Charles was very nice, very flexible (came after hours) and very reasonably priced. He fixed two blocks and cleaned up everything very clean when finished and showed pride in his work. I would use him in the future and recommend him to others. <br />

Had to cancel first day due to strained back but came the next day with assistant and did the work requested.  Informative about condition of basement. <br />

The service went very well so far. He went to the house, he seemed to be very knowledgeable and knows what he was talking about. He did come up with the report that was part of the deal. I didn't push any further. I didn't get an actual estimate from him but I will get back to him. So far I'm very happy and I will pursue it more when I'm able to and I will get them back and get the work done.

He did relieve us of immediate needs with our foundation and was very helpful in advice, suggestions, and recommendations. However, we didn't care for him going into other areas he was not hired for and his 'gracious' leaving out information for our benefit. We just wanted the basement inspection for the foundation issues and that was all, and that he addressed wonderfully.

He started the job when promised. However, when he arrived to get the contract signed there was a mysterious extra $1,000 on the bottom line over what he told me on the phone. He made the correction. Overall promptness and showing up on days promised was not good. Job should have been 4 days but he was here for over 2 weeks off and on. The place was a complete mess for the two weeks. They did clean up every night but the dust was terrible. Close the garage doors! Hired a temp mason for one day and his work was not good. They had to redo some of that work. <br /> Had to charge extra for removing some of the concrete stoop because it was twice as thick as he expected. I think he should have noticed that before the job started. Had to convince him to change some of the details of the job that my wife and I did not feel were going well. He changed it to the way we wanted after some convincing. His right hand man typically agreed with our opinion and not his. They argued a lot. <br /> The overall stone work looks great. Have had many complements. Had a small amount of tuck-pointing that needed to be done after a front door was installed. He stood me up on our first appointment. That was 3 weeks ago and I can't reach him now. Guess I will have to call someone else - should have held off on some of the final payment! <br /> Certainly could use some organizing and professionalism. Would not use again. <br />

We agreed this would  be a 1-day job, since I would need to be there also.  I told them I did not want to come many times, I'd come one time and only interrupt the tenants 1 day.   Then they tried to make this a 'fill in' job where they would come a few hours at a time, and they did not come when promised.   Their attitude made it impossible for us to trust them to finish the job.  We did find another mason who finished the job quickly and got it done in 1 day. <br />

Charles explained everything in great detail and kept me informed every day. He suggested ways I might save money and also make the walls aesthetically pleasing. Great job at a fair price!

Excellent! I would highly HIGHLY recommend CNC for excavation, masonry and foundation repair. Charles (owner) is very detailed oriented. He uses quality materials. The city inspector even commented that the materials used were high quality. CNC also cleaned up the job site meticulously each day.  <br /> Charles found brick that is almost impossible to find in order to match my existing planter brick. Another company that did work on my house in the Spring said they couldn't find that brick so they used a "close match" of a brick which is not really a close match at all. Charles went to IL to find me brick that matches perfectly and he gave it to me at cost. He even had the receipt to prove it.  <br /> In the spring, CNC will come back to do additional brick work around my house. <br /> <br /> I will attach some photos so you can see the work they did. <br /> <br /> I cannot say enough good things. <br /> <br /> This project went amazingly well.

They were on time, did nice work, were on budget, and cleaned up completely.  They were even careful to match the existing mortar color even though I said that it wasn't that important.  They obviously take great pride in their work. They did some extra caulking at the roof line even though that wasn't in the contract.   I'm completely satisfied. 

Chuck and his team arrived when they said that they would, and they cleaned the work area up at the end of every day. Because my neighbor's home sits close to the area on my chimney where they were working, they made sure that no damage was done to their property. Chuck gave me an update each day they were working on the chimney, telling me what they would be doing that day, and when they expected to finish the job. He also hand picked the replacement brick for my chimney, so that it would match the rest of the brick. It looks so good now that you would never know that so much work had been done on the chimney. Chuck also enhanced the top several courses of brick to add a more decorative look to the chimney from what I had before. I also asked him to add a cap on the top of the chimney for a more finished look. Chuck also spent some time with me looking at all of the brick on my home. He noticed another area on the front of my home that will need to be repaired. He'll be coming back in Spring to give a quote on that work. And based on the quality of the work that he performed for me in November, I'll definitely be using him again. He's resonable, very knowledgeable, and very conscientous about the work that he performs.
