The project went smoothly. Our project began shortly after the contract was signed. All crews, from demolition, to installation, to cleanup were professional, polite, and meticulous. The owner checked on our project every day and answered our questions. When complete, the owner completed a thorough review of the project. He had someone come out to reduce the amount of sand between the pavers. The end results were beautiful. We are very pleased.

The meeting went very well with the Owner Ramon Rivas. He came out to my house and took pictures of my backyard, and current patio area which is just a slab of cement. After talking with me about what I would like, and showing me pictures to choose from for flooring and the type of patio cover I would like, he took down my preferences, and left with the information. In about 2 weeks I received an email from Ramon with the 3D rendering of what my patio would look like based on my choices. I was really impressed with the drawings.....they really were true to life and he also had trees added along my fence line to give me an idea of how adding trees to the backyard would enhance the landscaping. I would recommend his service to anyone interested in having a 3D rendering done for patio installation.

They said they could repair our driveway during the second week of December but were actually able to complete the day-long project on December 1st. they did a great job leveling and the matching the paver pattern on the good portions of the driveway that did not repairer work, highly recommend!

Replaced aging front sidewalk with steps. The former design was hard to walk down at night. The new stairs are much easier to navigate at dark. They resolved that the steps were not deep enough and made them higher so that the flat sections have less of a slope.
One of the steps settled after installation and they promptly came out and fixed the step to resolve that issue.
The old patio was an eyesore of cracked, uneven concrete. The back steps leading to the house were very narrow and had pulled away from the patio. Precision Pavers transformed the area into something beautiful - and very practical. I had been concerned about weeds or grass growing in the spaces between pavers, but the special sand mixture they use effectively sealed the spaces and I've had no problem with anything popping. The patio has stood the test of some time now - we've had it for over 2 years - and we're still very pleased!
The crew showed up a day early, (pleasant surprise). I was amazed at how
quickly they removed the old 1982's walkway. I couldn't believe the
size of the trucks that showed up. The entire project took 2 days. Bob
(the owner) even called me Thanksgiving Eve afternoon to see how I liked
new walk way.
I must confess, it's the prettiest walkway and
I'm proud of it. The crews cleaned up, very professional, know what they
are doing and are hard workers.
I'm posting photos. The job went above and beyond my expectations!
They created a fabulous design and Bob accommodated our requests without any objections. Bob was very timely and heard our concerns all the way and ensured that the work was being performed as per our expectations. The crew was also quite friendly and respectful of our space.
I would highly recommend Precision Pavers to all! They do offer coupon on Angie's List which comes in handy as the pavers are not cheap! I hope there 10 warranty holds good if ever needed... :-) There are many contractors out there but very few like Bob who are honest and deliver what they promise on time!!!!
The initial install was good but we had some low spots in the drive court we reported. They took awhile but came and repaired it, but still left the same issue just slightly better. No one really stuck around to go over the repair with us to see if it was good. After many months of reporting the issue to the builder who contracts with Precision Pavers, finally we were told we would be taken care of in a couple of weeks. Weeks turned into months and all of a sudden they wanted pictures and said someone would come by to look. No one did as far as we could tell. Weeks later (year after install) we had the second repair crew scheduled. We reported the low spot and an area where the pavers have a white residue that thought would have washed off by now but was still there so wanted them to look at it. They ignored that issue, repaired the low spot with a drain and left again without showing me it was fixed. There is still standing water, mostly it drains but there is a tiny high spot right before the drain, if that wasn't there it'd be perfect seems it would have been easy to do. but again no discussion about it.
So I asked about the other issue and Cory Streiff just sent a short response that the issue was repaired. I sent the emails that showed the other issue and received no response from Precision Pavers./a./a
Hired them to install patio stones around my pool. Showed up with 8 people and by 12 o'clock there were 11 people on the site, among them a kid who could not be older then 15 years. Only foreman spoke English. Result is a deck that has so many faults that one does not where to begin. I wrote him a letter detailing all deficiencies and met with Bob for a 30 min. discussion on ALL problems, which my wife also recorded. He agreed to fix (which actually would require removal of all stones and re-installation). Showed up next day with a crew of 4 people, they patched it up a little bit and left. Most of the issues were not resolved. Now he wants a payment for full amount and WILL NOT provide warranty, although on the quote it says 5 years warranty. Seems like we are heading for a court, as I have not made any payments yet. Bob is arrogant, and will try to "educate" you if you contradict him. Boast about his 30 years of experience, but he shows up for 5 min. on the site. I would not recommend this company to anybody. Work is shoddy, substandard, and does not satisfy minimum of industry standards, such as that water should drain away from the pool, and not into the pool. I have set up some videos on you tube and on Photobucket.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yj5gLlNjMPI&feature=youtu.be
http://s831.photobucket.com/user/exp2000/library/Precision%20Pavers
Here is the full copy of the email after installation and after fix
