It didn't go very well at all , they were hired to do trenchless sewer replacement instead of tearing the entire property up , they installed the permalimers got paid $30,000 and I was to handle inspection !! Failed inspection miserably the last section of liner was collapsed , contacted price busters Beau & Zach they were aware of it and I kept getting the usual we will be out there sometime today which never happened not for 2+ months !! Meanwhile I have raw sewage being pumped right into the yard !! 60+ days later they finally make it back out (after being paid in full ) over 2 months ago tear the property up with backhoe ( I couid of done that ) broke out water service in the process ( took weeks of flushing to get that right ) but come to find out permit expired and owners so upset with me hired someone else to compete job the right way leaving me without pay !! Try talking to owners price busters ???? Not having it can do no wrong ????

They replaced the pipes, including in the wall, tho they didn't replace the drywall they cut out, and which they told me they wouldn't. Not their forte.

It took several emails and a call before I received any response. Then, they were a no show to the appointment. I tried to reach out again but no response. Ugh.

Had to cut a hole in under our cabinet to access the pipes leading to the outside. The worker was reluctant to do it as he understood I didn't want a whole inside my cabinet but he double checked with his supervisor and made sure all other options were considered first. He worked neatly and precisely and placed a panel over the opening that looks absolutely fine. Faucet works great now.

Perfect. It was excellent. They were wonderful. They were here within 30 minutes and got the job done that morning. Pleasant to work with. We had prices from 3 and they were all right in there. They were very efficient and the workmanship was great. Out of all 3, they were here the quickest. Got here when they said they would be. Cleanliness and stuff like that probably wouldn't be up to my standard. The only thing was the cleanliness. They did saudering on my driveway so I was cleaning bits and pieces. That was the only thing, I felt they could be a little cleaner in their workmanship.

I called Price Busters Plumbing in late December 2016 to unclog two of our toilets. I picked Price Busters based on the recommendation of an Angies List A-rated plumber who was too busy to get to us. Zach arrived and unclogged the toilets, noting all three of our toilets needed replacing, which I was going to ask about anyway. He quoted a price of $385 per toilet and $79 per supply hose and shut-off valve. He said this was for a Western Pottery brand toilet, which I had never heard of. He assured me they were good toilets and that they were owned by Toto, a well known toilet manufacturer. I agreed, despite not having done any research on Price Busters or on Western Pottery toilets. Zach said we could get white or bone colors. Initially we agreed to bone but subsequently talked with Zach about getting beige which he said was no problem. Two Price Busters plumbers arrived on December 31 and proceeded to do the work. My wife and I were busy and did not observe the toilet installations until they asked us to review the work. While their work was acceptable, I was somewhat shocked to see that the new toilets where bone color, not beige. Also, the seat lids were very flimsy plastic. I asked the plumber what model of Western toilet they were and he said they were not Western but Mansfield Alto toilets. I subsequently found from both Canadian and Consumer Reports testing that these are among the poorest rated toilets tested. I paid the plumbers and called Zach. He apologized, saying it was just a mix up and that he could get the Western toilets in beige and would get back to me. I tried to call a day or two later and got an answering machine. I then called with a different cell phone and got Zach on the phone. Hmmm. He said he would call the distributor and get right back to me. He didn’t. In the interim I researched toilets and decided I did not want Western toilets. I also found out, by calling Western Pottery, that Western is not owned or affiliated with Toto so apparently I was lied to from the start. I also called around to Seattle area plumbing supply houses and none said they had any Western toilets though Keller Supply said they could get them. Also, Western appears to offer only white and cashmere colors. Is cashmere beige? It didn’t look like it on their website. I called Zach again and he said he had the beige Western toilets. I felt that I was the victim of a bait-and-switch, Price Busters hoping I wouldn’t object to the cheap bone color Mansfield toilets. So I told Zach I didn’t want the Western toilets. With all trust lost, I didn’t want Price Busters in my house again. I would like to at least be refunded the difference in cost between the Mansfield and Western toilets which seems to be about $100 per toilet for a total of $300. Although the work order did not specify the exact type of toilets (my bad), a verbal contract is binding. It will be telling to see if Price Busters lives up to our agreement. On January 18, 2017, I had the Mansfield toilets replaced with Toto toilets so I have paid twice to get what I originally wanted – replacement of three old toilets with high quality new toilets. I hope Angie’s list members will learn from my mistakes.
Response from Price Busters Plumbing
"Hello [Member Name Removed], we are very sorry you feel the way you do. That is not the experience that we want our customers to have. However, when we spoke to the supply house and they told us the western pottery toilets would not arrive for several days you then decided that they do not need to be that specific toilet. You also stated that you absolutely needed them installed the following day. We called every supply house in the area and were able to find the "bone" colored toilets which you now have. I need to let you know [Member Name Removed] that bone and beige are in fact considered the same thing. When you called and told us we installed the wrong colored toilets you said the ones we installed were white. We then apologized and offered to come out promptly and swap the toilets out. We even called the supply house and gave them a hard time for giving us "white" toilets instead of the "beige" like we ordered. At that point you refused. We by no means want you to be unsatisfied and are more than willing to go out of our way to change your feelings on our company. This is certainly not a bait and switch tactic like you stated. We take our customer service very seriously here [Member Name Removed] and would appreciate you reconsidering your review. We would be happy to work with you to get this done to your satisfaction."

