The parts totaled about $75. The company told us that these parts were very expensive. We are looking for a refund of the Big Deal and to pay the company directly for the work performed. The company has denied our refund.

Couldn't ask for a better job!

Rich, the installer was GREAT. I was concerned that we would not have the pot faucet center, but Rich centered it perfectly! He was clean, and quick! What more could you ask for?

Kalvin, the owner, was fast to respond to my initial call, then I dealt with Andy, the Logitic's Manager who assisted me in setting up my appointment.

Pand H Technologies were brought in, in part, to finish the
plumbing work of a second story bathroom remodel after we had to fire our
original contractor. We found them on
Angie’s list and they had a solid rating. We thought the quote for the work was
high but since we went through a horrible time with our previous contractor we
just wanted the job done, so agreed. After our initial phone conversations I felt confident that we had
turned a corner with our remodel and the poor workmanship was behind us. Unfortunately
I was wrong.
Round 1- Trap under master shower successfully replaced. Due to the second bathroom being
finished they could not work on it.
Round 2 -On the second visit they replaced the valves, re-installed the toilet and sink.
Due to some issues with the bath equipment (not the fault of PH) they were unable to install the faucet and control nozzle.
A few hours after they left, I found a puddle under the
sink. I called Kalvin and he sent someone out the following day, a Saturday.
The associate showed up with a tube of glue and no tools. I had to lend him a
wrench so he could complete his work. I don’t mind sharing tools but seems unprofessional. Associate fixed leaky pipe.
Round 3 – Plumber shows up with new faucet and plate for the shower nozzle. Installs and
says goodbye.
I inspect the work and see that the faucet is improperly
installed, leaking at the base with a very sloppy caulk job.
I call Kalvin, he sends out same plumber the following day.
Leak is fixed, faucet is correctly attached. Caulk job is less sloppy.
Following day I leave w/ the kids for five days. My wife
uses shower while I am gone. When I get home I find a water stain roughly 40 by
16 inches on the ceiling in my hall closet. (closet ceiling is under bathtub
plumbing).
Round 4 - I call Kalvin and he sends out same plumber. Plumber inspects stain and can’t
understand why the stain isn’t wet. Two holes are cut in ceiling. Drywall is dry despite stain, he’s stymied, can’t
figure out how the stain got there. Asks me if I’m sure the stain wasn’t there
before. I assure him it wasn’t. I run the bath and shower, I flush the toilet and run the sink. No drip. Plumber
can’t explain it. One would think that when a plumber is confronted with a water
stain directly under the bathtub he just worked on he would want to solve the
mystery. Not in this case. He grabs his ladder and leaves without even inspecting the bathroom.
After plumber leaves I realize that the one variable missing
from our testing was that nobody was in the shower at the time we ran the
water. I had my wife take a shower while I inspected the pipes from below. Sure
enough there was some water drops coming through. I made an inspection of the faucet. At the
bottom I found a gap in the caulking about half an inch long.
Round 5- I called Kalvin and related my find suggesting that the stain may have been caused
by splash back water going into the gap, he asked if I wanted someone to come
back out and caulk it. I told him I would do it myself. While caulking I
noticed some more gaps along the faucet and sealed them. After 24 hours, showered again, saw more
water but higher up in the pipes. Inspected control nozzle plate which had not
been caulked at all, though seemingly flush with the wall, there was still
space water could enter and so caulked that.
That did the trick. No more water.
Conclusion-
Called Kalvin to inform him that it was a caulking issue. His response to the myriad of snafus was
simply along the lines of, “You don’t intend for these things to happen.” He
also made no offer to patch the holes in the ceiling, which were due to the
lousy caulk job. Over all I am disappointed with the whole experience. I expected better from Pand H.

The experience with them was good. They didn't leave any mess behind and they did a thorough job. We've had some initial issues when we asked them to come and give us a quote. They didn't come and we kept calling them and asked to talk to the manager and then he came. After that it went OK.

