Ernesto Romero, CEO of Powerhouse Concrete, is a New Orleans native with over 25 years of experience in the concrete and construction industry. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he began his career at his family’s company—Romero Brothers Construction—working his way from laborer to Project Foreman before launching Powerhouse Concrete in 2011. Today, Powerhouse Concrete is a veteran-owned, highly respected residential and commercial contractor that has completed more than 10,000 projects and poured millions of square feet of concrete across the Greater New Orleans area. The company is known for quality workmanship, reliability, and a commitment to delivering long-lasting results.

Concrete Flatwork - Repair & Resurface
I had a sidewalk around my home replaced. I was apprehensive about a number of things. Powerhouse managers and employees patiently walked me through the entire process. I believe the pricing was fair. Their work was excellent. I’m glad I found them on Angie. I need some driveway work in the near future and I plan to use them again

It was really good. Estimate best five other concrete companies. Although a small job they handled everything well. Estimate given by Jay, VP of Sales, no one could beat. Work done by Josmine, really professional job and never stopped, finished product looks really good, cleanup was perfect. I would use Powerhouse again in the future.

It went well. Jay was prompt in scheduling a time to take measurements and got me a quote within a day of that appointment. They were to start the following week but I actually made a change that delayed things and then we had a little rain. They were timely once we got the project going and responded to all of my questions and concerns. My driveway now looks so awesome!

The job went great But I got a call from an individual you had recommended. I called him and we talked for a couple of minutes the he saw he had to take another call I waited the rest of the day and never heard anything from him I then called PowerHouse concrete. Excellent! The work was done in a professional manner at a competitive price. They were mindful of my needs and when inclement weather disrupted their work, they quickly remediated the situation to keep my project on schedule. The new front sidewalk looks great. The crew also raised a trouble spot by the driveway that always collected water after a rain. The sidewalk looks better now than it ever has since we moved into the house.

I am very pleased with the job. The overall process went smoothly: from the initial contact through the work crew leaving the site. I was especially pleased with the work crew. They ensured that the framing met my desires by effective communication about what I wanted. Any concerns that I had about how the concrete was going to make it from the road to the back corner of my back yard were not warranted. The crew proved to be very hard, capable craftsmen. The pad turned out almost too good to cover up ;).

Powerhouse demo’d and re-poured my concrete flooring for my back patio, and I am so happy I went with them. They were quick to schedule, knew all the details and potential risks, and completely the job start to finish in a day. The crew was professional, respectful, and picked up after themselves. The Manager took the time to go through options, details, and concerns diligently, and communicated well. They did everything they said they would, and quicker than I would have thought. I would not choose any other concrete company for future projects. Highly recommended!
