Cortez is one of the few honest people in HVAC who will not try to upsell. Choose Cortez or risk getting ripped off. Although he has one negative review on google reviews, I had a totally opposite experience with Cortez, it was nothing but positive. In talking with Cortez about the negative review, it seems that Cortez's side of the story was that he did try to resolve the issue with his unhappy customer, but the customer wanted a FULL refund rather than having Cortez simply addressing the issue. Obviously I don't know what happened, but as far as I was concerned, Cortez came out, installed my AC unit on one day. He came out another day to deal with balancing and dampers. Everything was professional, Cortez worked all day the first day until around 9pm at night in a 151 degree attic (according to the temperature gun) with no complaints, he balanced the air flow in the rooms to my satisfaction. Other companies tried to charge me many thousands of dollars more and I felt like they were "dirty" or that they had a "used car salesman" feel to them. Cortez is a younger guy, served in the military, and is no nonsense.

Same day response, punctual and effective at a reasonable cost. I really like working with Cortez - he is easy to get along with. Some people in this trade are offended by questions and threatened when observed...possibly because it inhibits their freedom to rip people off. But this man demonstrated confidence and expertise. He wasn't trying to take advantage of me and he did a nice job. What more can one ask for?

They respond very prompt with my request and fix my problem right away. I would recommend them. They do not try to sell what I don't need.

Cortez was great, on time and I loved that he did exactly what was needed to get our AC back up and running!!! Will be calling him everytime I need my HVAC system serviced.

I met Cortez about 6 years ago to replace my a/c and I use him to service/repair all my units at various properties. If you are reading this to decide what AC contractor to use, just choose this guy. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Cortez.

Cortez provided me a lot of information on his initial visit. Confirmed my existing 3 ton AC unit (11 years old) was not repairable. Shared his extensive residential AC knowledge with me and patiently answered ALL of my many questions (I am a question box type). He is very forthcoming and low key and I found this very reassuring. Cortez provided me the information and allowed me to make my own decisions. He wasn't the least expensive but also wasn't the most expensive; right there in the middle. The AC replacement went just as he predicted in terms of time to install. He filed the manufacturer's warranty registration on my behalf. Cortez was punctual and reliable. He always arrived when he said he would. Cortez was an excellent communicator. He communicated with me both through email and text messages. Overall, he saved me ~$2500 on a top brand AC unit versus another bid who wanted more money to install a tier 2 brand unit. Cortez is my AC go to guy from here on. Plus Cortez is a US military veteran. Like to support veteran owned businesses when possible; they earned it.

My condenser was not working But when he left everything was working properly I was very pleased with his service and his professionalism I will refer him in the future if needed!

Cortez is very professional. He provided me accurate estimates and explained the pros and cons of each AC brand he was able to offer (basically, any AC unit I wanted). He did not apply pressure of any sort. He is ex-Army and a very low key type personality. Shared with me that he learned the HVAC business working alongside his father as a child. Is there any better way to learn a trade? He has provided excellent after the sale service. Cortez Prevot is my go to AC guy forever!
