES A REAL NICE JOB, I HAVE SLOPES THAT ARE HARD TO CUT AND HE DOES IT VERY WELL. HE COMES EVERY WEEK ON THE DAY WE DECIDED ON AND TAKES CARE OF THE WEED EATING AND BLOWS THE GRASS OFF THE WALK.
