It went well and he was very courteous and explained the situation so I would understand what was going on.

Came out after hours. Assessed the situation and then came back in the morning and fixed it right up. We moved to Fredericksburg in 2011 and they have been our only plumber for all our plumbing issues. . John is the new owner and he was here operating the backhoe. Strongly recommend them.

Very responsive and completed work in under an hour. HOWEVER, the problem was the price - $410. For an hour's work, with supplies at about $50. That is $360/hour labor. I checked internet sources, average cost should not be over $200. When I complained, it appears that they have a minimum 4 hour charge. Here is the exact quote from an email from the company "We use straight forward pricing for all work performed which we have levels for work to be performed if it takes 15 mins or 4 hours price doesn't change we don't have hourly price." I don't think this type of job would ever take 4 hours, I am not sure why the base price is $410. When I told them of other work that needed to be done on the bathtub, such as a leaky overflow, they did not offer to fix it under the same price structure. Also, they installed the water knobs so they turn opposite what they should (counter-clockwise to turn off instead of clockwise).

I own a duplex in Fredericksburg. Tenant reported a gas leak and found Plumb Magic to come a few days later. A neighbor acting as property manager was onsite to handle the appointment. Long story short, the technician misdiagnosed the issue and was about to open up walls to run new gas pipe. Luckily the owner intervened and properly diagnosed the issue. My neighbor acting as property manager was texting with me throughout the appt. She indicated that the plumber said that he had explained everything to me. He had not. And that the estimate was being sent to both of us and as soon as it was approved, work would begin. I never received such estimate. The work happened. My texting communication with her in the affirmative was based on her assumption that the estimate had indeed come through to me. And her communication to the plumber to proceed was based on the assumption that the estimate was in my hands and my affirmative messaging to her was fully informed. But it was not. I waited and waited for it and assumed it was still being prepared and that what she was texting to me about what they were planning to do was the best option. So I continually affirmed the proposed solution. Still waiting for the actual estimate. When I finally got the estimate, the work had already been performed and it was no longer an estimate, it was in invoice. Rates higher than I have ever paid for gas work in either Virginia (Alexandria) or Maryland (Frederick). Basically, I lost the option to just pay the service call fee and compare pricing. Which I may not have opted for. But sometimes a property owner just wants to know that they are not being price gouged. Or that the difference in pricing is not worth the wait. Or heck, that they are actually getting good, fair, market-rate pricing! I also had to have them fix the invoice as there were several errors. Some I let go, but I did have them change the errors in the billing and work site contact and location information. The owner blamed my neighbor for the communication issues. And that is classic poor customer service. What people who are not good at customer service do not realize is that these small conflicts, if handled well, actually turn into strong customer loyalty because they build an actual relationship and real trust. But his last words to me during what I hoped would be a relationship-building call were that he was going to send me back to the office manager "so we can get paid". Wow. True colors.

excellent. technicians right on time, had the part needed with them, explained the cost and did the work very quickly. even helped me with a leaky faucet in the kitchen sink at no charge.

The company utilized a "pull-and-replace" technique as follows: 1) excavated the water pipe at the house and at the street; cut the water line at those two places; 2) ran an 80 ft. steel cable from the street to the house; 3) attached a "pyramid-knife" to the steel cable and then attached the copper replacement pipe to the pyramid-knife. 4) tractor-pulled the pyramid-knife and copper tubing through the old poly-tube pipe, cutting it as it went and replacing it with the copper pipe in one continuous operation. 5) all excavations restored to original condition at close of the work. Process was ingenious and saved all of my trees from root damage (and potential dying in a couple of years.) No digging trenches. The technician was completely professional, competent and courteous. He explained each step as it went. He was also clearly proud of his work and finished every step with complete attention to detail, thoroughness and professionalism. The job took about six hours to complete and went off without a hitch. I am completely satisfied with the work and recommend this company highly .

Everything went great. I didn't have time to research, I just took the first person who was going to come fix it. They were here when we needed them.  <br /> <br /> Their promptness stood out. That was an emergency situation because once that line bursts, there is a lot of pressure there. Water was going everywhere so we basically had to shut the water off to our house. Just having someone just come within an hour was very helpful for us.  <br /> <br />

I do not have the bandwidth or verbal acumen to describe how grateful I am to Plumb Magic in general, and Andy in particular. I was spinning like I had one foot nailed to the floor when I called. Andy showed up, had me breathe into a paper bag (figuratively, of course) got me calmed down and pointed in the right direction. He suggested a trusted salvage service and went right to work. He went way above and way beyond to provide the best customer service I have ever been party to. He stayed with us until the county (ultimately responsible for my predicament) showed up to start repairs. I am already planning to call back after this mess gets settled to complete some long-put-off projects.

It was just fine. Did an excellent job. That they are a no nonsense, upfront pricing, you know exactly what you are getting into. The workers were knowledgeable.

The plumbers were on time, professional, and talked to us about other concerns in the house without being pushy. This is the fourth company we have tried and the only one we will use again.

Both jobs done very well. I'm pleased with the work.

Plumb Magic, LLC have done a lot of work for me at a rental property that I have up in Fredericksburg and I like them quite a bit. I've had them numerous times up there. I've had them in hot weather, in warm weather and cold weather. Well, I think they're a little high but they do excellent work so I guess I'd give them a B on the price and A on everything else. They've always done a good job so that's why I still have them, you know.

Fine. No complaints. We had a further issue with the hot water tank and once notified, they returned within 1/2 hour to remedy.

My own fault for not checking prior to service call but was charged $300+ dollars for a $40 part. The work was completed and the issue was resolved but I will probably go elsewhere for my plumbing needs in the future. This company had done work for us several years ago but I don't recall such aggressive mark-ups on parts

FANTASTIC. I cannot say enough good things about this company and about Andy in particular. Give them a try and I believe you'll stick with them. I have total confidence in them.
