Brian Trojack contacted me immediately after my $149 purchase to come out for an estimate. Keep in mind, I bought a 4 hour wood rot restoration deal for $149. He came out and gave me an estimate for an additional $300 which I agreed to. He said he would contact me in a couple of weeks to arrange to do the work. Low and behold.....he never contacted me or returned to do the work. In other words he stole $149.00 from me. He is a rip-off artist. I have emailed him only to never hear from him again. This has made me very uneasy making any advance purchase on Angie's List again.

Owner was 1 hour late for our original appointment time.
No work was don, this was just a consultation where we discussed the work I would like done,
The workers shoed up on time for our follow up appointmetn 1 week later.
However, I had to speak with the owner by phone because he said the work I wanted was worth more than 2 hours. We finally agreed to the work (again).
The work was performed and completed in 30 minutes.
We still have the water leak in our roof
I will not use this company again,
It was pretty average. They were supposed to come and they didn't come. That happened a number of times so it was delayed all the way into August. I gave them a sample of paint that I had and they were going to buy more paint and I wanted that paint back. It was under my name, I was the one purchasing the paint. That was part of the goods and the work. I have yet to receive the paint and I've emailed them three different times.

He gave us a fantastic price quote to tear off two layers of shingles and replace with new. He was significantly below the other two quotes that we got. His quote did not include the cost of any decking that might need to be replaced. That would cost us 35.00 a sheet. He said he could see some areas where it looked like the decking might need to be replaced. Both of the other quotes quoted the same price per sheet but one of them gave me a lower per sheet cost if the entire roof needed to be replaced. He explained that the significant volume would result in lower per sheet costs. Both of the other roofers actually went up on the roof but Brian did not. He looked via google only. Brian was very personable. He walked me around the house and pointed out areas where he said there were problems. He also had excellent ratings on Angies List when I checked him out before contacting him for a quote. Once we decided to use him, things went from bad to worse. He gave us numerous start dates which came and went and no work was done. Since I had not yet moved into the house I would only know if he started work if I went to the house each time. He did finally begin the job on a Sunday. He had said he would have it finished by Sunday , October 18th but I was at the house on Thursday and Friday and nothing had been done. So I was very surprised when I brought a load of stuff to the house on Sunday and there was a large dumpster blocking my garage door and the front of my house and there were three people pulling shingles from my roof. Once the shingles were removed, they did indeed discover numerous areas where the decking needed to be replaced. Then Brian called me to say that the original decking was bad and it was only 3/8 inch and it all needed to be replaced which involved more than 100 sheets of plywood for an additional cost in excess of $3,500! I questioned the cost per sheet since he was buying so much and he said it cost him more than $35 Per sheet but he would "give me a break" and only charge me $3,500. Now my bargain was no longer a bargain. I ended up paying about $700 less than my other quote which included the worst case scenario of total decking replacement. The job was finished on October 22nd. I waited for a while for Brian to come but needed to return to my other home. He actually came there later in the evening to get his money. The dumpster was still in my driveway along with two wooden pallets next to it and a pile of the removed drip edge in my side yard. He told me everything would be removed the next day. I told him I was getting a new furnace on Monday morning and they would need access to the garage so the dumpster needed to be gone. He assured me it would. The dumpster, as well as the pallets and drip edge were still there on Monday when the furnace people arrived. The truck arrived to remove the dumpster and it was too big for the truck. They did pull it enough to allow the furnace firm to gain garage access. The dumpster was removed three days later but the pallets and drip edge are still in my yard. The dumpster also went off my driveway and through my yard. I have contacted him many times but no response. He also requested payment be made to him, not the company and he wanted it in two equal checks. During this process I discovered he was no longer listed on Angies list due to a dispute. I wish I had checked your list again before he actually started the work. I would never have used him! I hope the roof is good because I don't trust his warranty.

Missed him the first time because I didn't know he contacted me through Angie's List message board to schedule the initial inspection. He completed the inspection and I didn't even know he had come out to my house. When I contacted him by phone, he came back to see the issues I was mostly concerned with which was a hole in my siding and a sagging gutter. He repaired the siding the same day he came out but said he would repair the gutter within the next few weeks. My husband was so desperate to have the gutter repaired that he agreed to the $400 Brian quoted. This was in addition to the $99 that I paid through Angie's List.
We were never sure when the gutter was repaired because we were not home. It appeared the gutter was fixed a few weeks later but we never left or mailed a final invoice or statement. He showed up at our house on a Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m. nearly four months later to collect the additional $400. Still no invoice or receipt.
My husband and I bought a 50+ year old ranch. The previous owner had put 3 layers of shingle on it. We had 2 other quotes before meeting Brian. Not only was his quote the most affordable we felt he was the most honest about our situation so we went with his company. He did not disappoint. His crew was great. They finished the job in a timely manner and were very courteous. I can't say enough about how happy we are with Brian and his company. I have a small business and deal with many owners of companies good and not so good! It is always refreshing to deal with people of integrity and hands down Brian is one of those.
