If I could give negative stars, I would. What was estimated (by phone) to be a $150-180 job came in $800+ They took advantage of my 82 year old husband, who had had a stroke and is not tech savvy, installing a garage door opener with all the bells and whistles. I had Covid at the time and was not overseeing the install. They took our brand new outdoor wall remote that we could’ve turned around and sold. I called and they said they would bring it right back and that the manager would call me. Neither happened. My car remote is faulty. They came up to check, took out the motor in their new unit, and we’re without a unit now until next week. I asked if it could be replaced with a cheaper, more basic, model and was told no. I will only change this review if our concerns are addressed. Also, I have been told numerous times that the office manager would call me back. But she never has. It happened again today.

We are new residents to NC and needed gutters immediately as we had water coming into the house. I called Bill Benetti at Presto and he came over very quickly to look at what was needed. The existing gutters on the house had not been installed correctly. They were too small and did not route the water off the deck. Bill gave us a detailed description of what needed to be done to correct the problem. He handled everything and got the job done quickly to prevent further water damage. I can’t say enough good things about this company ...very professional, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. They did everything perfectly and I just called them to install new garage doors for me. They care that the job is done well and they respond to questions and concerns even after the job is done. I highly recommend Presto.

In the end we got there... but it was a complicated journey. The clearly have some confusion in their office. We initially called for the a garage door repair... which was done in a timely and efficient manner. Three days after the repair the same door broke again - although much worse, necessitating the door to be completely replaced... which meant we had to purchase two doors, since we have a two door garage. We (and neither was the man who came out to quote us for the new doors) were never able to figure out exactly what happened to break the door after is initial repair. It really was a mystery... but in good faith, the offered us a discount on the new doors to compensate the charges for the initial repair. However - there seemed to be mass confusion of when the doors would be installed...they changed my appointment twice from the initially scheduled day and time... and on the final day, the installer showed up late. After asking if they could come early... so some minor inconvenience on my part. They the day after the install... someone called from the company again because he was scheduled to bring out and install my new doors (which had been installed the day before). Finally - the doors work fine, look good... all involved were kind and helpful... but lacking in organization. A few days after the doors were installed, we did find and outlet that had been removed for the install, had not been replaced as it should have been. We just fixed this on our own instead of having to deal with the confusion of scheduling again. Great team... that just required a little extra patience.

Bill Bennetti is an experienced gutter person. He did not sell as much as helped me solve a problem with my gutters. I am convinced the best solution was new gutters. The installers were fast and professional.

The staff was courteous and professional from the initial phone contact to the repair tech Jaime who was very knowledgeable and efficient in his work. Their price was very reasonable and service was excellent- will definitely use them again!

Jamie came to repair the door but needed to order a part. Some delay in getting the necessary part but it's works beautifully now. Jamie was the nicest technician I've worked with. He was very knowledgeable and informative and I would highly recommend him and Garage Doors and More.

My garage door was completely inoperable due to a broken spring. Garage Doors and More had performed the same repair on my daughter’s home, and I was very impressed with the quality of their work. From my first contact with this company, I was treated cordially and they worked quickly to schedule the repair. The technician was very careful and thorough, as well as polite and professional. Looks great but had some leaks. Called and emailed them several times. They took my money but now they won't come out to repair the issues nor contact me. Buyer beware!!!

This company is either running a scam, or they're about to go out of business. My garage door motor, bought and installed by them, stopped working, so called them to service. It took them 2 days to show up, and that was at 8:00 PM. The motor is still under warranty, and was told they'd replace next day. Received a call after we called to see when the **** they were coming 2 days later. The extremely unprofessional woman on the phone made a point of telling me that if the motor was damaged by lightning, it voided the warranty. I have a surge protector on the outlet, and there was no lightning on the day it ceased working. The service guy showed up yesterday, and without even looking at the motor said it had been damaged by lightning so no warranty. AND he didn't even have a replacement motor with him, so he knew he wasn't going to replace it. I'm going to call the manufacturer and tell them about their installer, and I would strongly advise anyone in need of garage door replacement or repair to AVOID these cheaters.

