Hired the company to complete a renovation from start to finish. They were completely in over their head. They finished the roof, half the demo and bailed. Roof job was not done properly and Tony will not return my calls nor give me the roofing contractors info. I was led to believe demo work was completed and it was not. It cost me an additional $2300 to complete demo work and not sure what the damage is going to be to have the roof fixed again. I hate writing negative reviews and I reached out to the company to make this right but my calls went unanswered and emails unreturned. Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this company.

Tony and his team did a fantastic job on a large room ceiling repair, remodel. They raised an old ceiling to its original 12 foot height while repairing all cracks, faulty wiring and any structural issues present in a 100+ year old home. Tony and his team did a fantastic job framing, wiring and of course his specialty plastering was fantastic. The thing that I appreciated the most was Tony's transparency and his value added ideas and forward thinking. Working with other contractors on past jobs I must say that Tony takes care of it all as he always thinks ahead of what you might need or want for your job and that I really value and appreciate. I look forward to partnering again with Tony and his team on future projects around our property.

I am redoing the work myself...so the quality is bad. Left mess on floor
and work is mediocre. Owner said they would be on stilts and do the
ceiling and that didn't happen. None of promises were kept. They wanted
the check made out to owner personally and not put through the business.
That is a way to hide income. Would never never use again.
It was an angie deal plus extra time....around 200-250 when done. Again, I am redoing. Not worth the money.

I originally spoke to Anthony baker about the window leaking sporadically when it rained. It did not happen every time it rained but it was beginning to be an issue because the plaster around the window was beginning to bubble. Anthony Baker came out and accessed the window. He thought he issue maybe with the roof and scheduled his roof guy to come out for the repairs.

Chris came to my home and accessed the attic area above the window. He believed the found the leak indicating it stemmed from the fireplace chimney area and water was traveling to the window. He did some patching to the chimney area through the attic access and did outside work on the chimney. Anthony sanded and re-plastered the wall area around the window. I thought the leak was fixed and Anthony indicated that if there was any problem the work was guaranteed, it would not be a problem for them to come back.

I noticed a little time later that that the window plaster color was changing. I called Anthony back and he sent Chris to review the work done. Chris accessed the attic space again and indicated that what I was seeing was residual water from the old issue. A few months past, and it rained. Water poured from the window. I have the pictures. I called Anthony on his cell, he was shopping with his children for Halloween. He indicated he would get back to me, he did not. I sent him a text with leaking window picture and he text me back indicating that Chris was in Ohio and he would be back in a couple of days and that they would contact me. Anthony even apologized. (I have that txt as well)

It is been almost a year later since the "repair" and the window is still leaking. Although Anthony and his crew were timely, and professional while in my home, I would advise not to use this group of gentlemen because they are not true to their word. I paid them $600.00 and now I am back to square one.

Very well. He took down a hanging ceiling and chandelier. He completely rebuilt the ceiling and installed 5 recess lights. He took out a range hood that was old as time itself and installed a new one which looks very nice. My kitchen got a much needed update and I am very pleased.

They said they were going to do it a certain way and they didn’t do any of that. I have to redo it because it is not up to my standards. They were nice. They wanted the cheque written in the guy’s name and that pissed me off. They didn’t clean up after themselves and they were messy. I wouldn’t use them again.

They cut a foot square of plaster board out of my wall and they ripped off the blue board and textured my foyer of which I didn’t want. He had hard time hitting the studs in the wall and they had nail holes in the wall of which I think that is why he textured the wall. He messed up the smooth coat in the hallway and it is not level. They also wiped plaster off the door and it streaked it. I had to clean my front door as a result. However, they did a good job cleaning the residue off the floor. They used a bathroom towel to clean up and they didn't ask me to use it. They seemed to be in a hurry especially the plasterer.

Chris and Joseph worked hard, cleaned up, were nice to work with. Couldn't have been better.

Only issue was that Pittsburgh Home Improvements was very, very busy and it took a while to get the time scheduled.

I think they did a good work overall. I ended up having them do outside of the $99, it ended up costing $4100. It snow boarded into a bunch of other projects which was all in all fine. The problem that I would say is they quoted it out as $2200. Now, I think that it was reasonable given the amount of work but that was not what was quoted. So, I think it's important to get a fixed price estimate and make sure you hold them to it. Even so after the fact, trying to get them to come out had been not an option, it was a challenge. There was a lot of in-fighting within their team. I was happy to get them out of the house. I tried to use them again but it didn't end up working out. I'll probably not use them again.

