Upon my initial call, they were responsive and seemed very nice when they came out. The serviceman told me I needed two new batteries. I took his word for it and had them replace the batteries. Since that time, one of our alarms has continued to go off and on indicating that the battery was bad. I have called them 4 times since this happened. I always receive voicemail, and I have never heard back from them once. I finally called another plumbing company this week, when both of our alarms started going off again. Both pumps need to be worked on and when I told them what we just paid for batteries, they said "wow, those only cost $150 a piece", PPS charged us $225, plus $120 labor. Between the cost and the customer service, I would rate them as F-Lousy!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY. Plumber caused $8000 worth of damage to my home. I had a 1st floor toilet that was clogged and called PPS Plumbing to come out to fix it. The plumber could not unplug the toilet and stated that we would need a new one. He then proceeded to NOT hook the toilet back up to the waterline and just turned the valve off. The valve leaked for 3 days into our finished basement before we realized it was leaking. It caused $8000 worth of damage to the basement, bathroom and kitchen.(the water leaked beneath the flooring). They did have their insurance company pay for the damages but the amount of time and stress on my family was incalculable. (we were moving out of that house and into a new one the following week and had renters that were to move into the old house also that following week. They had to deal for a month with no downstairs bathroom nor could they use the basement and had flooring ripped up in the kitchen). I tried to give PPS a second chance ( I know, stupid on my part, but in the end I try to be a nice guy) and asked them to install a battery operated back up sump pump in my new home. The same plumber came out and installed it. Two issues here. 1) I have a radon mitagation system in my new home and that has a sealed cover over the sump. I asked them BEFORE they came out if they could replace the cover on and seal it after the sump pump was installed. I was told it would be no problem. When I came home after work the plumber had told my wife that I needed to call the Radon Mitagation company to have the cover put back on and sealed. 2) MY ELECTRIC WENT OUT DURING A RAIN STORM MONTHS LATER AND THE BACKUP SUMP SUMP TURNED ON BUT WOULD NOT PUMP THE WATER OUT OF THE SUMP. I HAD TO BAIL OUT MY SUMP BY HAND UNTIL THE POWER CAME BACK ON. I CHECK WITH THE MANUFACTURER (WATCHDOG) AS WELL AS THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE ON THEIR WEBSITE TO DISCOVER THAT THE PLUMBER INSTALLED THE BACKUP SUMP PUMP INCORRECTLY. THE CHECK VALVES ARE NOT IN THE CORRECT PLACE. WHEN THE BACK UP SUMP KICKS ON, IT BASICALLY JUST PASSES THE WATER BACK DOWN THE MAIN SUMP PUMP PIPING INTO THE SUMP. COMPLETELY INEPT. I CALLED THEM TO DISCUSS THIS AND NOW THEY ARE NOT RETURNING MY CALLS. NEVER, EVER USE THEM. HORRIBLE.

The pressure/temperature valve was releasing water thoughout day. PPC checked it out and offered me the choice of replacing just the valve or the water heater. Taking into account the age of the heater, I chose to replace heater (16+ years old). I had received a quote for water heater and labor when I made the service appointment so I knew the cost for this up front. Ball valve leading to water heater was leaking so replaced that also. Everything went well.

They were wonderful. They came in, repaired what they had to, and told me what they couldn't do and that was it. I don't know about the price as my wife paid it. I just read their recommendation and chose them. They did a good job and that was that. They were quick and efficient. Their price was about average so I would grade it a B and I would use them again.

It was a very good experience with them. They were able to accommodate our schedule and it was kind of a tricky schedule because we had other contractors that had to work on the same day. They kept me informed the whole time about what was going on. There was a problem with the existing pluming and they were able to take care of it. They finished all the work on the same day. Their price was also great.

Called a week before to get on their schedule. The plumber arrived on time as scheduled. Work was done professionally, friendly, and well done. They fixed a problem with one hose bib (did not need to replace it), and replaced the one we knew would need it. Very pleased with the work.

They were very competitive in price. they got here at 8:30 in the morning. He said he would be done by noon. He left at 6:00 and did not get them finished. He came back the next Monday and did not get it taken care of. It took 4 or 5 visits to get to where we thought it was completed. They did keep coming back. I had them guarantee that if there were any more leaks they would come back and fixed them at no charge.
Response from PPS LLC Plumbing Service
"I have to say that I was very disappointed about this report. With all respect to the member, I have to disagree with the results given us by them. Yes, the plumber who began the work at their residence began the work without finishing it. We were unaware of this at the time and were under the impression that the work had been completed in full that Friday afternoon. Needless to say, that specific plumber didn't show up to work the following week, due to some personal issues. We discovered during his hiatus by the member that the work had not been completed and that they were experiencing leaks. That very day, I dispatched not only a competent plumber to their house, but also sent the owner of our company with him as to look over the leaky "mess" that had been left by our plumber. They were there for a couple of hours, doing the necessary repairs and adjustments, making certain the job was complete. We hadn't collected a dime from the customer's at this point and our owner told the customer's not to pay us until they were confident there were no leaks. We apologized to the customers trying to make them understand that this isn't the way we do business, or have been able to maintain business for 30 plus years. We have always been very swift to repair any mistakes that have been made and I believe that is exactly what we did. We did not go to this home 4 or 5 times as the customer stated in her comment, but only twice - which is still one time too many in our opinion. The plumber who began working at their home no longer works for our company; not necessarily because of this specific call, but for several other reasons too. We take pride in our professional and quality workmanship and regret that they weren't given that at the start. But, I do believe that we did all that we could do to make up for the situation. We are all human and unfortunately call backs do happen. It's what you do after they happen that sets you apart from other service company's. I'm saddened that they didn't see it this way, even though they gave us the impression that they did before we left their home."

