Great. Cost was reasonable, they were able to get my job done within 1 week of giving the estimate. Employees were quick, efficient, and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. It doesn't get any better than this.

They gave me an estimate in December and winter set in, I called them last week and they said they would fit me in their  schedule for this week.   They showed  up this morning at about 8:40am and were gone by 11:00 . They were very neat clean and professional. Other than the 2 missing trees you cant even tell they were here.  They cleaned up all the mess.  I was very impressed. <br />

The rep was very prompt in returning my call and arrived at the house within just a couple of hours to look the job over. After showing him what I needed to have done, he provided me with a written proposal. I had 2 other proposals by companies listed on Angie's List that were significantly more expensive. Pittsburgh Lumberjack's pricing was very reasonable, and I will be scheduling to have the work done. <br /> UPDATE: The stump grinding project was completed in October and was finished before I got home from work. Pittsburgh Lumberjack also provided me with a proposal to do the additional landscaping I was planning to be completed this year. That work is scheduled for late October 2014. <br />

Excellent service! Joe, Ann, and the crew went above and beyond helping us out and accommodating our schedule. We needed to have a fence installed on our back property which is filled with stumps, bushes and dead trees. Joe did many extra things without batting an eye. and quot;I'll take care of this for you while I'm hereand quot; was all we heard. No member of the crew sat idle and were always pleasant and helpful. This is a high standard, trustworthy company that we highly recommend. <br />

They did a great job. They brought a full crew and a bucket. They knew what they were doing and did great with the cleanup.

These guys can drop a tree and they do it quickly and accurately. His cutters are very good at what they do!! They showed up when they said they would and their price was ok. <br /> The only reason i rated the overall experience fair was the owner Mike is one of those guys who asks you a question and then turns away as you start to answer as if he doesn't really care or isn't listening. <br /> Also-the agreement was to cut up the trees after they hit the ground but when i checked the next day there was a large branch on my neighbors property that was not cut into pieces. i had to track his guys down at another job in the neighborhood and have them come finish the job. They did but you could tell they weren't happy about it. They then said the branch had been there because it had dirt on it. i was there when they dropped it, and this was from our tree and if you knew my neighbor you knew it was from our tree. <br /> Be very specific about your expectations with these guys so they don't change between discussion time and actual service! Get it in writing!

Huge pin oak tree: Removed one low hanging limb, one limb over roof. and several dead limbs. large tulip tree: Removed two limbs over roof and several dead limbs. All work was done by rope and climbing (amazing to watch)- no vehicles on lawn, so no lawn damage! Work was done quickly and to my specifications. The only negative was cleanup which was hurriedly done and not thorough. Also, their dump truck needs a tarp cover to prevent chips from being blown out over the street and lawn ( I had to rake this up myself). Overall, though, a good job.

Everything was great! I called and explained what I wanted. They came out one day while I was at work and then sent me an estimate. I called and told them I was happy with the quote and explained that I was leaving on vacation for two weeks. They said I didn't need to be home when the work was being done unless I wanted to be so I told them to go ahead and do it when they could get it done. I returned from vacation to find the ugly yews gone and everything cleaned up nicely. I had tried to remove them myself but they were very difficult. This was not an easy task but they did a great job and I would hire them again! <br />

The project went well. Both trees were cut down to my satisfaction and I thought the price was very reasonable. The only inconvenience for me happened when someone came to grind out the stump and did not remove the debris. I question why it was left behind and was told I did not pay for this and it would be an extra cost. I was given a written estimate and it stated a stump price. I did not know that meant only to grind and not to remove the debris. I am new to this and never had a tree cut down before. I did not know to ask about removal and this was never stated to me by Lumberjack Tree Service. <br /> In the end this issue was resolved and I now know to ask about the extras. I just feel that the removal of the left behind tree chips should have been stated in the written estimate or at least verbally discussed. <br /> I am happy with the end result and will use this company again. <br />

Mistakenly cut down two trees. Reneged on written agreement to replace. <br />

I had two large oaks in the back of the house and a large honey locust in the front. They arrived and immediately cleared the area of anything that might get damaged and went to work. They took care to removed all dead branches from the trees as well as a couple of very large branches. They cleaned everything up and my trees look amazing. They know their stuff and would use again <br />

They were easy to schedule with, performed the service on time and as scheduled. They took down a 100+ foot Oak tree that was 15 feet from our house, and ground the stump as well. The work was done efficiently (less than 2 hours on site) and they left very little evidence that they were there. Our yard did have some tire tracks from their equipment, but the weather was a little wet in the week before they arrived. <br /> <br /> <br />

Amazing work! Wonderful crew! The removal of trees, stumps and numerous clumps of brush, is probably an everyday occurrence for this company. What amazed me most about this crew was their ability to basically read my mind. I wanted a play ground space for my grandchildren, All I did was put four stakes at the corners, dug down one section to show them the approximate depth I needed, gave them the abstract idea and a verbal description and let them go to work. Everything is exactly as I imagined and wanted - level, clear of debris, safe-- - perfect! What excellent people. I would definitely recommend this company! <br />

Lumberjack removed an old, dead 60' pine tree, 20 feet from our house. 4 crew members arrived with a bucket truck, dump truck and chipper to cut it down, chip some branches and haul away the remaining limbs and tree trunk sections. It took about 1 1/2 hours. They also pruned several dead limbs on nearby trees while up in the bucket, as we had asked them to do upon the inital estimate. This was an additional $35.00 fee. The area was cleaned up after removing limbs and tree trunk sections. We would use Lumberjack again, without hesitation, if the need arises. <br />

Excellent service. They were available. They were pleasant to work with from the beginning. They made it easy for me by leaving me an estimate like I requested. Then I was able to call them and ask them to do the work. They were on time and cleaned up everything. They were available for any questions. It was incredible. They knew their job. It's a family business. Very pleased!

I got them off Angie's List. They did a good job on everything. I was just delighted with their promptness, thoroughness, communication, and their prices were fair.

Tim arrived on time for our initial estimate appointment, explained the project in detail and gave us a fair price for the removal of the trees. Tim went above and beyond the call of duty to deal with a difficult neighbor regarding the removal of the trees. Tim and his team arrived on the date we agreed upon for the removal of the trees and Ann from the office kept us abreast of the details of the project since we were at work when the removal was taking place. We also asked at the last minute for Tim to remove three bushes if it was possible, and they agreed to do it with no problem. Ann and Tim answered our questions and concerns promptly and consistently. At all times they remained professional and courteous and are experts in their field of removing trees. They did minimal damage to our yard and were neat in the overall project which was difficult since it had rained two days of the week they were working. <br /> <br /> Without a moment's hesitation, Tim, Ann and the team have my highest recommendation. <br /> <br /> Thank you both again, it was a pleasure doing business with you both and your company.

Everything went very well. It was a big job. They did it when they said they do it. I fly in to have work done from my home in NC and they were excellent. They sent 5 guys and cleaned up everything when they were finished. I would highly recommend them!

The Lumberjack guys were great. Ann in the office was very responsive, calling me back the day after I left a message, answering all my questions, and promptly sending me their insurance certificate for my records. The guys were a bit late coming to the house, but traffic in my area (route 28) is always a bear and unpredictable, so I wasn't concerned. I had (2) 45-year-old pine trees cut down. The guys cleaned up the street and the yard and ground out the stumps and roots, leaving me with a nice yard area. I also had a very large maple deadwooded in the back yard. Very professionally done. I will definitely use them again.