Home improvements was at my home 4/23/15 to install 2 light fixture and 1 bathroom faucet, The guys they sent took a very long time to do the job and Justin, left a huge hole in my wall which was unprofessional. After speaking with them, after the job was done i found out that neither one of them was an electrician or plumber, I had already paid them for the extra time before i found out this information. I now realize the extra time would not have been needed if home improvements would have sent workers who had expertise in plumbing and electrical, and not concrete and hvac. When I schedule the job I told the company what i need done. I called the owner to discuss the damage to my wall he said he would be out the next day to fix it. On 4/24/15 the owner came to my home plastered my wall and said it needed a day to set then stated he would be back the next day to sand and paint the wall he never showed up and never returned any of my phone call. the work was not complete to my satisfaction. I would never use or recommend this company again The owner Tony is very unprofessional i gave him ample time to fix the problem.

This $99.00 deal did not go well. The contractor was responsive once I called and left a message on the voicemail I did receive a call back either that day or the next day. I explained the job which was to resurface the drywall on my bathroom ceiling. I had to scrape it because some paint bubbles developed from the humidity and I attempted to spackle it myself and I could not get it smooth. The bathroom ceiling is about 8x7. I was asked to text a few pictures of the ceiling which I did. I was initially told that the three hours of work would not be sufficient to do the job- that the cost would be close to $500 but that they would subtract the $99.00 I already paid for the Deal of the Day. I indicated that I was not going to pay an additional $400 for this job that was not that big and which he did not come actually look at yet. The price then changed again to around $250 after the $99.00 I already paid. Finally they called me back and said they would do it for the $99.00.
Then there was much discussion as to when they were going to do it! Can we come later that day at 4:00. Yes, I said. Then, they asked if they could instead come the next day. I said, yes, probably- let me check. They then asked if they could do it in three days. Sure. Finally we were back on for that same afternoon, but they showed up an hour early. Two guys showed up in a car, spent about 45 minutes to an hour to do the job. Thus, that is two work-hours total. They were done. At first, with only the vanity light on, the ceiling looked good. Later that night, with the ceiling fan light on, you could see all of the imperfections in the drywall and it looked awful. I did call back many times (at least three) to indicate that under different light the job now look unacceptable and I invited them back to take a look at the ceiling. I never received a reply phone call.
This should not have been a big or difficult job for a professional drywaller or plasterer. The price changed, the times changed, the job was not done well. I wasted $99.00. I do have to say, however, that the two guys who came were polite. This company wanted to do well and they wanted a good review, but I do not think they could live up to their own expectations, nevertheless, my expectations.

The company came and checked the area to be plastered. A date was set up to do the work and there was a small problem in their arriving at the scheduled time but it all worked out fine. It was an Angie's special of $99 for 2 men for 3 hours of work but it only took the 2 men 2 hours to complete the job. Wish I could use the additional hour that was not used for another day but I guess the agreement is for that day only.
I am very satisfied with the work that was done and would use the company again.
We started talking to the company last November, 2014. The work was done in December. It is now July 2015.
The person who did the work talked me into vinyl tiles, which we had before, instead of sheeting which I was planning on, because it is easier to fix a problem to do one tile. However, he found that our floor was not level in some spots. This caused problems for the possibility of it lifting in the future in certain areas. When I arrived home to find the floor "done" I was disappointed to see many problems. First, the vinyl trim was cut poorly and falling off the wall. I noticed that there were spots where the tiles were already lifting, and one tile at the wall was cut too short and the hole between it and the wall was visible under the trim, which was also falling off. he said he would give us 6 months guarantee.

We called immediately to say this was not the job we were expecting, outlining the above. He said he would come back and replace the trim and fix everything right. I also thought the metal trim between the kitchen and adjacent rooms looked tacky and wasn't well cut. I asked for a higher quality product at the two entrances, that the tile would be replaced that was cut too short, and that the vinyl trim be stuck down securely. He had told us just to keep pushing on the places that weren't sticking! He had not let the trim lay flat before installing, so they were prone to curl.

We scheduled him to come back 3 times. The first two he had to call off because he had to care for a sick child at home. The third time he told us he had been in a bad car accident (texted the picture) and was not going to be able to work for quite some time.

When we contacted the office we didn't get anything but a voice mail. We never heard back from them to reschedule. Our lives got busy and we didn't reconnect, nor did they, for several weeks. In the past 3 months we have been calling to leave messages, finding answering machines full, and getting told to call someone else in the business who would take care of it. We told them if we didn't hear back we would have to write a negative review. Here it is. Our floor is not finished, it looks bad, is pulling up in many places. We cannot recommend this company.