Called 8 am in the morning. A plumber showed up 9:40 and replaced the toilet (1993) by 1:30 pm (had to get it from their warehouse). Total cost ($762.16) includes tax, 2-year warranty and disposal of the old one. Everything was perfect except the bill seems to be a little high. But I have not hired plumbing service recently and my price expectation might be dated.

The gentleman was professional; clean and he wore socks over his shoes. He cleaned up after he was done and he even had to run to a store to get a speciality part and it was more the guy that stood out more than anything.

I had to try 3 times to schedule them. The first appointment I made with them, nobody showed up or called that they weren't coming. The second appointment I made, the guy showed up 15 minutes late and didn't call. I had to leave for another appointment so I missed him. They finally showed up and on the third appointment. The work they actually did was good.

Great! Daniel was quite a bit late from another job and didn't do a good job communicating that (I had to call the office to get updates). However, once he arrived, he did a great job of (1) listening to what the problem was, (2) talking me through my options, (3) providing an emergency fix so that we wouldn't have to live without hot water for the weekend. Estimated price seemed high, but in the right ballpark. For the second visit, Daniel was on time, did all the work in the expected time, and came in below his estimate. He was helpful and answered all my questions and showed me how to plumb the drain. Altogether, quite pleased.

The plumber showed up several hours late without letting our house sitter know. She was doing us a huge favor and had no option but to sit around and wait. After identifying the source of the water, the plumber (Dan) went through several different types of snakes to be able to clear the blockage. We are thankful he was able to do the work; however after an expensive visit >$800 he mentioned that he would send a receipt with details on the work he did as well as his recommendations on what to do next. It has been over a month since he did the work, and we have received nothing. I have called and left four voicemails with Price Busters, as well as sent four e-mails and have received no response. Not only do we not have a receipt, but we do not have an ability to identify and solve the underlying problem without hiring another plumber to do the same work. I was planning on hiring Price Busters to come hydrojet our lines; however without a response - it certainly means we will be making a new plumbing loyalty.

Scheduling was easy and I received a call shortly before arrival as promised. They arrived on time, finished the job quickly and followed through on the price promised. There may be additional fees depending on where the plumbing is located and type of plumbing (e.g., in the crawl space, PEX plumbing), so be sure to clarify when scheduling and be very explicit. When I called I mentioned the pipe was in the crawl space, but on the day of the job, I was told there would be additional fees for going into the crawl space. They ended up honoring the original price though.

Had a clog in the system at my rental and needed someone there quick. I found Price Busters here on Angie's and was pleased with the service. I don't recall the name of who I spoke with but he was professional and helpful and the price was fair. Took care of the issue quickly and with no problems.

They could not wait for me to find outlet. They kept suggesting more costly services. When they left they said I owed them the amount Angie's list wanted even though I had paid Angie's list already which they knew. I would not hire again.

Great. Josh has come to our house 3 times in the past few months. First, he quickly and intelligently diagnosed a leak in our downstairs shower. Then he came out when our upstairs shower/tub fixture broke, diagnosed the problem, and came out again to replace the valve/fixture. He was able to help us out on short notice each time. And each time he came out he had other useful suggestions about plumbing and other general maintenance issues. Very friendly and helpful.