"[Member Name Removed], just to be frank, and to the point, we have no reason to deny any client a fair warranty assessment. As a company, we don't warranty the product, the manufacturer does that. They reimburse us for any parts that we use to repair any of their motors. We just mail it in and we get funded. It literally cost us revenue by not fixing legitimate warranty items. I do understand that you may have had a surge protector on the unit, but that does not stop power surges through the photo eyes. To avoid these types of damages, you would have needed a different type of surge protector that has outlets for the safety eyes. As for your motor, we would not replace the motor in this situation. The part is a logic board, and that would be sent by the manufacturer to you, and then we would replace. We run in to this on occasion, and there is no need to look at the motor. These power surges are a common thing, and we know how to spot them. This aside, I do want to apologize for the attitude of the person you spoke to in my office, that's unacceptable. We do offer other services that you have not used in our business. If you would like a free gutter cleaning on your home, or if you would like to discuss the expense of the motor install you can email me at rbroome@mydoorpro.com. I will be glad to do what's needed to help resolve this. I know walking away from an experience like this and feeling poorly about a purchase is not a good feeling. Mike showed up a few minutes earlier than scheduled, which was nice. In 20 words or less, it took him maybe 10 minutes to isolate the problem and fix it. The extension springs which help raise the door were making the squealing sound. A generous dose of lube ended the problem. It never occurred to me that springs extending (only made the noise when the door lowered) could make that kind of awful sound. Thanks, Mike! (Used the Angie's coupon)

Nick the salesman that came to my house and took measurements was very professional. He gave me a lot of options for my new door, and I picked one that I thought would look good. He told me that replacing it would not be an issue but they would have to special order the door from their supplier because it had to made to fit the opening. I feel like their price for the new door and installation was very reasonable, and the door looks great. Nick was very helpful through the whole process, and now I have a working garage door that looks good on my house. I will hire them again if I have any garage door needs.

Fantastic. Mr. Taylor installed the doors, was right on time, had everything he needed, and was finished exactly when he said he would be. Very nice, considerate worker. The doors look beautiful! Had a minor problem, which he came back and fixed first thing the next morning. The company was easy to work with, very communicative about the process. I had three different estimates made, Garage doors & More of the Piedmont was the only company that had a small sample with them of the three choices of types of garage doors, I was considering. The cost was more than reasonable! Thank you so much for a job well done!

Visit 1: on 8 August: Technician arrived and installed door but 2/4 of the panels were damaged. After over 6 hours on site he was unable to get the garage door to open. This meant the door was stuck in the closed position. Visit 2: soonest a technician could visit was 14th August. Technician arrived, claimed he had brought 2 damaged / wrong panels. Made no attempt to get the door functional and left leaving trash on the drive. I had to call the company to find out when they would return. Visit 3: 16 August. Technician arrives at different time than agreed, installs doors and leaves. Door fails to fully open, meaning the bottom of the door is about 6 to 8 inches below the garage door frame. Flashing poorly installed and not sealed / caulked and dirty marks on doors and frame. Visit 4: 17 August: After a complaint another representative visits. He corrects & seals flashing. Tries to adjust door and cannot. I make it clear it is not satisfactory and he promises multiple times for the sales person to call and discuss how it can be made right. The garage door now opens but bangs and shakes and it stops with such force I am concerned it will cause damage. For safety I stop using the door. Sales person never calls. On 24 August I spoke with the owner of the company. She was very re-assuring and promised to have her best technician make it right on 30 August between 9am and 11 am which is the soonest we could support a visit. August 30th - Technician did not show up. At 1130am I called the office and was told the technician was scheduled for between 3 to 5pm. I was extremely clear with Nick in office that the door must be properly installed by the end of the day and for him to inform the owner of the situation. Called the sales person & owner and left messages. Neither of them returned calls. Technician did not arrive in the 3 to 5pm window promised with no call from the company. Through out this process I have had to be proactive calling and the company has been poor in communicating. I finally submitted a review to angieslist dispute resolution team and left a message for the owner. Later the office contacted me and offered a technician to come out 2 days later which I had to insist was not acceptable as we could not adjust schedules to be there. About an hour later their technician Jamie showed up. He was extremely professional and did an excellent job resulting in a perfect installation. The door opens fully & extremely smoothly which made me realize how poor their original installation really was (which I would rate as an F). Thank you Jamie for an excellent quality job (which I would rate as an A).

First the good news. The technician was friendly and very knowledgeable. He correctly diagnosed the problem and adjusted my garage doors so that they all operate smoothly. Now for the bad news - major sticker shock! He replaced 36 rollers and charged me $10 for each of them. The same roller is available from Amazon for less than $2 each. Since the material costs were less than $75, I paid roughly $875 for a couple hours of labor. That seems a little pricey to me.