Notice of non-acceptance of work performed
This notice is to serve as notice of non-acceptance of the work performed at 1809 Olympia Dr. Allen TX on 08/22/2015 by Precision Pavers. Work performed is below minimum industry accepted standards, and reasonable expectations when hiring a professional company, whose core business is laying paving stones and especially when it is Belgard certified contractor. Work performed is sub-standard, non-satisfactory on many levels, such as structural, visual and safety, as well as not performed as per specification.
Structural
Sloping of the surface does not satisfy industry requirement that there must be slope of 1" per 8 linear feet.
Major two surfaces are level and at several spots are inverted towards pool, which will cause water to pool around the perimeter of swimming pool causing all kinds of problems (structural, algae growth, dirt collection etc.)
One area slopes sharply away from the pool, and can be observed with naked eye.
At distance of only 3', it drops about 2" more than surrounding area
Many stones are wobbly and move up or down, indicating non-adequately prepared surface (why is that, will be addressed later).
Surface is un-even and many pavers are up to 1/4 inch higher the surrounding ones
Pavers are not laid in any recognizable pattern, and these stones can be laid in 3 different patterns. Pavers are just randomly placed, creating 4-5' long stretches of pavers that "butt" to each other. This creates structurally unstable area, and in case of failure of the pavers, Belgard will not warrant it, because it was not laid properly.
Safety
As there are quite few stones that protrude above level of other stones, it creates a safety issue when walking on it. I already hurt my toe while checking the job.
Pavers are not laid close to fence pickets as requested, creating a gap and safety issue.
Visual
Stones are not laid in any recognizable pattern creating visually unappealing surface, such:
Long joint lines, without break
Multiple stones of the same size placed next to each other ( 3 or more).
Usage of only big stones mostly, so that you could use smaller stones for the border, instead of cutting them as requested.Uneven surfaceJagged jointsGaping joints, uneven widthUgly cuts
Area around a tree was cut ad-hoc, to create circle. Every stone is different size and angle.Absence of basic stone cutting skills, angle of cut calculation is obvious.
Border does not follow contour of the pool
Nonparallel joint lines
Specification
When Mike came, he asked how I want border to be laid out. I told them, in front of your foreman, that it should be about 1/2" from the fence pickets. On that side, they cut the stones closer then on the other side, although still not close enough. On the other side they left a 3-4" gap creating a safety issue and again visually unappealing surface. Also, on the other side, for reasons unknown, it is not parallel with a fence but creates uneven gap.Area around tree breaks the border, although I specifically asked that border be placed around whole perimeter. These are the issues that can be observed now. However even the preparation job was not performed per industry standards. When your workers arrived at the site, even thought there was already gravel spread out, they did not perform any measuring, leveling the surface and compacting it. They just spread the road base with shovel and run once around with plate compactor. Road base was not saturated with water in many spots, and was lose. Sand that came on top of it was wet, and laid out in such a way that created some of the problems above. It is a requirement that sand must be completely dry, especially when laying out such a big stones, so that when vibrating plate goes over them, paver can set into it, creating a structurally sound structure. Also, sand should be set up slightly higher so that paver can be vibrated down to appropriate height. On top of it, your workers walk on sand after preparation, move sand with hand etc. Not one of them used water level at all, other then initially when laying sand. Usage of string to check the lines, spacing etc. seems to be complete unknown. Also I observed that, instead of placing a paver while pressing paver onto existing one, your workers just drop it close and then dragged them into position. Naturally this has effect that sand collects between pavers, preventing pavers from locking into correct position. Your workers either lack basic stone laying and cutting skills or were under your instructions to just get it done. You had initially 7 guys working on the site, but half way through you brought another crew, totaling 11 people on the job site, that were tripping over each other, and materials. You had 3 dry concrete saws, and not one wet saw, or smaller saw for smaller and finer cuts. To mark the stones to make cut your employees use little stones to make marks. Where i contour taking tool? There are so many other things I observed and recorded. I would like to point out that I voiced these concerns to your foreman, onto which he said it will all look good and they will make adjustments. Many of the issues could not be seen immediately due to huge amount of dust, material and people moving all over. I voiced some of the concerns to Mike and to Bob also. When your workers cleaned up dust and trash, I was stunned to see how ugly it looks, and requested that adjustments be made and that no sand be placed until issues are rectified. Your foreman indicated that he talked to Bob and that it all looks good. They picked up the stuff and left. Site is now sitting in uncompleted state, without polymeric sand between joints, and we just has a shower, that most likely washed out some of the sand, further destabilizing the substrate. In light of all this, I think that job is beyond a repair, short of ripping out everything and starting over. I will give you 5 working days to come and inspect the site yourself (after 4:30, during the week), and 7 more days to repair it.
Until all above issues are addressed, I will not be making any payment.
Second Email after they came out to fix it
Bob,I received your voicemail today in which you stated that you have performed fixes, and that you guys are done. I inspected it yesterday after I came from work, and although you did attempt to fix some issues, it is not

