The rep that came out asked questions and wanted to see where and what damage the leaky roof created, and of course, inspected the roof. Very professional from the vehicle he was driving to the clothes and hygiene of himself.

Went ok at first. However, on 9.20.17, we discovered it was leaking in the recent rains. I called them today and they are going to call back to discuss. Hopefully, they will be as professional as I thought.

After a number of discussions & estimates with different roofing companies we chose Pressure Point. We did not select the roofing company advised by USAA. Matt Stone of Pressure Point was the most knowledgeable and answered all my questions in keeping with what I had learned in my intense self-taught knowledge about roofing. We also had 6 sky lights that were over 35 years old & needed to be replaced as well. And given that the house was built in 1980, we also replaced all the gutters and downspouts. I am a very critical person. My occupation is a scientist involved with leading edge cancer research. I am used to analyzing situations & coming up with solutions. Rarely do I glibly give any person or company an A rating. Matt and the entire crew at Pressure Point were outstanding in all aspects of their work, from A to Z. Wood rot was removed & replaced. The old roof tiles were quickly disposed of. No mess or bother on my part. New underlayment was installed & Decra stone covered metal roofing was used (rusticoclay style). Pressure Point also replaced a huge beam supporting our car port that had undergone wood rot. Everything that was done, was done right. The price below includes new roof, new skylights (some solar powered with shades) and new gutters as well as replacement of a huge 25 foot long massive beam in the car port.

The technician found three areas for one leak that were very likely the sources. He took pictures to show me the underlying problem(s) and the water trails. He did a fix of each. I'm impressed! Light years ahead of the H. roofing company who had been here at least twice before this year and spent 15 minutes giving no information, other than: "... the wind does it and these are hard to locate..". The other leak was at the solar panel anchors where the sealant had failed and the other guys had failed to address the condition of the caulking. I'm thinking, from watching, this guy he has resolved the issues until we can re-roof this summer. He sealed the edges where he saw leakage and replaced several screws. He also resealed the anchors. Haven't got the bill yet and it hasn't rained again today, but I'm feeling like we should have called these guys first! No pressure to buy. No BS. Just the facts of why the tar paper is failing and what happened to the original adhesive we used 34 years ago. A+

