It went very well. Jake did a great job of replacing my fan motor -- no problems. He was very thorough and he is very professional. He checked to see if there were any other problems, and found none. He arrived on time and was very polite. I like this company very much.

Very pleased. Our 18 year old AC unit needed a charge. Aside from the fact that R-22 is almost extinct, the unit ran fairly well for a builder grade 10 seer. R-22 is quite costly these days. Service call was made with a fast response during a busy period. The unit was charged and inspected and the house cooled down. During the inspection it was noted that the gas furnace was rusted to a point where the gas valve had to be turned off. Time for a new system. AC and furnace replaced. There was one minor glitch but it was resolved. This glitch was no fault of the installers. The unit is up and running perfectly. There was no up selling. I had done my research and chose a system within our budget that would work well and it does. I chose Pope’s because a few years back they came out and gave me advice on my DIY thermostat replacement with no charge. I wrote a review back then and said I would call them when I needed service. They seem to operate under the radar - no TV advertising as far as I know. Their price is fair and I will be calling them shortly again to replace a gas water heater. Thanks

Good so far.

Our 2.5 ton upstairs A/C was leaking coolant, so we opted to replace it. Since downstairs unit is a Carrier, we picked Pope's to bid for the job, as they were listed by Carrier, had good marks on Angie's list, and were locally owned. Pope's Air responded the same day we called, and Tim Stewart came in the afternoon, and spent over an hour describing our options and costs. We received a competitive bid, and selected Pope's Air for the work. Our previous supplier had replaced our downstairs unit a couple of years back, and had put in a unit which stressed our ductwork, causing a whistle when loaded. Pope's Air volunteered to have a look at that problem, too, included at no charge. Pope's Air scheduled and came on time the following week. It took a day to do the work, and the installers were clean and professional. They came up with an inexpensive fix in the cold air return ducting, and implemented it. No more whistle. In the upstairs unit, they discovered some crushed ductwork which our previous supplier had ignored and replaced about 20' of ducts, all for a very reasonable upcharge. The A/C works fine, w/ a better airflow, and they will return for an inspection once the weather warms enough to exercise the unit. We plan to use Pope's Air for all of our Heating and A/C needs in the future. Highly recommended.

After much research, I had chosen Pope for annual maintenance for my 18 year old HVAC. It so happened that within a couple of months, my HVAC had issues. I was really surprised when the "on-call" technician troubleshooted the problem over the phone with me, and it got me another 24 hours, before the blower motor was dead. I had a choice between spending another 500-1000 on fixing blower motor vs. replacing the system. I got quotes from many highly rated providers on Angies and Popes. I was pleasantly surprised that Pope's was the cheapest, and could get the new system in the NEXT day after my HVAC died. Tim patiently answered all my questions to quote, and Mark and Danny did a fantastic job of setting up and cleaning the area after themselves. I will definitely recommend them!

The comfort specialist (Tim) was professional and knowledgeable. He came well prepared to explain the choices and options available, measured our old system and made suggestions. He showed us a brochure with pictures of the various systems, etc. He answered our questions which we really appreciated since we have never purchased a system before. He even came out a second time to answer other questions so we could make up our minds. Some company's comfort specialists measured, gave us limited information and then gave us links to websites to make our choices. We found that confusing. The installers were professionals and well prepared. They did have to come back another day to install the humidifier. The installation of the filter proved to be somewhat of a challenge, special ordering it, getting the right equipment and having it installed. All is in now and we are happy with the system and have been warm and cozy during these frigid days/nights. Pope was recommended to us by a friend and her recommendation proved to be accurate. We would hire them again.

The tech spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting because the problem was not apparent. He was able to restore my heat.

They were willing to fix a problem that was initially not part of maintenance. If they are not leveled though they don't work properly. They have to be installed level and he was able to rectify that.

Heather Pfeifer in the last week Our HVAC system went out after 13 years and I had five different companies come out to give me a bid. Tim put together a proposal that couldn't be beat. Not only was his bid 20%-30% lower than all of the other companies, but he spent a lot of time answering my questions (I had an entire page!), carefully going every option but NEVER pushing me to purchase anything we didn't need. Moreover, told us of a great financing deal that would start the following week through TRANE (0% for 60 months). Since we fully expected our downstairs unit to conk out in the next year or two (same age), we decided to bite the bullet and replace both units, including our furnace. Tim helped us put together a hybrid unit that will significantly reduce our reliance on propane , which is so costly. Ultimately, our new systems are expected to reduce our energy bills by 20-30%. To top everything off, Tim had his crew come in the day before installation to clean all our ducts for free, and included 2 years of free service of both systems. He was beyond generous, and he went above and beyond to make the entire experience pleasant. The installation team (Bill, Jay, Mark, Richard) arrived on time and were nothing but professional and courteous. They spent the entire day installing the units, and were extremely careful to keep things clean and orderly. They were all super friendly and great with our dog, who thought she just made three new friends. At the end of the installation, they went over both systems with me, reviewed all of the paperwork/contracts, and walked me through our new hi-tech thermostat. They never tried to rush me as I asked them more questions, even after being here all day. I am so happy that it'll be one of these guys who will come out to service the units twice a year. In sum, I can not give a higher rating for Pope's Air - every single part of the process was handled professionally and with utmost courtesy and consideration. THANK YOU!!!
