POCO was great working with us, providing all available options. The addition work was done while we were out on vacation. They did a great job and it works perfectly.

POCO Solar Energy has a lease plan. The lease plan that they have is the worst thing I ever saw. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to sign a lease like that. I had some problems with them. They called me last October and said your unit doesn’t work and we are sending somebody to fix it and they just got done with that 2 weeks ago. They charge me full price for an equipment that doesn’t work. The lease is binding, that’s all that go to say. I have solar for me house and solar for my swimming pool. Last October they made a lot of appointment and nobody showed up. I have things to do too. A lot of time I waited 4 or 8 hours for a technician to show up and they didn’t show up. Her name was Maria and she is just a terrible person, she didn’t know what she was talking about for one thing. The technician was a very good man but he never came back. The quality is pretty bad. They fixed a couple leaks and I complained about the consumption of water and I can see it has a problem and live with it is what they said. My neighbor asked who did my solar and told them not to go with them.

The contract called for removing and hauling off the panels, all hosing and visible plumbing and pipes on the house, and removing the boards used for mounting the panels. First visit the panels were removed, but not the mount boards, pipes, plumbing, or hoses. I called them and they sent someone out again and some of the remaining work, but not all was done. It ended up taking 5 calls and work trips over 2 weeks time to get the work completed. The workmanship was very sloppy and destructive. Several of the roofing shingles were broken and when I asked for repair the repair was very sloppy gluework. After one visit I found my outdoor gas BBQ range was knocked over which caused a gas leak. Six months later after the first rain I had a bad leak in the roof. The roofing repair company came out and found that the roofing tar paper had been deliberately cut through across a 12 foot section of the roof where the mounting boards had been removed. This caused $3000 of damage to the roof and the ceiling sheetrock beneath it. I called and wrote a letter to POCO complaining of the horrible work done and they did nothing to cover the repair cost, stating that it could not be proven that their workman caused the damage. The roofing repair company wrote a supporting letter describing the intentional damage done but POCO still refused any responsibility.

We have worked with POCO many times before. They have always been responsive and on time - even though they are quite busy.

They have taken care of all warranty issues. They need to plan for the busy season so they can accommodate their customers because they once told me there was a wait time of one month but it was resolved.