Kalvin and Rich were very helpful from the time of the estimate until the end of the process when the work was finished. Both of them have been very prompt about returning phone calls, answering questions by text message and overall communication has been great;. Both were very detailed in explaining everything they would be doing, how much it would cost, and how it would effect our home long term. They did not try to pressure us in any way to buy anything we did not need. They explained the facts to us and let us make our own decisions.
The work was completed in a timely manor and they were willing to work around our schedules. They were also very patient in waiting to start the work until we received money from our insurance company.
My wife called the company to replace our 2 water heaters. Kalvin responded her call a few hours later. He told my wife each water heater would cost us $900 including a new A.O. Smith 40 gallon tank, installation, hauling away the old tanks and code upgrading if necessary. They will file the application for permit for us but the permit fee will be paid by us. However they want the full payment once the job is done because it takes too long for the town to sign off the job. They don’t want to wait that long to get the payment, even the balance my wife mentioned was only $200.
Then my wife found out the company offered $799/water heater coupon which excludes code upgrading from Angie’s List. She asked Kalvin how much will be more if we do need to upgrade the codes. Kalvin never explicitly expressed how much and he just said it won't cost too much. Then my wife asked him if we could use another 5% coupon instead on $900 he quoted us. He said yes. On Friday, 12/7/2012, my wife confirmed that we would like to hire the company to do the job and we were scheduled for Monday, 12/10/2012. Kalvin promised that the crew would come to the house between 8:00am-10:00am on the day. My wife asked Kalvin to email her the proposal or contract so that we could sign before they started the job. But Kalvin did not email us anything.
On Monday no one showed up until 11:00am. The installer, Rich, called my wife and told her he would need to bring everything up to codes and $799 is not enough. Additional $275 will be charged for both water heaters. So my wife told him that Kalvin had said $900 would be enough to cover everything. If we used that 5% coupon, it will bring the price down to $855/each. Then total price for the job will be $1,710. My wife called Kalvin and left message but he did not call back. Then my wife asked Rich if he wanted to do the job at this price, Rich said:and quot; It's fine. I will do it.and quot; But around 12:30pm, Rich called us again and said that he could not do the job because the tanks he had were too tall and he need low box tanks. It will cost us additional $150 for 2 low box tanks. I told him OK. He said that he had to come back on Wednesday with new low box tanks.
On Wednesday Rich showed up on time and replaced the tanks. We asked him if he filed the application for permit he said yes. However he did not take the old tanks with him because later on the scrap metal company will pick them up. Before he left he had asked payment for the job, I never talked to my wife about the price but assumed that whatever the price they agreed on would be shown on the receipt. However Rich gave me the receipt showing total fee $2,023. According to my wife the total cost should be $1,860 ($1,710+$150). She called Rich right away but Rich said that he was driving and call Kalvin. My wife called Kalvin. Again it went to the voice mail. My wife told Kalvin that the price was not what they agreed on and asked him to call back. She also said that we would block our credit card if the problem was not straightened up. Unfortunately Kalvin did not call.During the night our tenants called saying the pipes were leaking. The next day I told both Rich and Kalvin that the pipes were leaking but they did not take any actions on it. I believe that it was because they did not get payment from us. And we called the township to see if any application was filed, the township told us no application was filed under the property address. Then my wife called Kalvin again and left message, he did not call back.
Until now we have not received any phone calls or emails from this company and we are looking forward to talking to someone from the company to solve the issue. Of course we have not paid the company yet.
Initially, was going to only replace the central air unit, but made the decision to replace it and the furnace. From the time Todd and Kalvin came to house until the job was completed and constant follow up, I would recommend this firm to everyone. They provide excellent customer service and explained in detail any and all issues. Honestly, if you need work done in your home, call. You will glad you did.

Everything went great. They followed up and confirmed that the tank was still under a six year warranty. They then submitted the claim for the replacement which I appreciated. They were also very punctual.