Pressure Point Roofing is AMAZING!!!! We are currently in the process of buying a home. We decided that it would be wise to find out how the roof of this 11 year old home looked like, and get an estimate on how long the roof is going to last. Matt, the owner of the business came out. He was a breath of fresh air!!! He was incredible!!!
Let me first tell you where I'm coming from, and the experiences I had with OTHER roofers:
The first company that came out (Derek from Apex roofing) did an alright job, but was lacking in professionalism. He REALLY was so knoledgable though. I was seriously impressed with I had to "talk" the roofer into getting on the roof (he even gave excuses of how he didn't bring his equipment with him). I walked around the home once (about 6 minutes) and the roofer was already on the ground by the time I came back to the front. I thought it was getting to be obnoxious to tell him to get back up there again. Obviously he didn't do a very thorough job. This evaluation cost me $150 but the customer service was seriously lacking. Because of all of this, it made me wonder if he was cutting corners somewhere else, and put his whole evaluation into question. This roofer said this 11 year old roof would need replacement in the next 3-6 years. Nobody in this transaction was expecting that. His report came 6 days after he had come to inspect the roof. I was really not impressed, and in fact annoyed.
Because of this, my Realtor got two other roof evaluations. The experience just got worse. The second roofer was suppose to be at the property look at the home. I was 10 minutes out from the time he said he was getting on the roof. By the time I got to the home, not only was he down, his ladder put away, he was waiting in his car for me. Again... did he really get on the roof? If I'm paying good money for an evaluation, I expect them to lay eyes on the roof, take pictures, and give me a thorough assessment of what the roof is like. The second roofer tried to grease me into thinking the roof is fine and mentioned upwards of 4 times "I shouldn't let something like this roof stop me from buying this home." I wasn't paying him to help me feel better about the roof, I was paying him for a professional opinion which I didn't get. This roofer made it sound like you don't have to replace a roof until it was leaking. I don't want my roof to leak. Leaking causes damage. Bottom line.... this was not ok. I was beyond frustrated. My faith in roofers was seriously going out the door. This roofer said the roof was going to last 11 years. The second roofer wrote up an evaluation that was made up of a few sentences. Seriously lacking in information. I was not convinced ans seriously not impressed.
The third roofer that my Realtor sent, went without me being there (which I was not happy about). This roofer said the roof was fine and would last 10+ years. The "evaluation" we got back (and payed $100 for) was 3 sentences in an email. ARRRRGH! What is it with roofers???
At this point I took things in my own hands. The last two roofers were called in because of a time crunch we were under. I contacted my agent and informed him that I got on Angie's List and found a roofer with a good reputation (Pressure Point Roofing). They were super busy and could only fit in an evaluation a week away (on a Thursday). I didn't care if the transaction had to be pushed back a week. I needed an opinion of someone that knew what they were doing. The reviews on Angie's list of this company was very promising so I booked the appointment. The were super busy (a good sign!) and most of the regular guys that do evaluations were all out on jobs.
My Realtor called up Pressure Point and asked if there was ANY way that we could move the evaluation up. Matt, the owner of the company moved his schedule around and came out to do this for us. We were all so grateful. My Realtor used to be a contractor and personally knew Matt too. He totally trusts Matt and said that he is honest, professional, and very knowledgeable. This sounded like the kind of guy I wanted to check out our roof.
Matt was a few minutes late, but had called to let me know. He's the owner of a company that has 5 roofing crews working right now. I'm just grateful that he could fit us into his busy schedule!
Matt looked at the roof and started asking me questions. I didn't give him any details of what I wrote above. I told him that I wanted a full assessment of the roof. I wanted the roof measured and pictures taken of all of his findings. Matt got on the roof and was up there for about 30 minutes!!! I couldn't believe it! He was really taking this job seriously.
When he got down off the roof he chatted with us for another 20 minutes. He addressed all of my questions and more. He told us the roof had about 5 years of life left in it, if we got all the moss cleaned up. He was super detailed oriented. He caught things that the other 3 roofers didn't see (literal holes in the corner of the roof where the siding and roof meet... seriously nothing stopping the elements from getting to the wood of the roof! He also found several issues with the gutters that nobody else found, and a siding issue).
I asked Matt when he would be able to get the evaluation back to me and he said within a day or two. The next day he had it to me.
Oh the evaluation!!! Where do I begin??? He took 9-12 pictures (sorry I didn't count) of what the roof and gutters and siding was doing. He got all the pictures to me. He had measured the roof and the pitches and had them all diagrammed out. Seriously, about 8 pages worth of information. He had a letter that explained his findings, all the same findings we had talked about. Then he had the bid for roof replacement and roof cleaning, all separated EXACTLY as I had asked.
By the way, the bid from Pressure Point Roofing was about $300 more than Apex roofing, for a total roof replacement. BUT remember, Matt pays his crews well. He makes sure that they all have workman's comp (so you don't get sued if someone falls off the roof).
If the purchase of this home goes through and I need to put on a new roof, there is no way I wouldn't use Pressure Point Roofing! Your roof is such a huge investment. If you want it done right by true professionals you know who to call!
They are booked out by several months so plan ahead.
Thank you Matt for your expertise and for giving us the kind of experience that we expected from all the other roofers.
They came out to assess the problem and had several solutions to offer. During the 100 plus days, our 3 ton AC wasn't keeping up and we wanted to try to fix anything that might help. Our skylight covers were leaking badly and there wasn't enough airflow into the attic.Gave us a price on several options, we picked what we wanted and they did the work quickly. Did all clean up and hauled away all trash. Very pleased with the work and it has helped tremendously.
They did a great job, professional and punctual from start to finish. James, the estimator, knew what he was doing and suggested a more cost effective approach than another contractor who had also wanted to put in new gutters and different skylights.
The crew was very efficient, meticulous, and friendly, and did the job in the estimated time (two days), cleaning up the worksite thoroughly at the end of each day. The final cost was as initially quoted ( written quotation), and they repaired an area with some dry rot without adding an extra fee. I would recommend this company without hesitation!
James and Dustin were very professional, patient, and supportive with all our questions/concerns.
They provided photos of areas where work was performed and we could not see. Having been burned by finding work undone but paid for by past company, this was piece of mind and a support every contractor should offer!
We will recommend Pressure Point Roofing, Inc and call upon them again for any of our roofing needs. Thanks guys!
I contacted the contractor to check our roof after a severe wind storm had torn away some shingles. They came out and gave my 10-year old roof a complete inspection and found some minor issues (caulking, etc.) but showed me pictures of all the minor problems including loose shingles. They came out a few weeks later and performed the repairs. They were very professional and even gave us a 5% Angie's List discount. The repair man had photos of all the work that was required and showed us how he fixed all.
Simply put - very well from inception to finish - I am very pleased with the service overall.
I am currently in the process of collecting bids on a garage extension (as of March 2015).
I am planning to use Pressure Point again for further additional roofing needs once the garage extension has been built
(hopefully completed by late Spring 2015 at the latest).
I DEFINITELY cannot say this about all of the contractors I have used in the past couple years, but as far as Pressure Point, they are/were by far the tidiness group. They picked up after themselves leaving virtually no trace.
(My roof was installed in Dec 2014 = cold, very wet, holidays....)
Pressure Point did an excellent overall job.
I highly recommend this company.
(Thanks again guys!)
