initially very willing to help, they got in over their head with my boiler system. One employee seemed to know what he was doing, the second guy came out an disconnected all the relays. ....the system was never going to run with the parts and thermostats they installed. I basically spent the better part of 2K with no accountability or a email response. Owner kept saying send me an email, he came out once to look at the system...it was obvious he knew nothing about my system and they have never returned nor been willing to have the first tech address all the Honeywell thermostats and the board installed in my houses.

Not only were Brent & Leigh friendly and professional to work with, we were blown away by how responsive they were to any questions or issues that arose. Brent was also great about discussing our options and recommending equipment that suited our home and lifestyle rather than trying to push the most expensive model. Our system is working great and I will definitely recommend them to our family and friends.

This work was done by another guy, not Brent. He was a nice guy, however, he made a HUGE mistake. When I got home and opened the garage I can smell the gas has filled the whole garage so I called him to find out if this is normal and he told him yes and gave an explanation that he had to air out the new tank so a little smell of gas is normal. So I went back upstairs and the leave the garage door open but when I came back an hour later to check that strong smell of gas was still there so I started to approach the water heater to see I could figure out if there is a leak somewhere and I was right, I can feel a little air coming out for the new hose that he installed so I quickly call him back, told him the issue and then he did agree to come back to fix the issue right away. Anyway, I want to write a review about this work because I just feel that if you work in this line of profession you should never make this kind of mistake, this is a huge mistake that can easily resulted in huge disaster. And what is funny is that after I reported this issue to Brent (I believe he is the owner) he told me that a little leak is no big deal, it would take a huge pressure before something could happen, really! Is that really a plausible excuse?

They were bad tanks and kept breaking down each year. I asked, "why would you install something if there were always issues?" They broke every year. They said we could pay about 10-15k for a boiler system to install, which would solve all the problems. We decided to do this & in about a year, it went out. They said they could fix the parts under warranty, but had to pay close to $800 for labor.

I cannot sing the praises of PMG Mechanical enough! We recently installed a pizza oven in our kitchen, requiring a new (specialty) venting system and new gas line. I searched all over the internet and asked friends for referrals for HVAC companies. Nobody would install a product they didn't sell and some didn't even return my calls. In desperation, I posted a plea for an HVAC company on Facebook and an old high school friend came through referring me to his and quot;Uncle Brentand quot; at PMG Mechanical. Brent and his company are extraordinary on all levels - in their punctuality, responsiveness, knowledge, can-do attitude, honesty, integrity and quality of work. I wish we had more projects for these guys to work on because we miss having them around and working with them. They are that good.
Called Brent (owner) at PMG. Brent said technician Michael would be there in about an hour. Michael arrived on time, diagnosed system, replaced control board. Sys been working fine since. (Two other firms diagnosed same problem; they proposed two different repairs, and turns out both were wrong.)
Used PMG once previously; similar prompt service, correct repair. Pleased with PMG's response and competence. Would use again.
After several calls to PMG, we scheduled for them to come and do their semi-annual maintenance check on our HVAC systems. I also told them that we needed them to do some additional work on the water heater that they had installed the previous Spring, when ours had leaked and caused considerable damage in our home.

At the time of the water heater replacement, I had gone to the store at the request of PMG and purchased a drip pan and water alarm to be installed with it. They said the drip pan was not necessary and they would install the water alarm. Imagine my surprise when we had our home inspected several months later and the inspector informed me that there were several problems with the water heater installation - including the lack of drip pan, the fact that there was no water alarm (despite the fact they had agreed to do it) and that the earthquake strapping on the water heater was not installed correctly. I expected that they would do this work for no charge since that would be the elements that should be included in high quality work - and were seemingly overlooked. (By the way, we paid the price quoted to us by PMG with no negotiation for the water heater install since our previous unit had cracked and was not functioning and we needed an emergency replacement)

PMG sent us an invoice charging us for the adjustments to the water heater. We contacted them that we did not feel the charges were appropriate. They responded that these additional items were not considered standard and asked us to pay. Further emails from us were met with silence. We decided to only pay for the maintenance portion of the bill. We were dissatisfied that they did not feel that it necessary to do an and quot;excellentand quot; install, but only bare minimum.

PMG installed our heating system 7 years ago. The airflow noise had increased over the past year, the electronic air cleaners were no longer popping and the system had not been looked at in several years. I called and expected the owner Brett to tell me to have the ducts cleaned and then call him. Instead, he indicated that increased noise is not a result of dirty ducts. He offered to come the next day, but due to our schedule, he came 5 days later. He went through all of our systems, furnaces, air cleaners, in-floor heating and hot water heater. Appropriate adjustments were made, air filters cleaned and problem solved. The owner Brett is a great person and very professional and personable.

The first thing Brent did right was to look at the whole situation and not just the surface work when he came to provide us with an estimate. He found that we would not be able to just move the duct over one joist -- the main ducts from the furnace were running there. He went in the crawl space to determine a better location. On the day of the work, Brent was in and out in less than 2 hours. He worked quickly, quietly and left absolutely no mess. Very well done.

I needed a last-minute gas furnace replacement in a house for sale. The prospective buyer planned to remodel within 5 years so wanted only a minimum (standard 80% efficiency) furnace. I called Brent at PMG on the recommendation of a friend who owns several rentals and has called on him for a number of years for all furnace repairs and replacements. Brent came to the house an hour after I called, correctly diagnosed that the old furnace not only needed replacement but was greatly oversized for the house, and calculated the new size. He was the low bidder of the 4 companies I called, and $500 below the high bidder. One other company had bid a new thermostat even though I already had a fairly new electronic thermostat. Two days later he Installed a new 60K BTU Carrier furnace, did some new cold air sheet metal work, and installed a chimney liner. He was able to get the furnace quickly even though the most readily available are the popular 95+ efficiency models. The work was done quickly and neatly. Brent was thorough and professional, and the buyers are happy -- at least the sale did go through.
