"We make every effort to make sure our projects are done far superior in comparison with our competition. We have hundreds of projects completed. And not one of them have ever had any post or structural problems. We use twice the amount of concrete that our competition uses. I do what I say I will do. We adjust gates we install after they have been up for a few years for free, we re-stain wood for discounted rates. Anything that is regular maintenance on a fence we take care of. What we don't do is go back and fix storm damage or wind damage for free. This particular job was completed and signed off on. The customer was present for 60 to 75% of the job. Proper methods were used in all areas of construction. Customer requested used black chain-link for front area of property. He came to my shop and inspected the product. He signed off on it before project start, and after it was put up. It was also stated that we cannot warranty used materials. He wanted the cheaper option and agreed. All of the post have at least 80lbs of concrete on them. The gate post have more than that. I over built this fence on purpose. The property doesn't have good wind blockage, and it sits on top of a hill. We also went back after the fence was completed because one 2ft wide area of fence was kinked a little. We replaced this of course for no charge. When customer called saying the post in a couple places were loose I agreed to come take a look. This was months after completion. I went out and inspected. Based on my observations it was obvious the damage was caused by wind/storm damage. This can easily be taken to insurance and taken care of. He insisted that it was my fault. I told the customer a couple times that we have no problem fixing the problems but not for free because it wasn't craftsmanship that caused the problem. I also made the offer to do the work for much less than normal to take care of him. He wasn't happy with that. He wanted it for free. We can't fix things that mother nature does, for free and stay in business. What we can do is properly install everything we do and fix things we might miss, which happens very very rarely. Our customers are 99.9% of the time are elated with your fence, gates, pergola, or decks we put in. Normally I do more than what is expected to make sure they have no doubt in their mind to refer us to friends or family. It is my firm belief that this is a case where we cannot make this customer happy. We have done 2 other fence projects for the customer at other properties, and have not heard anything back negative about these. Also giving him a discounted rate for giving us the extra work. I do not feel responsible for the problems. I stand behind my work, and urge any of customers every time we do a job to please let me know if something needs adjusted. Or to call me for any future questions or help. We will help with insurance in storm damage. We are Professionals. With years of experience, and an excellent reputation. I wish the customer best of luck in getting his fence sorted out by someone else. Even though I offered a very nice discount to take care of him. I can not volunteer for something that is not our fault. This is deformation of character, and not right at all. This customer was very nice during and after the job up until this occurred. Our company is built on pride and respect. We did everything possible to find a solution and apparently that didn't work. Post that are installed with tons of concrete do not just loosen up for no reason. Chain-link doesn't bow when stretched and tied off with more ties than necessary. Anyone that needs character references or jobs of mine to look at please let me know. I will give you more than you can look at in a full month."
"Mrs. [Removed member name] Thank you for your review. I hope all is well. I am constantly striving to improve in my communication and timeliness. I apologize that I dropped the ball in those areas. Thank you for your compliments on most of the work we provided. That means a lot to me and I am thrilled that your fence is serving you well. As you know Prime Fencing is a small company consisting of me and 2 employees. Each day I do everything I can to provide top notch service. All of our reviews where work was completed are great responses. If there is anything I can do to correct anything on the work we did please let me know. Your overall happiness with my services are very important to me. It could be that the install was a good while ago, but I don't recall there being any problems with the finished product itself, but that I wasn't always available to answer the phone. My apologies. The chain-link size was an issue. The size of the diamonds that your fence had were of a size that weren't available at the time. Also the bottom stay wire, is stretched between the post and the fabric and then hog-ringed to the fabric. (chain-link) This is a standard method, used by most fence contractors on residential jobs and commercial jobs. I hope this explains why we did the bottom wire that way. It is very strong and works well. If there is a need to install more hog rings, we will do that for free. Also I don't want anyone to think that if their job is cheaper than someone else, that they aren't just as important to me. I view every project with great pride and a mindset to provide better service than any other company. Thank you again for your review and don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything. I would be more than happy to assist you in correcting any problems."