Not much to tell. Plumber showed up and fixed all 6 faucets in 20 minutes. The cost was $60 for the service call and $60 for the part of the hour to fix the faucets. I assume that the the second $60 would have covered up to an hour's labor, but the repairs were finished quickly. Parts were $7.10 which surprisingly was about what I would have paid if I bought them myself. Overall a pleasant experience.

After the dug down to the water line, they had to fill the dirt back in. They said it would settle back down. They did not clean up their mess. They were not very professional. My son-in-law said the work was not a rough grade. They cracked some cement on the apron of the driveway. After three or four calls. They came out and said it was not a rough grade. They came out and tried to mount it up better. In the meantime the grass had died. My son-in-law asked about the cracked apron. They said after the winter was over they would come back and fix that apron. I have now tried to call them and they will not call me back. I realize this means they will not fix the apron.

A different company told me to have the pipes replaced, but I ended up calling Pipeco and I found them on Angie's List. They did a great job and they were very quick. They did take the discount for being a member of Angie's List. The tech that did the actual work was wonderful and I felt comfortable with him there, he even pet my dog.

Overall, this was an EXCELLENT and successful repair experience. As mentioned above, 3 Plumbing repairs for $179!(this included 2 visits & a $15 off Angie's List coupon/visit). You cannot beat the quality, service, expertise, and price. I appreciated John Saunders recommending that I go and purchase the faucet on my own and having them come back to reinstall it(appreciated the knowledge of how much a faucet would run approx.) vs. purchasing the faucet, parts, and addl. labor cost through Pipeco. This saved me additional money. I've recommended Pipeco to several friends and family and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to all Angie's List members. I also recommended Angie's List to the Pipeco Plumber, John Saunders.

He took care of the job, was there for a very short time. He charged me for a half hour instead of the full hour. He was very clean, everything was picked up, mopped up. It was good. I was very happy with them.

I have a crawl space, no one's favorite place to go, particularly in the dead of winter. The plumber arrived and didn't blink when I told him where the pump was located. He crawled in, replaced it and came back out to tell me he had to fashion a new drain pipe. He did that and back into the crawl space he went. The whole job, start to finish, was about 20 minutes. He showed me the old pump and it was pretty beat up looking. I haven't heard a sound out of the new one, which is a definite improvement. When it starts raining, we'll see how it works.

Absolutely no complaints from start to finish. I called Monday to see if they had any appointments. Even though there has been a lot of frozen pipes in town, I was scheduled for Tuesday morning. Lori was very pleasant and just gave me a good feeling from the very beginning. Lori called Tuesday morning to say that the technician/plumber was available earlier than my scheduled time-this worked out great for me. Mike arrived and quickly dispatched the problem with the kitchen sink. He moved on to the bathroom where a previous plumber had resorted to removing the sink from the wall(and breaking tile)to change out an older faucet. Mike didn't have to remove the sink, and instead had the whole thing done in short order. The work took less than one hour and was done quite well. The price shown above reflects the $15 Angie's List discount, but is still lower than I had expected(a competitor once charged me over $300 to clear a drain and replace a faucet). Needless to say, Pipeco will now be my first-and probably only-choice when I have plumbing work that needs to be done. They've earned my business and I'll be sure to pass on the good word.

The lady who takes your calls is uncommonly straight forward and nice. On both occasions when I called I initially had later appointments but the plumber finished work at both locations earlier than anticipated. The telephone lady called and asked if the plumber could come earlier to make the fixes and replacements. After that it's really straight forward - that's what I loved about this company. The plumber shows up, you show him the problem, he works efficiently and thoroughly, doesn't waste his or your time asking about the kids or telling you about his Aunt Trudy, he cleans up, gets payment, and leaves. I loved working with this company because their's is the ideal business model - telephone lady is direct and upfront, the plumber came (earlier than expected - which worked better for my schedule), he did what he was supposed to do, performed quality work, received payment, and left. Ah, smooth!

Lori was friendly, prompt and efficient on phone. Eddie called when he was on his way and arrived at the scheduled time. He seemed professional and knowledgeable. He examined several of the leaks and took appropriate action and gave estimate for replacing pipe. His estimate was reasonable and we will have this company back to do the work.

He was extremely courteous. It went extremely well. I would recommend them to others. He did not know if we had a single key to the rental property. He made a special trip on a Saturday to return the key in case we needed to get into the rental. It was his day off and he did this on his own, we did not request it. He was coming back the next Monday to complete the work. He was extremely courteous and went beyond his duties.

Good. They were available the next morning after we called for them to come fix our leaking faucet (which we had tried to repair more than once). That morning they called and asked if they should bring a new faucet in case replacement was necessary. They said it was better to bring one in case, otherwise we'd end up paying for 2 visits. We bought the faucet ourselves because we wanted to pick out the style. Pipeco had no problem rescheduling for later in the day while we made the purchase. They installed the new faucet, replaced the lines and installed a new valve under the sink. All is well again.