It went great even though a crew had to come back out and do a little rework.

I enlisted Precision Pavers to come out and reinstall pavers that a foundation repair company had removed to install piers. Precision Pavers was the original installer of my patio pavers and it seemed logical to enlist them to do the work. I did not even consider any other company since they did such a great job the first time and I was greatly pleased with their work.

Cory came out and gave me an estimate to do the work and then at a later time, after the foundation work had been completed, I scheduled the work to be done. Precision was great to work with on scheduling the work thanks to Alex. Cory was great to work with. He was flexible on several items and just nice to deal with.

The crew came out as scheduled and begin the work. They found there was a lot more paver cutting required than anticipated but they pressed on with no complaining. The job was to be a 1-day job and the quote was predicated on a single trip, but due to the additional work the guys had to come back a second day to finish the work.

I could tell the guys were doing more than envisioned so I got with Cory and offered to pay for the additional time. It just about took some arm-twisting to get them to take the extra money but Cory finally agreed and I had peace of mind about the situation.

The crew did a great job as I had expected but there was a quirk that came up later which allowed Precision Pavers to show what kind of company they were - a reputable one that stands behind its work!

The spot that was reworked to eliminate the standing water, started holding water again. I reported it to Precision Pavers 5-months later, and at this late of date not really expecting any warranty claim on the work but they treated it as such and came through admirably. The crew came out and reworked that spot again. This time I am sure they fixed it. The Supervisor really seem to know his stuff and took extra care in making sure the pavers were leveled (technically had a slight incline for drainage).

I am most pleased with Precision Pavers and when I think of any paver work, I only think of them, and recommend them to anyone considering paver work.

I called five different companies from Angie's List, while all came out and inspected the property only Precision Pavers actually inspected the property, returned and presented a drawing of their vision based on our wants and needs. They had solutions to some problem areas on our property which no other company even suggested. During construction I could count on them to inspect and instruct at least twice a day and even went beyond the job by helping us set up an arbor and moving the furniture where we wanted it to go. The team of workers were the best and their workmanship top notch. Precision Pavers is a professionally run company I can endorse and recommend.

Bob and his crew are the best. Bob is pleasant and professional, and his crew is very hard-working. They are definitely perfectionists. They arrive on time, get the job done, and clean up very well after they are through. The finished product is amazing. In November I hired them to remove my old wooden deck and replace with a patio, and in May called Bob about a front patio and stone borders around two trees. In both cases, they surpassed my expectations - and for a very fair price.
I am also providing links to photos of the back patio, front patio and tree borders:
http://cl.ly/image/0u2R1j1O0j0U
http://cl.ly/image/1F1Z3B392L2J
http://cl.ly/image/051G0u3R2s3q
I will definitely be hiring Bob and his crew again for future jobs, and I definitely recommend them. :)
